In a message on Twitter, the prime minister's aide on political communication, Shahbaz Gill, made the announcement.

Imran called family members of killed Hazaras ‘blackmailers’ after they told him to meet them and Imran said that nobody on this planet could blackmail him.

Q League said either make our leader CM Punjab or we will vote against you and PM accepted their demand gleefully. What happened now? Imran’s biggest opposition are his past statements.

This shows that Imran is power hungry like others. Very poor coming from a man who claims that he is unlike other politicians.

Better to know the context before posting.

Imran had said he would never allowed to be blackmailed, because elahi was a corrupt politicians whose charges and cases went away when the army made him an offer to leave pmln make a seperate party and asisst the army in setting up the govt.

The guy is known as coalition partner. Smallest party in our politics, yet it can easily take over cm seat every now and than by blackmailing their support.

Imran took a u turn on buzdar which he said he would never do. Infact claimed him to be his waseem akram.


Anyways, k can see you have already started defending pervaiz elahi as a good man :)))

He is a failed politician, corrupt but is backed by the army.

He has served under ganja, mush, PPP and PTI. If someone is willing to serve so many different parties its clear he has no ideology of his own.

I think he should have offer that position to Tareen group who is controlling 20 plus MNA's.

To succeed in Pak politics you have to be supported by the corrupt political establishment and napak fauj.

Imran was losing support so brought this lota into the fold to shore things up for himself.

It is sad for Imran, but even sadder for Pakistan that this is the state of politics. His hand was forced.

It will take a long long time to clean Pakistan up.

Imran has portrayed himself as being apart from the rest of the politicians, he continues to put himself on a pedestal and drive home the narrative that he is different from politicians of yesteryear. This is the reason why Imran faces more scrutiny.

I do not think this gonna work. Just think how would tareen group now feel who has more right to this position than anybody else. Tareen group is part of government. They will not like that decision.
 
QL is playing really smart here. Tariq bashir their MNA resigned. He will voted with opposition.
So basically half of the QL is with Ik and Half with opposition.

Well this is Pakistani Politics which demands that you cannot be blindly rigid when the other players in the game are making compromises left, right and centre for short term and long term gains. Personally a lot of people in the PTI are happy to see the back of Buzdar.

Sorry but this is manipulation of the simple facts. With support of PTI, PE is already Speaker of Punjab Assembly. This can't be manipulated as if PTI joined hand with opposition.

I am,I don't like it. PE should not be our CM. Its a horrible decision by Kaptaan and far and away his biggest mistake and Mishap in politics. Really disappointed.
Why did AZ offer him the CM job, are you guys happy. If you didn't offer him the CM job, nor would have the Kaptaan made this error of judgement.

The embattled prime minister, Imran Khan has succeeded in wooing his estranged ally PML-Q to support him on the matter of no-confidence motion tabled against him by the joint opposition in the National Assembly on Monday.

Prime Minister Imran’s special assistant on political communication Shahbaz Gill said that the PML-Q leadership has assured its support to the premier on the no-trust move.

The PTI will support Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as the candidate for the post of Punjab chief minister, he announced on his official Twitter handle on Monday.

PML-Q's leader Chaudhry Moonis Elahi has also confirmed that the post has been accepted by Elahi.

Elahi along with a dozen senior party leaders met with the prime minister at his residence in Bani Gala – after the Nation Assembly accepted a no-trust motion against the Prime Minister Imran Khan – for the final round of talks choosing a side.

After tough negotiations, the premier has accepted their demand to sacrifice Buzdar in favour of PML-Q’s Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi. The PML-Q leadership has expressed confidence in Prime Minister Imran and assured their support in the National Assembly on no-trust motion.

Political pundits believe that Prime Minister Imran has turned tables on the opposition after accepting the demand of removal of Buzdar. Now, most likely the disgruntled group of the ruling party will support the prime minister on a no-trust motion against him. However, the situation will clear in a couple of days before the upcoming National Assembly session.

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib also confirmed the development, saying, “All issues were settled after Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi met with Prime Minister Imran Khan” at his Bani Gala resident in Islamabad.

He said during the meeting, the PML-Q leadership expressed full confidence in PM Imran and announced its support to him on no-trust voting in the lower house.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar, he said, has submitted his resignation to the prime minister. Prime Minister Imran has decided in principle to nominate Chaudhry Pervez Elahi as Punjab CM, he added.

Earlier in the day, the much-anticipated session of the lower house of parliament to deliberate on the no-confidence motion was adjourned till March 31 after opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif tabled the motion followed by the counting procedure to determine the number of lawmakers in favour.

More than 155 lawmakers were in favour of tabling the motion against the premier.

The opposition, which has 162 members, filed the con-confidence motion on March 8. The motion, moved by 152 opposition members, said that Prime Minister Imran had lost the confidence of the house. The ruling coalition currently has the support of 179 members of the National Assembly.

