You've said the same thing thrice already. Stop spreading false info, Ajmal is on sidelines and doesn't look injured at all. Will probably be on in a couple of minutes.

It's not about run rate. Plenty of time for Sri Lanka to up the run rate. It's about wickets for us. We don't get 10 wickets, we are not winning. It's Sri Lanka's game to not win. They should win easily.

did you watch the 2nd odi vs Sri lanka? even in the first innings of the first test vs sl, he did bring the ball back in.
 
Rambo finally acknowledging that this test specialist thing ie azhar Ali, Shafiq is just not working for Pak. If you are not spoilt for choice then you need to get your best batsmen in all formats of the game. He gave maqsood and umar Akmals name.
 
Rambo as long Misbah is around things in Pak cricket will not change

no akram was a coach even before that. But yeah Junaid has failed to do it since then. Very disappointing.

He is making a case for akmal and maqsood. The issue is not getting them in, even if you get them in, it won't make any difference as long as Misbah is around.

Maqsood has done fine with Misbah around in ODIs..
 
if sl win , its the toss who has won them this match.

Watching silvas technique really makes me feel ashamed of our openers.
 
silva playing it so late. Junaid should bowl a fast yorker to counter this .
 
Also, Umar has no one but himself to blame for his career. Misbah has backed him for than most others would have and if it weren't for him Sarfraz would have been keeping for Pakistan in ODI's by now.
 
silva is playing the ball sooooo late . Our openers should learn from this.
 
How many more matches/series will we lose due to mediocre batsmen who keep on getting selected before selectors open their eyes and Misbah forces the issue ?

he isn't a natural opened to begin with!!

maybe time for our selectors to do the same, since we dont have any test quality opener anyway, maybe try out some of the 48/50+ domestic avg middle order bats in opening positions. Fawad has already done in, that too vs SL, I would even say, make Umar Akmal open. A partnership of Fawad and Umar, or even Fawad and Sohaib can't do worse than whoever lese we've tried in the last several years. and if those guys can hang around after first hour, they could score big.

Misbah hasn't backed jack. Everyone used to hate sarfaraz over here, I've good knock and now all of a sudden umar is keeping sarfaraz out of the team?

Akmal is a victim of the scapegoating culture, inconsistent selection policies, nepotism. The fact he had been dropped from the test team while the likes of Ali, Shafiq have been given a free ride for 3 years, the fact that akmal was dropped for the CT trophy squad when so many players with worse averages were picked tells me all.

Moin Khan wanted Sarfeaz in for Umar, Misbah stood up for Umar and backed him despite his poor performances.
 
2 wickets before lunch needed. then 2 right after.

minimum 1 wicket going into lunch.

He was doing ok, but still making mistakes, his form with the bat was quite poor as well.

This is all coming from a massive Umar Akmal fan.

He has come in bad situations thanks to the top order, I would like him to come up the order for a change.

I do too but he hasn't really warranted a promotion with his performances down the order.
 
Sarfraz used to be so much quieter before his batting clicked, now almost sounding like an Akmal!

And the likes of Shafiq, Amin have? It is much harder to perform when you have 150 runs to get and are the last recognized batsman left. The present team management does not know how to manage its best players

You obviously don't know me, I'm not a fan of Shafiq or Amin at all.
