Last over of the Powerplay:

Shikhar Dhawan is taking charge against LSG bowlers with sheer ferocity.

Impressive Pace Mayank Yadav, average b/w 147-150 km/hr in his opening over.

Mayank Yadav is just too quick...another express pacer upcoming from India

:akhtar

Another wicket for Mayank Yadav...just too quick. Wow.

Take him in T20 WC team already

Dhawan playing match losing knock.. he's tired, need to get out..
Its a nostalgic sight. He used to this for India some years ago in t20is.

Blaze away in powerplay and crawl in middle overs against lack of pace.

LSG emerges triumphant today, got the better of PBKS 21 by runs.

Rahul Dravid be like, "Can Mayank bowl knuckle ball? Or line n length? No?? Mukesh beta, aaja !! "
Modern batsmen and bowlers are not Dravid's favorites. He prefers traditional slow bowlers who can land a ball at one place all 6 balls at 120k's.

Hopefully Mayank Yadav is better than Umran Malik.

Mohsin Khan is done. Had high hopes from him. Injuries and fitness has ruined his career. He will be just an IPL player for a few years.

He still bowls 135 to 140. He is left armer. Can bowl swing in and out. Can bowl slow balls.

He isn't a tearaway anymore but he isn't finished.

LSG vs PBKS IPL Highlights 2024, Lucknow Super Giants vs Punjab Kings: Mayank Yadav claimed three crucial wickets as Lucknow Super Giants beat Punjab Kings.

Lucknow Super Giants (199/8) beat Punjab Kings: Debutant Mayank Yadav ran riot with his rapid pace to help Lucknow Super Giants outclass Punjab Kings by 21 runs in Lucknow. Mayank consistently clocked 150kph to trouble the Punjab Kings batters while defending the 200-run target. He claimed three wickets and also bowled the fastest delivery of the season thus far - 155.8 kph to make a massive statement on debut. For Punjab, skipper Shikhar Dhawan fought hard with his 70-run knock but it wasn't enough for his side.

Riding on impressive knocks from Quinton de Kock (54), Krunal Pandya (43*) and Nicholas Pooran (42) powered Lucknow Super Giants to 199/8 in 20 overs. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals but there was a batter at one end who kept going and helped Lucknow post a formidable total at their home ground. LSG lost early wickets in the powerplay as KL Rahul (15) and Devdutt Padikkal (9) failed to convert their starts into big scores in the powerplay.

Mayank Yadav won Lucknow the game single handedly. Have been watching the IPL in detail for the first time since 2008 and i am noticing batters at the death struggle really badly with the changes of pace, slower deliveries.

You need someone like Klassen, Russell. You cannot go in with weak lower order batting. All such teams struggle. At internatinal level India struggles because of that.

Even russel and klassen will struggle against good pace/spin Russel can't play bouncers and Klassen was not able to hit bumrah well .U must be an Atg to handle anyone at the death with ease as the death overs game keep evolving.

In the end overs you should atleast be able to target some bowlers. I am sure there will be some loose overs on the offer.

It depends on situation and left over bowlers rt.yesterday pooran brought mayank for jitesh instead of a spinner for Liam.death overs bowler and batting will be a game of chess.

Problem is lack of such players for some teams. Teams that bat deep is always likely to finish stronger. Teams like PKXI is highly predictable. Take out some fire power from the line up they ain't finishing strong 100 out of 100 times.

Definitely falt roads so far. Even 277 was looking like a nothing score when MI started. The pitches look like cemented wickets. Good for the crowd coming in to watch lots of sixes coming there way but I pity the bowlers who had to face the wrath of these flat roads.

Exciting cricket though. high-scoring games. But want to see a game where a team scores 120-30 runs and able to make it a last ball thriller.