PTI Senator Ejaz Chaudhry also said in a tweet that all matters have been settled between PML-Q and the ruling party after Speaker Punjab Assembly Pervez Elahi met PM Imran at his residence.

“PML-Q has expressed confidence in PM Imran’s leadership. Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar submitted his resignation with the premier,” he added.

While terming the breakthrough a “first step towards success”, the senior ruling party leader confirmed that PM Imran has decided to nominate Elahi for the slot of Punjab CM.

In a video statement, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Shibli Faraz said that “opposition’s game is over”.

“They [opposition] don’t even know what has hit them… we told them earlier that they were heading towards ‘political’ blind alley,” said the minister while expressing hope that their attempt to de-seat PM Imran through no-trust move will be defeated.

Meanwhile, PM’s aide on religious harmony Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi hinted at early elections. “Situation is improving… final word is early elections,” he wrote in Urdu on his official Twitter handle.

PPP and Asif Zardari's main interest in the NCV motion was to ensure that PML N's position in Punjab is weakened and he was mostly concerned with Pervez Elahi becoming CM. When PML N refused to make Pervez Elahi CM, PPP and Zardari told PML N that they would back off from the NCV then. Pervez Elahi before accepting the PTI offer called and discussed with Zardari who gave him his blessing. High chances PPP and Zardari will back off the NCV and back stab PML N.

I think Parveez did a huge favor to PMNL. Now whenever election take place they do not have to offer anything to QL and that they have only 2 or 3 MNA's.
 
This has become bigger than just 'democracy'.

This has become a national security threat when there are so many who are suspected of treason, working and being paid for the interests of Nato, compiled of the biggest terrorists in history.

IK must remain in power for now and the next 5/6 years. By this time, the world will be a different place and we can then look for taking out all the corrupt people.

Firstly you have a fat bloke parading around as some sort of important cleric. When he barely knows anything about Islam, surrounded around by it seems the worlds best Halwa tasters.

Secondly you have a guy known as Mr 10% but this is based on todays economy, in the 90's it was 20% . His sons Urdu is sounds like some the Angrez baddy from in Lollywood. Billo isnt even allowed out after 10pm.

Then we have a Nawaz and Maryam, the father is sat in London, touching his heart whenever a reporter is near, while his daughter has a house full of make up testers from Boots!

It may cause a bit of unrest but its time for their crimes to be punished.


My only question to anyone is .... HOW MUCH looting is enough and how much is never enough. They robbed so much but are still hungry like hyenas not eating weeks.

Can anyone explain how much will they need to go away? We can start up a crowdfunding if it means they will wont appear again in Pakistan.

Anyone with 1 percent knowledge knows that the reason this entire mess is happening is because the army is neutral. Its why Maryam and Co have stopped bashing Bajwa.

PTI was adamant about not making Elahi a CM in Punjab hence why Imran went with Buzdar. Now it seems like Elahi and his party were openly backing Nawaz as the deal was they'd let him be CM. Imran has instead offered Elahi the same deal and PMLQ will now side with PTI. Giving PTI crucial votes in the no confidence motion. Since you have no knowledge of our politics, Elahis party is very powerful in Punjab when it comes to politics. And winning Punjab means winning PMship.

Trump card.

Pervez Elahi was going to be the CM either way. Is it not better for IK to cut a deal with him to save his govt? This way the JKT group will be satisficed also, as their main demand was to remove Buzdar. Next step is to get back MQM, and cut some more deals with members of the opposition.

The cherry on top is all the analyst who were doing Bhangra thinking IK was gone. Cant wait to see their reaction if IK stays PM.

PTI can take revenge against him next election. No seat adjustment. Lets see if he can win without that.

However for now they have no option. Its either he is CM of Punjab allied with IK, or CM of Punjab allied with opposition.

PE was given the offer to be CM of Punjab by opposition. So PTI had to match the offer, or he would say Khuda Hafiz to IK. I have heard the Tareen group is ok with PE, and that their main issue was Buzdar.

The govt would fall without this deal.

Do you want Diesel as President? Showabaaz as PM? To hear Bilawal bragging of how he got rid of the govt?

That is what would happen (and still might) without this deal. Now deals have to be made with MQM, and others.

1. Display of finality of prophethood Quran verses and hadiths on government buildings

2. Addition of finality of prophethood oath on marriage papers

3. Protection of Islam bill

4. Addition of finality of prophethood in school curriculum

Pervez Elahi is a fraud who uses religion and indoctrination to gain political mileage. A sickening individual!

If you have followed him closely, he invokes religion and Khatme-Nubuwwat very often to strike a chord with the masses.

Army doesn't care if me or you are PM as long as we don't take pangas with them. Otherwise why have they sat and let Bhutto Zardari and Nawaz loot billions of dollars. Their only deal always is don't step on our toes when it comes to their budgets and £££££ otherwise loot and pillage the treasury all you want.

