I have always been samis biggest fan. Still am. But i'm afraid his string of chances has now come to an end. Give him a break i say and bring him back when hes ready and firing. I'd take him out and put rana or ali in for the next test. I reckon ali can cause them problems.

The game was lost in the first innings when Pakistan batted. Any team that collapses from 160 odd for the loss of one wicket to 274 all out on a placid batting surface, does not deserve to win and should not expect it either.

Having said that, the inability of the Pakistani batsmen to make any serious inroads into the English batting is disconcerting. Are they really as good as they are made out to be?

OUr negative mindset was clearly our downfall here. You cant win unless u believe u can. I mean there was no excuse for us to crawl along at 2-an-over on this paradise of a batting strip. THats what gave ENG a glimmer of hope. THey put the squeeze on to the extent that we resorted to desparate tactics. Having said that ENG is a very impressive bowling side. Much better than us. We need a leader whos alive and buzzing all the time. THats what gives a team impetus and motivation. Its about time that YK took over. It seems that leading from the front wont be enough for PAK team. WE need an in-your-face captain, a natural born killer, a guy whos whole persona screams "I'm here to destroy u and fight until the last ball". Ideally i wud have afridi as the leader rallying the troops but unfortunately they are not even playing him let alone make him incharge.

I am disguted by our performance. Our overhyped team deserves it number 7 test rating if they play like this.

Our batsmen should have made a big score after being 160-1. India beat us at the same venue last year by scoring lots of runs and put pressure on a placid track. Our batsmen probably relaxed and thought the going was easy. Were they expecting friendly mickey mouse bowling from a team which has beaten the Australians?

And today's only the second day of play. I can't really see them coming back into the game unless England collapse tomorrow with a lead of a hundred odd. Pakistan then, have to bat really well and score over 350 runs, hope the pitch breaks up and put Danish and Malik on. And even then, they'll realise how wrong they've been excluding Afridi.

I'd love to see Yasir Ali given a go if i was in charge of the squad

with the current squad i'd definitely include Afridi, and also Rana in the next match
