Gul just hasn't looked good enough since his comeback, I think we need Junaid for sure. Not sure whether fawad gives us a proper 6th bowling choice, but he definitely deserves a No.3/4 batting slot.

I think the OP's lineup is probable, but I wouldn't mind dropping a pacer in favour of another batsman (probably Gul for sharjeel), or bringing back rehman to redeem himself.

How to keep Fawad Alam in team? drop 1 bowler? or drop Sharjeel?

Fawad proved once again he should be part of the team and he is the one who can construct innings for Pakistan when needed so now the problem is how to fit him in 11. Today he played because Shajreel was unfit so how to fit him in 11 in next matches? Should we drop Sharjeel or go 1 bowler short like many teams do in ODI?

However all our pacers have been getting smashed at times this tourney, having a backup for one of them is ideal. Bhatti was an important contributor not too long ago.

What if one of the batsmen have a bad day? We're already one batsman short. What if SRL take out 2 of our front line bats early? An extra batsman would come in handy. Somehow, this is lost on the Pakistani think tank.

ODIs are a batsman's game, successful sides pack their teams with as many batsmen as possible. Our bowling isn't weak, our batting is, hence needs strengthening.

Talha will make way for Junaid Khan..
Rehman will get dropped for one of Bhatti / Anwar Ali

And 3rd one is a probability:
Maqsood will probably have to make way for Sharjeel Khan

And it may not be the bad idea, as Maqsood seems to be a bit out of form these days... Considering his current form, Anwar Ali / Bilawal Bhatti can bat similarly to Maqsood with advantage of another pacer in lineup..

Sharjeel seems incapable of playing a long innings whilst Maqsood showed in the last game vs India that he can build a partnership in the middle which is what we desperately need. He has also shown that he can also hit the big shots when required. I would stick with Maqsood over Sharjeel any day. Having said that, i hope they keep Sharjeel close to the team as he has great potential. Just needs to learn how to play a longer innings.
