Pakistan captain Babar Azam struck 82 as his side chased down Zimbabwe's 156/6 to win the first T20I by six wickets, with seven balls to spare.

The result means Pakistan stretch a perfect record against Zimbabwe in T20Is to 12 matches, having won every encounter between the sides in the shortest format.

The hosts will also now carry a 1-0 lead into the second T20I on Sunday, 8 November at the same venue.

Zafar gohar should definitely get a chance here.He is much much better than that darter mediocre Imad wasim
 
Wasn't Azam Khan part of the squad also? I hope he plays both remaining matches in place of Mohammad Rizwan.

As much I started to like Rizwan the test player I am starting to dislike Rizwan the LOI player.
 
Ihope there will be one change Fahim, I want to see the rest to play again. We need to confirm if Fakhar can be further relied on or not, is Khushdil good enough, and Usman can improve on his fair debut.

If Shafique and Gohar aren't playing then I'll give this a miss. Don't know why Misbah insists on playing four pacers like he's in Perth.
 
Khushdil shah reminds me of some Awais Zia mark my words this guy isnt international class of player. Just like zia and talat this guy will play a few matches and will be lost in wilderness and my God if you take this guy at 25 years old Ifthikar is 30 indeed.

Said it b4 it will be an unchanged one......and in 3rd t20I.....Musa might play alonwith Abdullah who is not a t20 batsman by the way.....So Zafar and Abdullah will be denied precious first class..... experience .....
 
If you aren’t gonna make any changes to the playing 11 atleast bat first smh.
They should be batting and putting a massive total on the board.
 
All excitement gone unless Hasnain Rauf keep on impressing us... Babar becoming a puppet captain....
 
I suppose they select Fahim to allow opposition some runs to make the game interesting.
 
I’ve lost interest in following Pakistan cricket because of Misbah. There is no aag, excitement, young blood etc. Experimenting has become a myth. #MisbahOut

Absolutely horrible from Wasim Khan.

I will not blame Misbah because he is the choice of Wasim Khan.

Talat Hussain should not have been dropped, and he is better than Khushdil and also can easily replace Fahim. His 4 overs bowled will be no worse than Fahim's.
 
We need Zimbabwe to win the toss next game. Even they are sick of batting first
 
Why pick untried players? To carry the towels and drinks I guess.
 
It's funny because the one thing that a coach can do to show belief in young players is to give them responsibility in pressure situations. The series isnt yet decided, and playing Shafique and Zafar would have demonstrated that he will rely on them, but no...

Also, I now expect them to play on Tuesday. And if, God forbid they fail, see them not being picked again. This will especially be true as Misbah may well get replaced post NZ and the New selector would not have seen Zafar and Abdullah play except their failure when they could have been making an impact in first class

It would have been better to select Sohail Khan and Imran Khan than Abdullah Shafique and Zafar Gohar if all they had to do was carry drinks and clap in the dug out.

Actually I was disspaointed when Abdullah and Co got selected as I knew there there opportunity To play meaningful 4 day cricket.
 
Not sure if im watching the first t20 or the 2nd t20 on the stream.

Pakistan are treating this fixture like the world cup 2015, our aim is to bowl these explosive teams to a below par score and make the chase easier for us
 
It was so obvious Gohar and Shafique wouldn't get a game. Don't get how some of you didn't see this.

Against good teams we will get massacred if we have a losing mindset.

I hope naseem Rauf and hasnain is the pace attack for Shaheen in nzl and the best of the 3 plays the tests as a 3rd pacer
 
If Misbah’s contract would have been of one year, I doubt he would have gotten an extension. Wasim Khan needs to think it in similar way rather than hoping for Misbah to complete his 3 years tenure in a respectable fashion as its not looking likely. National cricket team is a more valuable asset than compensating a coach by terminating his contract early.
 
Give Hasnain a couple of overs in the death please, the poor lad deserves some cheap wickets.
 
I don't think Rauf is a new ball bowler. He should be a 1st change bowler.
