no we need to find some young fast bowlers who can bowl with the new ball and have ability to take wickets with the new ball

which so far with the new ball rule change is missing for pakistan
 
This pitch is much harder to bat on which shows the Pakistani batsmen played some good knocks e.g. Hammad, Umar, Afridi & Sarfraz.
 
Bangladesh making this total look like they are chasing 400...

Too much pressure on them... This is where minnows take it to the next level to be considered as a real cricketing nation...

I remember certain Srilanka who took that step back in early 90's with style... Now they are one of the top cricketing sides... Can Bangladesh do that??

It will be a major blow for Bangladesh if they lose this game... Its not about losing the Asia cup... Its about losing that great chance to jump into the Big Boys league and the confidence they get from it..:afridi
 
We have a pool oof talented fast bowlers back home as we always have, if pakistan doesnt have fast bowlers the art would be soon dead its just the parchi system

only sarfaz played a good knock out of those. The rest gave their wickets away when we needed them to stay in. Afridi is bowling very well with the ball though.

Umar hardly gave his wicket away it was Umpire who decided its time for him to walk.
 
Might be worth reintroducing hafeez for Afridi here given that shakib's at the crease and run rate is req. run rate is climbing.

I think BD has done quite well by beating SL and India. They were very competitive against Pakistan in the first game and now this final seems to be going down the wire. So hats off to them even if they don't win tonight.
 
Cheema back! he needs to keep things tight this is a crucial stage of game here and we cant leak runs!

hammad and afridi gave their wickets away

umar akmal was given out on a howler that was a wide no where near did he touch the ball with bat , glove or pad it missed everything
 
BD will go after Cheema, mark my words. He may get a wicket or go for plenty.

Umar was playing very sensibly today until he was given out off a horrible decision.

Hammad was playing like that throughout his innings. Hitting the odd boundary and releasing pressure. If that shot came off you would be the same person to say it was great from Hammad. The execution was just wrong, idea was right.

Afridi, well he's hit and miss but his innings today was crucial. Quick runs at a vital time and putting the Bangladesh bowlers under pressure.

Yup. Every match has been hard fought so provided we win the cup will actually mean something...

subcontinent teams usually underestimate the power of singles.. India seems to be the only one that can keep up a good rate without scoring boundaries