The entire bakwaas right now is because they're neutral despite the devastating future we will have under Noon or PPP. Shehbaz Sharif is a known boot licker. And PMLN has used the army to come to power numerous times before. Maryam is married to a army captain.

Since 2008 army has for the most part stayed out of politics. Every think tank worth ten cents in Pakistan has said since Musharraf army is aware how much backlash they'd face if they ever tried to run the government again. Its a common saying in military circles in Pakistan that they're cursed when they interfere and cursed when they don't, like right now.

If Khan wanted power he'd been PM in 2002 when it was offered by Musharaf

Sometimes you rather fall than back down. My dad was court martialled for not backing down in the late 50s when he asked either Yahya Khan or Asghar( I am not sure which one, my brother said it was Asghar) for ID to enter a millitary base and the guy said do you not know who I am, my dad, said I am only doing my duty. Obviously the guy didn't take too kindly and had him court martialled. Principles are worth the hassle. Not happy with this.

On point #3 that video must have been before 2018, as PML Q has been in alliance with PTI since then. So IK was already allied with someone who he called a thief. The issue with making him CM was that they only have a small number of seats so its not really fair that they get the CM post. However the opposition had made PE that offer that he becomes CM, so IK had to match or see him leave.



And PE is not the only person in the past who IK has insulted who he is now allied with. He used to insult Sheikh Rasheed who is now one of his big supporters. That's just politics. Its not personal.

IK is not a young man anymore. Its too risky for him to just go in the opposition. I think he needs to cut deals to stay in power, however he should not forget what PML Q, and MQM, and the lotas did too him. Revenge should be taken in next election. No seat adjustment with PML Q and MQM. And unless the lota is absolutely needed to win a seat, he should kick them out. Especially the people on reserved seats.

Agree with you. it's all about principles. I would rather have him dissolve the assembly then offering them a position.
And all this time IK was saying Usman as a CM was doing a great job but now you replaced him with a thief.

1. ISI chief???? What issue is that?
2. The oppposition does the same, which is why I said the frustration amongst army circles that they're cursed when they take over and then cursed when they don't. This isn't the 90s, with social media and leaks its impossible for them to take over. PPP during their 5 yr tenure openly butted heads with army, so did Noon league but there was no take over
3. It's needed to get him on his side otherwise he will lose the no confidence motion. Noone, even people in his own party, liked Buzdar. Also not sure why you're commenting about this, Elahi's party is already PTI's allies in the Punjab assembly. So its not like he went and convinced an opposition party.

Indians are obsessed about this idea of our army controlling our politics. Their influence happens now and then but again they don't care as long as noone threatens their budgets. ISI is beyond any civilian's power that its a laughable issue even mentioning this.

He can say whatever he wants, there is no way any civilian will be able to pick an ISI chief, its for public consumption.

ISI, by theory, should legally be under civilians. PPP tried to in 2008 but then had to change their decision under 24 hours. Its simply not possible in Pakistan, which is good, otherwise our country would have stopped existing decades ago.

Exactly what few other pundits are saying: ‘unki apni zubaan mein jawab diya hai’.

Some of the news channels portrayed PE as a hero yesterday and now same channels are finding faults in him.

As I said I am not OK with this decision but the opposition have made the same offer, so why are you being a hypocrite. Don't ever forget that you support murderers and thugs.
 
PDM is now well and truly floored. They played their cards too early. This is a massive development on two fronts - PE will bring others to support him in Punjab and the undecided will turn their sails to benefit from the 180 degree change in the direction of the political winds. PTI defectors will also comeback with tails between their legs.

What a change in the situation so late in the match. PDM have no time now to react. IK is more of a politician than we all thought he was.
 
IK has taken the right decision which he should have done earlier. Pervaiz Elahi is still a better choice than some total thug from loot brigade ruling over us in Punjab. This country cannot afford crooks to be in power at any cost. This compromise from IK was much needed. Hopefully now he will be able to retain power.

Btw, I am really disappointed from Bajwa. I cannot believe he was willing to allow crooks and foreign agents to rule over us again. He should have sided with IK.

Agree, for the longer term of the country it's imperative imran stays in power and hopefully gets that magic Majority in the next Elections, only then you will see the real potential of PTI and imran and hopefully fulfil the real potential of Pakistan.
 
Pervez Elahi was very close to accepting Nawaz Sharif and Zardari's offer. He even discussed PTI's offer with Zardari before accepting it. What is the guarantee he will not work against PTI's interest? What if this is a trap by the opposition and on the day of the vote, PML N will vote against PTI in exchange for PPP and PML N keeping Pervez Elahi on as CM? Zardari is a very Shaatir individual.

Zaradari ki wajah se gardari kare ga toh that means end of PML Q in next elections
 
So IK spends most of his 'historic' speech about how NRO was the biggest blunder in Pakistans history and the next day appoints the architect of the NRO as CM, the same person he once called punjabs biggest daku, This must be a joke.
