Pakistan battle to stay in the contest, reaching 94/4 with a 23-run lead on Day 3 of the second Test against South Africa

Just like Pakistan deserved to win the 1st test by outplaying SA left and right, SA deserves to win this test.

SA has beaten Pakistan at their game(so far)
 
Was very nervous about Pakistan over relying on spin and going in with only one pacer. The team management badly misread the pitch.
 
Will Pak batsmen take heart from the fact that their tailenders have had it very easy on this pitch?

How did he throw the game away? The field setting is fine. His mistake was not bringing shaheen for the new ball, that i agree with me.

Sometimes acknowledge the fact that an opposition batsmen can play an ATG knock and bat out of their skins.

Laxman managed to do so all those years ago, doesnt mean Ponting threw the game away.

This is cricket, it happens, it's nothing new.

As a captain his job is field settings, Dr's and batting and while shan has been just okayish at all 3, he can't control things that are outside the realms of humanity.

It doesn't matter what conditons they had, noman bowled better then SA spinners and SA spinners were god damn awful. That's a fact. Pakistan genuinely bowled and batted better and some SA wickets were thrown away by the batters.

This time SA has genuinely bowled better cause their top tier bowlers are back and their batters havent really made a mistake and have only gotten out to peach or Pearl deliveries.

They have punished Pakistan on catch drops as well despite dropping a bunch in the first innings.

Considering the fact that over 10+ catches got dropped, PK should have crossed 400-500.

How is the field completely spread to tailenders fine? Where is the pressure?

How was it fine when field was spread last ball to Muthuswamy allowing him singles?

Captaincy has been very poor, poor bowling choices, field spread to tailenders so no pressure, allowing Muthu easy singles of last ball when Rabada was new in his crease.

nothinh new but it happens too often with Pakistan

SA was 99/8 chasing 150 in Centurion Against us and Rabada played best innings of his life to win this

Bang was 26/6 at same venue last year and you would think most teama would win from that position but not us

Shan was allowing Muthuswamy singles off the last ball instead of trying to bowl more at a new-to-the-crease Rabada. But the way KG has been smashing it, I don't it mattered much

Bangladesh i agree with, as for SA, that was poor bowling from Pak, not really a Shan Masood fault. The field setting was fine

Again, its standard strategy to get an established batter out of the way and get a no 11 on strike.

Now the fact that the no 11 is playing like gilly atm? That's a mystery.

on That track Naseem Shah bowled so poorly. all our so called bowling stars choke so badly under pressure. it has become norm. If we are comfortably winning with Bat , we collapse like house of cards twice in asia cup against India and twice in this series

if we are doing well from bowling point of view , we will manage to choke against unlikely batters like Muthusamy

A first innings lead of 77+, while batting second, has never resulted in a loss at Pindi.

This match is running on very fine margins.

This is 100% agree with and thank you, @BouncerGuy

Take note, this is why I respect this poster cause he's one of the few unbiased posters.

I agree Shan is at fault, but you guys keep singling shan out to peddle an agenda. You go down with your ship.

These guys are professional cricketers not idiots. A field setting is a collaboration between a bowler + keeper + captain and this includes drs. Batting is the same where everyone has to contribute.

You go down with your ship, and its something people forget.

Dude people are talking about allowing singles of the LAST BALL of the over when Rabada was new at the crease. That's the opposite of getting no 11 on strike . Commentators were blasting the captaincy.

You are clearly not watching the match and are still chipping in for some reasons, when people saw valid issues.

How can I watch the game when i am at work and atm dont have access to a TV and cant exactly stream in HD on my laptop while working?

I aint firing my department just cause of a game. I am following the scorecard.

But @Nikhil_cric @Sachin fan and you should know that my knowledge knows no bounds, and that even if I dont want the game, I can already tell what field sets are placed and whos at fault + which player.
 
The way Pakistani spinners barring Asif have bowled on this pitch. I don't think they can bowl South Africa who bat deep in the second innings

On the contrary, I think it's incredibly biased when you are not even watching the match live and then are trying to pooh pooh valid criticism of poor captaincy in this match.

You cannot give certificates of biasedness when you are so biased yourself.

I am top 5 most unbiased posters of all time. I take zero sides and provide valid criticism left and right.
 
What is the game plan here? Allow easy singles to both players so that they can build a humongous lead
