Younis looks to be in a positive mood for scoring runs.

Lets hope he doesn't overdo it. The requirement ATM is that he sticks around.

both players look set for big scores now

They always are.. However a costly habit that has developed in Younis is that he is trying to be over agressive which doesn't allow him to go for big scores. With Yousuf missing, Younis should go on along and get a really big score..

I love the way Younis stares straight down at Nel after facing every ball and keeps looking into his eyes till the bowler turns around. Then both the batsman and the bowler smile once the bowler has turned around.

runrate is going up which is more important then just holding the bat.

exactly since champs trophy when YK was captain he has always tried to look be over aggressive. starts the innings well but throws his wicket. I hope with Yousuf missing he needs to ge t a real big one specially after the good start.

this is the way he plays nothing new here. Or some thing special for nel.

It isnt going too badly so far, I just hope the nerves are held and no stupid collapses occur.

Pakistan should bat out today with 300 and at least 3 wickets in hand, and then all will be on the shoulders of the pace bowlers when SA come to bat.

runrate is poor so 300 runs today in not posible

Pollock to Younis Khan, no run, beaten! Again Pollock continues to tease the batsman outside the off stump. Just rolls his fingers across the seam and it lands on a length and shapes away. Younis lunges forward to defend and is beaten.

It almost worked.

we should at least score 450 and posible over 500 if we want to put pressure on SA.

SA have done superb home work. They (although it is a universal truth now) know that Pakistani batsmen arent patient and have weakness around the off stump. But to know one thing and implementing is different. SA seamers are sticking to the plan and I sincerely hope Yk and Yasir exercise patience out there and just wait for the loose balls.

Nel to Yasir Hameed, no run, The sucker ball. Full and well outside off stump, Yasir goes hunting, trying to square drive it and is beaten. Nel is working to a plan here.

The national sport of fishing.

Cricket is a funy game can change over a couple of overs. Only takes a ball and a bad shot to get out. I think we should go session by session try and win each session and then will be there. No point having a target on mind getting ourself under pressure.

hameed at hes best

Younis looking in good touch, , first a 4, then playing a really awkward bouncer from Pollock well, followed by another boundary. Needs to go on and get a big one.

I hope Rahul DDravid is watching the way Younis is batting and maybe try and learn a thing or to, come on DRAVID YOU FTB show the world u r not a coward

Pollock showing me tha he isn't just a L and L bowler
Pollock to Younis Khan, no run, Hello?! snorter! Suddenly Pollock hurls in beast of a delivery. Kicks from short of length and it hurtles towards the throat of Younis who hops, some how gets his wrists working overtime and manages to fend it in front of him. Very well handled.

oh darn...that's the problem when you have rely on other people to tell you what happened!

50 partnership...the 2 Ys are doing well but the job is not done yet

hey fellas solid start.. souds like its seaming around eveerywhere

Saffie bowlers in my op look a bit worn out, I think back to back seriesi is taking a toll on them. Perfect time for Pakistan to stamp their authority and win the series, all they have to do is be a bit patient I think SA bowlers r looking defensive already, this tactic should work towards PAK's advantage..

38.5 Pollock to Yasir Hameed, FOUR, Pollock went for the sucker ball. Full and well outside off stump, Yasir takes up the challenge and square drives, in the air briefly, past point

a bit risky.

India should have won the series in that case as SA didn't have much match practice before they started the series against India..lol

Younis - 24 out of 29 runs from 4's
Yasir - 20 out of 27 runs from 4's

Yes we should have but thanks to Rahul the COWARD DRAVID we didnt win ;-)

LOL Saffies running for cover now, changing bowling like I change my underwear, PAUL HARRIS into the attack :))) :)))

Anybody watching who can tell me how Yasir is looking out there. I dont mean how great his boundaries have looked because his shot execution (if he go it in the middle) aways looked good.
I mean technique wise. Is he still sort of leaning/falling towards the offstump. Any change in his approach or still the same?

he's trying hard not to fish outside off stump against pollock. which is good sign.

He has been ok, alot of fishing going on and his running between the wickets is terrible as usual.

I also remember a hamstring injury making SRT look move like a 'retard' when playing Harris in no joke but all true sense, when he was fit check some videos of him against WARNIEEEEEEEE :19:

We're in good position, keep it up

we are not in good position at the moment because if wicket fail right now SA will have advantage. another 70-80 runs from these two are needed.

The saffie commies getting really annoying. In every second sentence they're mentioning the workload for the south african bowlers.

Key period to tea now. Dangerous Ntini is back on and the battle against Harris will be interesting. If we don't lose a wicket in the next 75 mins we will be in control.

if these 2 stay there we might get to around 320 at end of day

heres hoping they stay there and then tomorow inzi comes in with the bowlers really demoralized and hits an attacking 100
