Is there a shred of doubt after this match winning knock? Knocked the lights out of his detractors, Rizwan.

Yes, Rizwan is now the best batsmen in the world as he played a match winning innings against Canada.

His contributions now put him > Travis, Warner, butler, quinton etc etc
 
Rizwan can score runs but it the strike rate that is shocking. Yes, the pitch was not your typical batting paradise for T20s but still look at aaron johnson. he scored on same pitch as well and at a better strike rate.

Rizwan can score runs, no doiiubt about it but his only problem is scoring with slow pace.

Tbf, rizwan actually played a pretty good innings yesterday.

But that's the problem. He's consistently been a bottler when it comes to actual pressure games such as the final of asia cup or psl.

This Canada game is a dil kush rakhnei wala match, Pakistan was out as soon as they lost to India. These mental calculations are as bad as the mental calculations of Pakistan chasing 336 in 7 overs against England.

Yesterdays innings was the most selfish innings in the history of T20s and of course it was Mohammad Rizwan who delivered it for us. This man has destroyed so many careers, ruined our dominance in T20Is under Saifi and has given saya all the power over our board. He is the worst thing to happen to Pakistan cricket ever

And the sheer audacity of that 50 celebration says it all.

Initially I thought look at least he knows its a poor effort and won’t celebrate. And it looked for a second that he wouldn’t. Then lo and behold goes to all the effort to put his bat down and do that idiotic celebration. So cringe

Rana already knows that I don't mind rizwan in tests. I've spoken vocally about it before since sarfi is now aged, however I've spoken vocally about rizzu batting at 7 and not 6.

I wouldn't mind Rizwan in odi and t20 either if he actually played for his team and wasn't treated like he's some sort of darling or gilchrist level batsmen.

In test rizwan bats at the right position although I'd prefer if he slotted to no 7 and Agha at 6, nut whatever no 6 is fine.

My issue is in odi he does not warrant a no 4 or no 5 slot over saud and Agha who are superior Middle order batters. But he stubbornly persists and does medicore nonsense their. He shpuld bat at no 7 for pakistan like sarfraz did and play as a specialist keeper.

Similarly in t20 he doesn't warrant opening over fakhar zaman, Even babar does not warrant opening over fakhar.

That's my issue qith rizwan. Just like sarfi was a specialist keeper who could bat a bit and play occasional gems, Rizwan is also just a specialist keeper who can bat a bit and occasionally pull off gems but otherwise is medicore.

The difference between the 2 is that sarfi recognises this and as a leader and captain and as a human being he is 100x smarter then rizwan is. Whereas rizwan and everyone else believes he's some sort of Adam gilchrist and oxygen for the team
 
Rizwan has earned his spot in the test. TBH, we have no wicket keeper batter replacement for rizwan atm. All the choices are worst and Rizwan is doing fine in red ball atm.
 
10th Test 50 for Mohammad Rizwan today. What a shot to get it though. Fabulous inning.

Did ge win any?.cause I remember his 88 in aus that led to a butchering.

I already told you, rizzu and babar start winning games against top sides, them the criticism will stop.

Bobby's 197, nz 100 and 2021 India game along with rizzu's 2021 India game and 2023 sri lanka game cannot be their only portfolio in an 8 year career for Babar and 9 year career for Rizwam.

Theirs a reason people like Misbah don't get brought up ahead of Inzi even if Misbah was more consistent
 
The truth is you cannot replace rizwan with any other player in the domestics. There is nobody good enough to take his place at the moment, especially in test cricket and Odis as well. Right now, he is doing better than all other batters in longer formats.

Test matches are won by support from all the players including bowlers . so its not Rizwan fault that Pakistan pace attack were toothless or other batsman were not up to the Mark's .

Virat scored 4 test century in australia in 2015/16 series yet india lost the series 2-0 Because We did not have a world class bowling attack to win the matches ,now we have a world class bowling so we are competitive or winning the series away from home also .

Kohli legacy is already seal even though india did not win series against Australia in 2015-16 by scoring 4 test century.

If rizwan is continuously scoring runs so doesn't matter Pakistan win or lost but he will remember as best ever Pakistan wicketkeeper batsman . period

Brother, when you bring kohli as a comparison metric to justify rizwan you'll get such responses.

Kohli's legacy was not sealed due to those 4 test centuries, He had already sealed himself as an ATG for India long before that lol.

I have called him drama queen, and I still do it. But apart from that he is the only fighter this Pakistani team have. Reminds me a bit of Younis Khan. His haters must have som bad days. Pity the rest of the squad is so rubbish that his contributions will go in vain.

Couldn’t have said it better myself

Any runs that Rizwan does score will never be the most impactful of the game. He is a serial match loser and I can honestly say that if you throw him into a team like Australia or India, he will send them down to their own rock bottoms

On top of it ,he was hoicking every shot to legside.i was thinking what he will do to kuldeep ,warne or any good leg spinner on a turning track.it shows lack of brain and willingness to learn and adapt. If that guy is the go to guy ,all the best for pak fans

He is a top WK bat. He looked good in Australia. His WK is weakened by standing too far back. He should not be consistently taking the ball below his knees because some won't carry.

Misbah and Waqar manipulated this selection process to suit themselves

I’m pretty sure Misbah’s team will be in the top 2 at least. They know how to fool people at a domestic level. You will get guys coming around telling how Misbah is the best brain in Pakistan. They will earn the long rope and then the same rubbish will continue at international level.
