SA will declare on 500+, Pakistan will make 600+ and the match will end in a draw.......thanks for this PCB, this test match is some reality check coming back from the dizzying heights of 20/20.

You sure we will score 600?

Keep it up guys

i was being sarcastic. but you really do have point "pitch sahi na baney DNA responsible". whoever hire the curator should be fired along with curator. and its DNA responsability to make sure hire somebody who can make quality pitches

Dead pitch for South Africa???This is exactly what i wanted, they prepare horrible pitches for subcontinent teams, remember the last test in South Africa?? I think it didn't even last full 3 days. Our spinners need to play a big role and restrict South Africa to below 350.

It looks like this Hashim Amla only likes Pakistani bowling.

below 350....ha ha on a dead pitch..I think Pakistan might get restricted below 350. This test match has changed the traditional way Pakistan play cricket. dont know whom to blame for that. that person must be crucified. he has hurt the Pakistani tradition of aggressive cricket..victory or loss seems immaterial to me here

good knock by Kallis, he really knows how to drive a team into submission. This looks like a really dead pitch so I don't think I'm missing much.

Hope we can knock a couple more back before the close of play and it will be a decent day on the field.

hardly any spin for finger spinners and some spin for Kaneria. I guess the spin will kick in in a day or two
SA 270-2 after 76 overs

Didnt superstar Kaneria have a county stint recently and came back thinking he was a much more better bowler......is this dialogue of his constantly on repeat, as we have heard this on numerous occasions and he has failed to deliver, oh how we still have not replaced Saqlain and Mushtaq Ahmed and their void is so difficult to fill.

Pakistan batting will be as follow.

Salman 39 +/- 5 runs
Hafeez 69 +/- 4 runs
Yunus 25 +/- 3 runs
Malik 114 +/- 10 runs
Misbah 145 +/- 15 runs
Faisal 159 +/- 10 runs
Kamran 40 +/- 5 runs

and rest of the team will pitch in arround 75 - 80 runs.all in all pakistan will score 575 - 625 in their inning.

A bit generous with Faisal i see, if Faisal score that much, you know it is a dead pitch for certain and that this player has no technique or skill whatsoever.

horrible cricket from pakistan today just no enthusiam for this test matches. Look pretty bored in the field.

I know i am been generous with faisal ,but some one got to have faith in him and i think he score a 100+ against india in karachi (am not sure about the ground ) ,its just a feeling that he will score big in this match.

It's almost as though they don't take test cricket seriously.

Playing on a dead wicket in karachi heat will take the life out of anybody ,but tomarrow the boyz will come on strong and get SA out an hour after lunch.

stop talking out of your ass.

The pitch has been damn flat and we have not actually bowled that badly. We have fielded pretty poorly and I'll give you that, but the bowling hasn't been that bad at all. Kallis is known for batting all day on these sort of pitches. Plus, we don't know how well de Villiers and Boucher will do on this pitch so if we can somehow grab a couple of wickets before close of play, we have a good chance.

what is the point of supporting a team, if you lose faith in them after 80 overs? :20:

Bhaiau.....this has been a very hard to watch first morning. As a Pak fan it's been frustrating and quite boring, hence the following story to brighten up the day for those who feel like me:

True Australian Ghost Story

This story happened a while ago in Sydney, and even though it sounds like an Alfred Hitchcock tale, it's true.

John Bradford, a Sydney University student, was on the side of the road hitch hiking on a very dark night and in the midst of a storm. The night was rolling on and no car went by.
The storm was so strong he could hardly see a few feet ahead of him.

Suddenly he saw a car slowly coming towards him and stopped. John, desperate for shelter and without thinking about it, got in the car and closed the door, just to realize there was nobody behind the wheel and the engine wasn't on!

The car started moving slowly. John looked at the road and saw a curve approaching.
Scared, he started to pray, begging for his life. Then, just before he hit the curve, a hand appeared through the window and turned the wheel.

John, paralysed with terror, watched how the hand repeatedly came through the window but never harmed him. Shortly thereafter John saw the lights of a pub down the road so, gathering strength, jumped out of the car and ran to it.

Wet and out of breath, he rushed inside and started telling everybody about the horrible experience he had just experienced. A silence enveloped the pub when everybody realised he was crying and wasn't drunk.

Suddenly two other people walked into the same pub. They, like John, were also wet and out of breath. Looking around and seeing John Bradford sobbing at the bar,
one said to the other, 'Look, Bruce there's that damn idiot that got in the car while we were pushing it.'

well said and i agree with ya on that supporter losing faith in the team ,thats because most of the supporter here mainly support the individual player but not the team as in whole.

chance of a run out by Misbah failed to gather the ball
274-2 after 80 overs

Umar getting the ball to reverse a bit but I think we'll take the new ball..

Two pace bowlers brang back into the attack need to get a couple of wickets before the end of play

I am not doubting the players effort on the field even though they dropped catches and fielded badly. Just tell me how often you have seen Pakistan play with two spinners?? does it not look like an Indian team playing there?

tell me if it is the right thing to do byu preparing such pancakes on the claim that SA make bouncy pitches so we give them turners..

After that drive for 4, the new ball has been taken.

Come on Asif, just a couple of wickets please!

Finally !

81.6 Mohammad Asif to Amla, OUT, outside off, comes back off the seam, Amla thinks he has it covered until he hears the dreaded click of ball on stumps, the new ball does it

Well deserved success for Asif, the boy's got a big heart, keeps on going.

Another one before the close and it won't be such a bad day.

there are only two ways to get a wicket if you are a pakistani, bowled or lbw. all catches must be dropped

Around 7 over left today Pakistan are still able to get around 2 wickets in those 7 overs

Shabash merey sher, Thats the spirit

If it keeps on going like this I am afraid we have to settle for 3 wickets on day 1, and will salut Akmal and Butt for that

Stand up for thee curator,Well sir headds down you prepared hell of a pitch

Just catching up with the day's play. How many dropped catches were there? I understand Akmal had his obligatory drop keeping to Danish - any more?

good to see the Kallis drop has not been too costly.... he was on 36 at the time.....

Misbah at silly point, Kallis dropped by Butt at midwicket, Kallis dropped by Akmal, a run out chance between Butt and Rehman, a possible run out chance where Misbah didn't pick up the ball to throw

What do pakistan expect ? Make a flat track and play 2 spinners and S.A will just roll over ? This has been a wrong idea for a long time...S.A are GOOD players of spin these days....

sigh....oh well...you might have the learn the hard way .

butt sahib reaches the ball,OMG he picks that up cleanly,I dont believe my eyes he threw it to Akmal on one bounce

Fortunes are changing
