Whether the decision to take out afridi is right or not will be debatable but what i fail to understand is why the chief selector would say that afridi deserves to be in the 15 member squad, names him captain for tour game, afridi performs and yet gets dropped? Why would you raised the hope of a player (in respective of if people like him or hate him) and than just drop him? Pakistan cricket continues to become a joke. If they did not want afridi why do all this drama?

Precisely what I'm thinking. If a blistering 49 off 29 wasn't good enough for Afridi, yet a guy like Faisal Iqbal can get in the final squad doing seemingly very little, then yes it is nothing but a joke.

Can we have the scorecard please????
Can we have some patience. Getting sick and tired of reading your posts that keep asking for score updates.

When they are available I'm sure people will post them. In the meantime cut out the silly posts asking for updates again and again.

Sorry about it Saj.

Patron's X won the march

KARACHI: Kumar Sangakkara hit a fighting hundred but could not prevent Sri Lanka from losing the two-day tour match by 112 runs against Patron's XI here on Wednesday.

The attractive left-handed batsman scored 100 off 176 balls before retiring hurt as the tourists managed 283-5 in their allotted 90 overs, losing the match on the first-innings basis at the Defense Stadium.

The Patron's XI scored 395-4 in their stipulated 90 overs with centuries from Ahmed Shahzad and Azhar Ali on Tuesday.

Sangakkara hit 10 boundaries and was associated in an innings-building 112-run third wicket stand with skipper Mahela Jayawardene who made 49.

Sri Lanka had lost openers Malinda Warnapura (nought) and Tharanga Paranavitana (five) with the total on 26.

Jayawardene hit four boundaries and two sixes before he fell to leg-spinner Yasir Shah. Thilan Samaraweera chipped in with 46.

The tourists start the first of two Tests here on Saturday. The second Test will be played in Lahore from March 1.

Abbreviated Scores: Patron's XI 394-5 in 90 overs (Ahmed Shahzad 146, Azhar Ali 100, Shahid Afridi 49; Chaminda Vaas 1-27) Sri Lanka 283-5 in 90 overs (Kumar Sangakkara 100 retired hurt, Mahela Jayawardene 49).

Sri Lankas middle order is its strength and they all got runs and time in middle.

Except for Dilshan and for that we can thank Khalil who surely deserved a place in the final 15 for his efforts?

Apart from Sangakarra i dont rate the rest of Sri Lankas batting line up. Jayawardena, Samaraweera etc.. are just glorfied FTBs but the Flat wickets in Pakistan will be very welcoming to them.
