Pakistan vs South Africa: 1st Test: Day 1 from Centurion

Hah if he survives and scores well then These kind of things happen in cricket..

11.1 Nel to Imran Farhat, 1 run, Horrible Horrible shot. Should have been fatal. Lucky escape as Harris, at mid-on, doesn't judge it well, runs around in circles and hence the catch is not taken. It was short and outside offstump, Farhat, like Wasim Jaffer did in the second Test in the series against SA, goes for a pull shot. But it was well outside offstump and hence ended up going straight up in the air, to the mid-on region. Harris runs in forward, then goes back, then turns right, he saw all parts of the ground and doesn't manage to get to the ball.

Guys watching the broadcast, How are the openers playing. Any change in their batting technique and style.

Farhat and Hafeez riding their luck

Not really. They have been batting quite well........just one lucky over from Nel that is all.

Pollock is harmless these days to be honest. I'll be disappointed if Pakistan give wickets away to him.

Started of well but seems to have gone a bit iffy in last over or two.

pollock drying up runs on one side ... so batsmen taking risks at the other.

its wat test cricket is abt - building pressure

31/0 at the end of the over, Pollock has dried up runs from his ends how is that loose?

I think its the adreline rushes after every 10 minutes or so we have to be wary of.

If we don't loose any wicket until lunch well then we've an opening combination in the making..

like in my previous posts

they should take aslong as they want

i would rather take 450 off 200 overs than 200 off 40 overs

I think they need to rotate strike a bit and don't let one bowler to work on one batsman only. Keep taking singles

Agree with you if you keep one batsman in front of Pollock for a while he is bound to outsmart him sooner or later.

Its a general rule that if you stick long enough, you would get loose delieveries.. However Sometimes the bowlers deliberately bowl loose to get you out of the shell and commit mistakes.

I might be dreaming. 21 Overs and no casualty. Are these Pakistani Openers. ???

Pretty good start nonetheless...
Agree with that I would take an opening stand of 48 over that of 10 but still its a sad way to go really, he had already gotten one life but his adreline rushes just dont seem to end.

yeah with Farhat its an eventuality but the new ball has been seen off just a matter of keep rotating the strike and wait for the bad balls.

Still not a bad start.. considering he stood there for 21 Overs..
Agreed, but if Farhat has to make this position his own, then he has to make the most of the opportunity once he gets a start and that is the making of a great player
