It looks like PTI will also be in government in Balochistan with BAP and BNP.

PTI - 4
BAP - 14
BNP - 6
IND - 5

Total = 29

What are the chances of independents joining PTI instead of BAP? And also, is there a chance that BAP and BNP don't agree on a CM choice from either of their parties and end up nominating someone from PTI?

MMA is a no go. PTI will easily reach 137+ when all partners are added.

I am expecting:

PTI - 118
IND - 13
MQM-P - 6
BNP - 4
PML-Q - 4
GDA - 2
AML - 1
BAP - 1
TOTAL - 149

Even if none of the independents join PTI, the coalition has enough setas, We can even do it without MQM if we wanted, or we could dtop all of BNP, PML-Q, GDA, AML, BAP, and still have a majority.

Will IK cast 4 votes? Similarly GSK and Tahir Sadiq? Akther Mengal of BNP has also won 2 seats i believe.

No, but total seats will also go down, so the number needed for a majority will also reduce.

If 6 seats are being reduced from the NA + 2 are postponed, 133 are needed for a majority rather than 137. I think there must be people in opposing parties who won more than 1 seat too?

15 provincial independents from Punjab will join PTI.

Shobaz to be opposition leader and Hamza to be CM candidate this shows PMLN knows they are not getting Punjab

PTI won most of these seats. Can't remember any other notable member who won on multiple constituencies. More the better. If we go by recent past MQM had voted for N league for the sake of goodwill, may be PTI can also get that :P Hence, the more the better ! Will give a good impression to biased international media coverage of rigging.

These are the only constituency whose results have not yet been uploaded on ecp's rms. What is their breakdown?

With these results still pending PTI has 115. Will PTI get 2 from these 7 constituencies or 3?

3 PML-N MPAs ready to leave PML-N and support PTI in Punjab government.

Not sure if this is allowed, didn't the 18th amendment do something against this? Mian

Yes, they can't formally join government unless they resign and get reelected on PTI ticket.

BUT they can vote CM candidate in assembly session

PPP are quite pleased at results except a minor setback in Lyari. They have cleaned bowled GDA. Will form Sindh government easily and look for resurgence in 2023. Even during their campaign they were saying that that they preparing for the long term.

No one is really questioning elections besides MQM. After election night drama PML N have also realised that there are no real evidences of rigging.

PPP have performed well beyond expectations, bagging 45 seats!

I meant MMA here.

Don't know where to see. But i believe PTI is winning 2 from those 7 seats? NA32 and NA126? that will take the tally to 117?

I added party names beside each seat number -

NA32 - PTI

NA37 - MMA

NA125 - PML-N

NA126 - PTI

NA58 - PPP

NA59 - PTI

NA270 - BNP

PTI winning on 3 of them.

BAP have comeback on NA-260 and have snatched the seat from Rind.

PTI - 117
BAP - 2

PTI also bagged 2 in Balochistan and BAP also 2.

I missed 2 before 258 and 259 in a previous post. So the results not uploaded to ecp rms are

NA 32, NA 37, NA 125, 126, 258,259,270.

guys tell me one thing.

If PTI doesn't go with coalition with PPP, wont this affect the Senate then? Because PPP is second in the senate. ANy reforms that need to be passed it will have to be passed through senate

Going with PPP would seriously hurt PTI in the long term, it would be political suicide. If they can't pass some reforms now, they can still do so after the 2021 senate election.

Apparently, PTI and MQM-P have agreed to form government together, and they will formalize the deal in a meeting soon.

2 NA seats postponed. Majority needed is 136.

PTI has 117

PML 4

GDA 2

AML 1,

124 seats without any major coalition but PTI's election allies.

Other possible allies

BAP 2/3

BNP 3

Independent 12/13

Imran Ismail, Naqvi and Khurram sherzana names for Sindh opposition leader. My vote for Khurram other 2 are useless

Deal has been made with MQM, so push that up to 130 confirmed seats.

Habib Akram saying PTI is looking for a dark horse old PTI clean name for CM candidate. Interesting times ahead!

Breaking news-

15 independents in Punjab have joined PTI! PTI now in the lead with 138 PP seats! Just 11 more needed to form Punjab government, 7 can come from PML-Q.

Aleem Khan is way too controversial.

Tahir Sadiq is way too unreliable.

SMQ lost his seat.

We need a loyal , clean and a sensible individual for CM Punjab post.

NA-270 :O

That is totally unexpected. This is an area of Balochistan where the insurgency is relatively stronger I think? Near the Iran border.

wow Habib Akram saying Dr Yasmeen Rashid is being considered for CMship of Punjab by IK himself and he thinks she is the face of change.

Breath of fresh air IMO, I back this decision. Is it possible with her being on a reserve seat though? Thorougly deserved!

An analyst saying you can become CM on reserve seat and law doesn't stop you from doing that

Yes! For the first time ever. Credit where it's due, good step by PPP. From what I know, they were put up in an area of Sindh with a decent Hindu population too?

Congrats to all you pakistanis. Thats a very good sign of progress as a democracy.

PPP should be thankful they got more seats then expected lol street politics doesn't suit PMLN and PPP they got no muscle.

Update:

RMS updates

258 goes to BAP

126 to PTI and 125 to N as expected.

Only 4 awaited now.

NA 32, 37, 259, 270

My knowledge of constitution isn't that good but i think you can bypass senate for minor legislations.

Any guy with deep constitution knowledge? Is it possible to have joint session of Senate and NA to get a bill approve?

Wow, appointing Dr. Yasmin would be a brilliant political move.

Will give a massive boost to our nazryaati votebank too and an embarrassment to those Lahoris who rejected her and also rejected PTI in Lahore.

Dr Yaseem joins the race and she is IK's fav

Honestly, could turn out to be a masterstroke!

Dr Yasmin is a very loyal, hard working, and capable candidate. No baggage, no controvesies, absolutely nothing against her. Aleem Khan has some controversies, Fawad Ch is more suited to a communications role.

Sarfraz Bugti would have been a good choice ....

TBH I've never been impressed by him. He's a serious opportunist and hasn't done anything for the people of this province. There are better candidates in Balochistan but due to anti establishment feeling it is difficult for them to come to prominence.

It has to be Yasmin Rashid.

Fawad Ch is seriously incompetent (sorry but I've never been impressed by this clown), and we all know about Aleem's controversies.

this is one of the most important roles so IK mustn't make a poor choice.
