I feel like Pak owe it to SA batsman when they are coming back for tea break to stand on either side and clap for them as a sign of respect. SA has really shown us how to bat on Pak pitches, where as we are battin if we are in Austrialia.

Test cricket at its best: Boringest attack vs the boringest batting team. If it wasn't for our T20 hangover nobody would've given a damn about this boring format of the game anyway.

this is what test cricket is all about - it kind of reminds me when saqlain/gillespie were racing away to their solitary test centuries

Nothing beats watching the attack of Younis and Rehman bowl to the most exciting batsmen of their genera.t.i..zzzzz

Just what we needed after an exciting T20 world cup. I bet anybody who got into cricket last month has already run away.
 
Whats the point of having seven batsman if they can't score a run between them? Smith and Kallis put on more than the whole Pak first innings.

i must admit I have been well impressed with teh SA batsmens resolve in this series

and frankly their bowlers have been untiring

totally deserved teh test series victory

Why isn't Malik bowling. no overs by him this innings. The other bowlers are at about 40 overs each

Doesn't mattet what cricinfo or other say about SA batting ,they are playing to their plans to win the test match as well as the series for their country and they can care less about anything anything and anyone's pleassure.
Good on them .

Onlu if pakistani batsmen ,captain and the selector would learn from them and nest time select the player and the players to play and win for our country rather then accomodating individuals for their personal gains or records.
 
What happened is exactly what I expected last night.

They declared with 4 sessions to go. IMO, we can easily bat this out. If Pakistan wants to or not is a different story.
 
My preditction-

Pakistan 88 for 0 after 20 overs

Pakistan 101 for 5 at close

They should just go for the frikkin win. They're not gonna get anything by drawing, we still lose the series!

I wish we just stop experimenting with Kamran Akmal. When these people will realize that he is not an option to open the innings. Home ground, home series is a perfect chance to try a new openner (a new face).

10.2 Kallis to Kamran Akmal, no run, ooh .. it moved in the air and then jagged back off the seam to strike Akmal on the front pad, just outside the off stump. Had he not stretched forward so much, he could have been in trouble

Not a bad start. Kamran playing pretty well IMO, and Younis looking solid. With our tall middle order, anything can happen. If we could just somehow cut their lead to 350 today.

Can these guys learn from S.A players how to bat. Forget technique because you can't learn that but atleast learn how to approach the game. And what the situation is.
 
Maybe kamran Akmal should do what Karthik did..Just play as a batsman
