PSL 2018 Match 24: Lahore Qalandars beat Karachi Kings in Super Over after late drama

PSL, unfortunately, did not work for Umar Akmal as today was the last opportunity to showcase his talent and convince the franchise to keep him for next year. I wonder if someone will buy him next year.

Lahore should have batted first because like themselves, KK also choke under chasing pressure.

Despite being the butt of all jokes LQ management does deserve some respect for persisting with new and inexperienced guys like Agha Salman and Sohail Akhtar while getting rid of good for nothing Umar Akmal.

Devcic bowling tripe, wonder why they are bowling him when there are so many other options. Even Simmons has managed 3 boundaries off him.

Sohail Akhtar is way older than UA and has been rubbish, don't see how it's a good move to keep him in

This trundler should be no where near any team. One of the worst in the tournament

It's a dead rubber for LQ, Umar should have been playing today.

I dont know how Narine is allowed to bowl with this action in leagues

Why? What has to done to deserve to play? Do you get a certain percentage of his fees everytime he plays? Please go troll somewhere else.

I don't understand why everyone is complaining about Babar and his strike rate.

He's 29 from 26 in a T20 game after being dropped on 0. If it wasn't for Denly yesterday who took the pressure off him and allowed him to get in and Simmons today it could potentially be a match losing innings.

Babar trying his best to give his wicket but nobody seems to want it.

The current youngsters aren't accumulators like Hafeez, Malik, Shehzad, Shafiq, Sarfraz etc.

Yes, Sohail Akhtar isn't someone I would call an upcoming youngster. However from what I have heard LQ management recently found out about him and it's good to see that they are at least giving the guy a consistent run instead of discarding him after initial failures. At least there is some thought process going on.

Babar needs to open the innings. He's a real difference maker when the field is inside and then in the middle overs

Really really struggles in the end - they should've been targeting 200 after 85-1 in 10.. now they're going to struggle to get 170

Why would you want his wicket? Who knows what kind of Afridi might turn out today. He has done well with the ball time to make his bat talk.

He came in the third over today and usually comes for Pakistan at 1 down in the first couple of overs. Don't know how he will magically become a Gayle if he opens.

Again Babar unable to take charge. If Ingram somehow manages to hit 2 overs for around 10 Babar will very likely also go in another gear. Now that the pressure to hit is all on him he is getting flustered. Mr sidekick works from the shadows of someone doing a better job.

People who only watch scorecards will now come to defend Babar and claim how he is the best thing since sliced bread.

he plays proper cricket strokes, when the field was inside he was getting boundaries with good cricketing shots. When the field spread those same shots started going to the fielders

he clearly has the intent, his strength is timing the ball, not getting underneath it

Another selfish 50. Babar is however much smarter than his cousins in this regard though. Playing for his average rather than hitting out.

He can play his proper cricketing shots in these mickey mouse leagues with the power hitting foreigners masking his inadequacies but we have no such players in the national team to keep up the tempo so that he can continue with his tuk tuking on the other end.
