Pakistan has to take early wickets to make their case strong....
The more SL bat, more tye chances of draw and win for SL

poor performance

we should be rolling over SL

lol commentators already at it with the usual rubbish about "be proactive" and "aggression"

We will loose this match. Apart from Yasir we don't have any test level bowler. Abbas has potential but too slow. Both Amir and Hasan are not test material.

It’s going to be a 2 and a half hour long first session.

Single off the last ball of the over SL 248-4 after 96 overs.

The moment we selected 3 seamers, it was advantage Sri Lanka. Hopefully Micky and Sarfraz learn from this mistake.

I think the greenish tinge of the pitch baffled them. Honestly it was the greenest pitch ever seen in UAE

Just relying on Yasir is not going to help, pacers need to pull their weight here.

The cricket in the UAE is the ultimate snooze fest.

No crowd, dead pitches and attritional cricket of the highest order

Our faster men looking completely innocuous right now. Dropping Shadab for a series against a minnow like Sri Lanka at Home was such a big mistake. This would've given him so much confidence.

Hasan ALI was beginning to get a bit reverse at the end of the last over.

Please take us back to England. I miss that series. I don't wanna go back to UAE, waaaaaa

This Dickwella guy is taking the match away from us. If we don't get them all out by Lunch, chances of Pakistan winning will be small.

Hasan Ali is reversing the cherry really good. Capitalize and get Dilruwana here!

Lanka have a really long tail. Another wicket here and should be a matter of time before we get them all.

Bowlers look exhausted already. The UAE weather is not good for cricket man.

I honestly cannot wait for cricket to return to Pakistan. We could at the very least schedule cricket matches in cooler and colder areas in heat like this so our men on the field don't have to suffer the way they do. I'm sure Abbottabad, Mirpur and stadiums in the North would offer a cooler environment. This heat is just unbearable.

Rubbish trundling from Amir.. hardly 130kph

Junaid, Hasan, Wahab this should be the fast bowling attack in the UAE

There's no conclusive evidence to suggest that he knocked that, rubbish decision.

From oct-March most areas in Pakistan are quite cold. And the crowd could be much much better. Cricket in UAE is quite dull to watch even for viewers. Only t20s can be successful in UAE. Pakistan should look for another venue if they can't play in pakistan.

Exactly. Which is why Sethi and Co. are moving mountains to bring cricket back to Pakistan.

And even in June, July and Aug there are plenty of places in Pakistan that you would need a sweater and a jumper. And the best part is, with growing tourism and a growing economy, there's 5 Star hotels and plenty of recreational opportunities all over the country now.

I can actually see cricket returning to Pakistan and there being some great Test matches. I wouldn't mind making the 3 hour drive to Abbottabad in the summer to watch a game of Test cricket.

Which channel is showing this in Europe/UK?

This match will test even the most diehard purist's patience.

Dubai and Sharjah are infinitely better grounds than Abu Dhabi which must rank as the worst Test venue in the world.

Dead pitches that don't allow for fluid strokeplay and dead crowds makes for soul sappingly dull Test cricket.

our econmoy and tourism are growing??

our econmoy and tourism are growing??

Internal tourism has grown by 73% over the last two years and so has foreign tourism. The International Ski competition in Swat this year was a mere example.

As for Economy, the statistics are for everyone to see. Especially since the CPEC has initiated.

also roads are getting better so more places are accessible. Agree with everyone here. I love my test cricket but this is slow going even for me..

The bowlers will be thankful the next Test series is in May, they'll need all the recovery time after bowling on this highway :))

Atmosphere improving as some fans start to make some noise, it is a Friday so the crowd should be better today.

Shame about the on-field action.

Dilruwan perera is making even pak passion purists to sleep.

It looks like sl decided that draw is their only option and boring opposition out with their tuk tuk

East or West - Test cricket is the best. Great advertisement for the purest format of the game, I must say.

Yasir bowling filth, ideally Amir would come on but he himself is trundling at 129-132 km/h.

SAF-BD Test started exactly 2 hours later of this one. So, in last 222 overs of Test cricket world has seen 3 wickets, 2 of them run outs.....

Sri Lankan intention is very clear. Bat once score 550+ and put us follow on. We will not cope with their spinners lead by Herath.

Both bowling sides struggling because of the mistakes of their own management. It was an extremely cowardly decision on part of BD to bowl first on a flat pitch and Pakistan made an extremely foolish decision by playing only one spinner when this was clearly a pitch for 3.

Apparently Abu Dhabi was place where Misbah made that fastest hundred.

Why in the world Pakistan is resorting to negative bowling with yasir bowling leg side lines

It depends on intension - if the intension is to pass time, I think Hasan & Abbas can kick around for a session in Abu Dhabi.

Obviously PCB knows it, as I wrote on the series prediction - when they chopped one Test, it had to be Sharjah & had it been 1 Test series, I am sure Dubai would have got the chopping. You have to be the sharpest tool around to host a Test at Sheikh Zaid in September....

this match could still produce a result as we know the fourth and fifth days have been known to be better than the first three. Our batting is very very vulnerable.
