Sure, lack of partnerships was a problem. And how did that happen? We lost many wickets in desperate and ugly slogs - brought about by the pressure that was created because we showed no urgency in rotating the strike and keeping the scoreboard ticking.

On a broader level though, Sri Lanka deserved to win. On current form, IND vs. SL is potentially a more exciting final and hence a fitting one. May the best team win!

That was the most pathetic excuse for a run chase that I have EVER seen from a Pakistan team. Absolutely disgraceful....angered me to the core. These are a group of people who have the best job in the world, the best job that you could ever dream of having, they are representing their country in a (pretty much) do or die run chase and they don't even try to win the game.

I mean, seriously, did we ever actually have any intention of winning that game? The way we batted you would have thought we were chasing 180 not 303. Absolutely ridiculous. Did they miscalculate? Did someone tell them we would have 60 overs? Did some idiot think that Sri Lanka only scored 203 not 303? I mean....what actually happened there? I am at a complete loss personally.

Basically, it was poor tactics batting second. Sure, you can consolidate but at least pick the bowlers you are going to target to keep up with the required run rate. I think we could have gone after Kulasekera, the new bowler, and Jayasuria, and watchfully play Mendis and Murali. Instead, we watchfully played out all the bowlers. I kept expecting some sort of attack, some sort of change of gears, some display of intent, but it never ever came until Afridi came out to bat.

We look like a different team on some days, and a mediocre, uninspired bunch others. What is going on!?

Basically he was trying to dictate to the reporters as to what to ask and what not to and that didn't go down too well with the reporters so apparently even the reporters just walked out of the room too! )

He made a few points at the start of the press conference. He wanted the journalists to ask questions and not make statements and he said don't ask the same question twice. Two perfectly reasonable demands but you know what Pakistani journalists are like.
