OIC but how do you follow cricket livingin Turkey ? Do you watch cricket in Turkey on a regular basis? :11:

We have fox sports in Turkey and until last year they were showing the same programs here as FS middle east so I was able to watch most series but now FS has dedicated a channel just for Turkey, they are showing American college girls soccer etc. and I couldnt watch Ashes 2006 because of this.

I do use cricketon.tv nowadays for some matches.

If you are implying that I am not Turkish, well all I can say is ' I am '. So just take my word for it brother.

Inzimam scores 500 runs against South Africa
Oh How he has tormented them over the years

I cant believe how stupid PCB is dropping Butt & Asim, unbelievable :12:
Well Asim is in the squad so we might see him later in the series.

64.4 Nel to Yasir Hameed, OUT, Finally Yasir, after numerous near-fatal pull shots, succeeds. This is suicidal. There is a man at deep square leg. Banged in short, again outside the off stump and Yasir hits it straight to Ntini placed exactly for that. Pakistan have hit the self-destruct button in the last session.

I think the reason for these hook shot may be to tell the SA bowlers, that they cannot use it a tool of negative bowling or threatning bowling, during the rest of the tour.

But that is not say that Hameed is the brightest bird in the flock.

Nah I wasnt implying you were not a Kebab hehe j/k a Turk for that matter. But I must admit I am fascinated by your interest in cricket coming from a country that only knows a sport called soccer and nothing else .... :D

Yep a bit late mate.

I can sense a great innings is coming from Faisal.

Against south africa those must be set should go on to make big scores. If you don't do they will trigger collapses out of nowhere. It is very very important set batsmen make big scores.

Our batting atitude - when you can really take the game away or make it at least very difficult for opposition etc, we give it away on the plate. Soem one was saying we need to convert good starts to the sold totals!

Nel to Yasir Hameed, 1 run, Would you believe it? Another ungainly pull shot, again it just falls out of reach of mid-on. This is very very strange cricket. Masochistic. It is hurting you, one batsman is already down and you almost lobbed two catches, but you still continue to go for them. Nothing wrong with playing a pull shot but repeatedly, Hameed has been trying to fetch deliveries from well outside the off stump

Pollock to Younis Khan, OUT, The fatal pull shot. Younis Khan has fallen to the bait. Banged in short, on the middle and leg stump line, Younis pulls it straight down the throat of fine leg. He had top edged a bouncer earlier in this session, but has not learned the lesson. Big wicket this and a huge partnership comes to an end. Enters Inzamam-ul-Haq.

Nuff Said

I just love the sport mate.

People can we be a bit more supportive...

Geez, going by your hopes, predictions, reactions etc...we should have been out in both the innings by now!

FI is a pretty crap batsmen, if I were Smithy I would have Ntini and Pollock bowl for rest of the day and try and wipe out the tail.. oh wait there is Asim Kamal? he may do alright I rate him quite high
No Asim kamal in this test

Can anyone tell me what Woolmer and Inzimam see in Faisal Iqbal?
I hope the guy gets a 100 and becomes a legend but what is the basis behind persuing with him?

will inzy make any runs against SA now?

Well losing MoYo is a blow, but I reckon Inzi will step up to the plate, well I hope he does anyway.

i really badly wanna see a 100 from inzi and a big one at that

we need at least 400 here

faisal need to play fast. 1 of 19 balls is just pathetic.

Fear not, he is just steadying himself for the onslaught that will commence shortly. It will be raining fours and sixes, wait and see.

Geoff Boycott on discovering Faisal was Miandad's nephew during the Pak v Eng series

"As a batsman, Faisal Iqbal makes a good nephew..."

400 would be great, but I would be happy with 300-350.

We need a good partnership here and hopefully one of these batsmen can get a 100.

The guy looks absolutely petrified out there, if I were a pak supporter I would be hoping he scores as much as he can cause I have a feeling his innings will come to an end before the end of play...

Nothing wront with that, but he needs better stay in there and score runs eventually.

Pulling a tendulkar won't help pakistan, and certainly won't help his carear.

Actually if he pulled a Tendulkar he would be a legend, careerwise :D

well i was refering to tendulkar's approach to the game in the recent tour to SA, esp. the last test .... :)

Yet another great innings by Faisal its just simply pathetic that this guy even makes the squad let alone the playing eleven

why o why. faisal will always be a rabbit in the headlamps at test level.

I wonder where all Pak supporters have gone and replaced by these Parosee followers... :p

Faisal Iqbal goes for a fantastic innings of 1 of 26. Make the guy the new PM. I have shared with you guys what I think of Faisal, and what kind of move it was for him to come to South Africa ahead of more deserving canidates such as Afridi, Afridi, and oh yeah, Afridi.

Not to worry, Akmal and Inzy will pull us out of this!

I know you are a big fan of Faisal Iqbal but that is no reason to call us parosee followers.

Good thing banjha didn't surprise everyone with a good innings. The waste of space just put another nail in his own coffin. Mr. Bean Kamal the other guy on tour won't be much better.

Forget Afridi Kamal is a ten times better bat than Faisal but then again he is not related to Miandad which seems to count for a lot.

A 50 from Inzi, 30 odd from Akmal, 20 from Rana that should do it.
Kaneria to chip in for a quickfire 25...hes in hot form :p

On flat deck by South African standards we have thrown our wickets away. The vice-captain started the rot as usual with his untimely dismissal. Yet the other hollow heads didn't learn. When one witnesses such stupidity is it a surprise people throw allegations of wrong doing. This deck has no lateral movement and the one dimensional medium pacers of SA were looking lost.

Ouch, that was uncalled for...even after I called you all parosee followers :12:

Appologize or I am telling Saj

I think the pitch will suit Pak attack better but we still needs to score over 300 to put saffies under pressure.

We need ti get a decent target up in the last innings. The ball is already turning for a landa like Harris. Think of what Kaneria can do! And that to a attack that is so weak against spin!

To think some people actually believe that nephew is better than Afridi or worth his place in the team ahead of The Beast :)))

This is the last partnership that can make a considirable impact. After that max of 80 runs will be scored me thinks.

BTW 2nd new ball looms.

Knowing Afridi he would have wasted no time in getting out and suffering the same fate by his idiotic aggressive play...

I'd rather breed new young talented batman in the domestic over Fasial's selection.

I'd take Javed's niece over Faisal!

You do know 'Breeding' humans is illegal as opposed to breeding animals :26:

probably the most important period in the match. the new bowl is available soon if we get over it without losing a wicked 350 should be the target then put the saffies under pressure. on the other hand we might just get blown over

It maybe turning for Harris but we shouldnt rely on the unreliable Kaneria. He is not a match winner, he wont have the luxury of his 30 over per wicket strike rate.

Kaneria's strike rate in teh fourth inning is a impressive one. Countless times on the last day has he ran through a team just for us or started a dramatic collapse like he did vs Windies and England. And remember, South Africa are not good players of spin...so this can be the pitch for Kaneria to get his confidence back.

250 for 5 would be respectable for the first day, that would leave Pak to get 150 tommorow and take the advantage away from South Africa,

M Khan

Kaneria is a brilliant fourth innings bowler, he has won us many matches on the last day, England in Pak and India come to mind.

peera even 300 would be a good score. u r talking about 400. :22:

Pakistan should win this match, all the best ,and i am really happy to see the progress as well. Two things ,for the arrogance of Saffies and the .......err,.............attitude of some pak fans who want to see an innings defeat jus b'cos some body is not in the team.

Oh yeah i remember him taking hatful of wickets in England, Austalia and now here in SA. How stupid can I be?

Anyway we are getting ahead of ourselves the first job is to post a decent first inns total.

not Pak supporters really, some others' supporters, they would have been happier if the score card looked like 92 all out.you can expect more support from those so called "Supporters"

probably be end of play...

bad light!

242 - 5 even stevens... maybe slightly to saffies...

now 250 look too far.

O Niswaar Khana...have you already forgotten Multan and your endless support for the team back then :p

You have done yourself proud :14: :19:

Now you are getting it!

I did not bring Australia up, they are a great team and I would not expect him to run through them.

I never said he took a hatful of wickets in England. Read what I said. DO you remember when England toured Pakistan? It was Kaneria's explosion of wickets that won us those TWO matches. It was Kaneria who helped us win that 1st test match against SA in 2003 when Shoaib got injured.

Now this pitch is not your traditional SA track. Tehre is a bit of turn on day one. If the pitch continues break up...than Kaneria can be a handful for a team that is weak against spin.
