I wouldn't play Sami straight into an Aus test yet though. He's bowling amazingly well right now, but this is a seaming wicket, and Waqar first needs to get Sami's line/length right on flat wickets. Maybe coach him for 4-5 days while the first test is being played, and then bring him in into the second test or later.

He just played 2 inning on a bowling friendly wicket. i wouldn't conclude my decision just based on these 2 innings.
 
Sami doing a bit too much here...none the less he is trying to use the crease and trying different approaches...where as in the past he'd just rumble in and bowl garbage without thinking...

He has to learn to bowl on a particular slot more consistently...

Tauseef true Sami is very incnsistent but lets be fair if he bowled like today he would walk in to most teams, but you are right this may just be one of the rare days for him

Tauseef, I totally agree with you. In fact there is no comparison with name you have listed. However, he should have played more matches to get in form.
 
Oh dear, you know your completly and utterly out of touch if you get out chasing one from Sami. I am very dissapointed in Younus.

Good signs from Sami though, I may be his critic but will have no hesitation in backing him if he bowls to his potential.
 
BTW, the level of batting in Pakistan's domestic cricket is truly pathetic...idiot just left the ball on his leg stump...if anything it's a free hit...no batsman in the world even at the club level leaves a half volley on the leg stump...

I reckon if I go to Pakistan and with a few months of practice and club cricket, I can play better then these buffoons...

M.Sami looking like a worldclass bowler at the moment the bowl that got rid of Taufeeq was totally unplayable (even left handed Sachin/Ponting wouldnt have handled it) and the delivery to YK was a master piece of intelligence (Yea its to mention intelligence and M.Sami together) lets see how long before he returns to his usual crap.
 
Folks this is a good match, the pressure seems to be as good as any test match, Wish all FC matches in Pak could be played with such hard nosed focus, maybe its because they know they are on tv

HBL is playing like Pak team chasing ODI total....sad to see the standard of batting. Only Taufeeq looked like a proper batsman.
 
SAMI on fire folks, bowling with goood pace. wonder what will he be like in aussie pitches where he will get the bounce and extra pace. i think SAMI team will win this one with ease. only good batsmen left for hbl is hasan raza and younis should had left that bowl alone

That was the most atrocious shot I've seen in my life at all levels...I haven't even seen lower order sloggers playing that kinda shot at club levels...

I am shocked if this is the future of Pakistan cricket(bating wise). God help us!!! It would be better i we import few batsman from India.

Nothing in the pitch...ball is barely going higher then the waist...

Believe me I've played on turf wickets in Karachi and balls don't go higher then knee height in club cricket....

At the first class level where the bowlers are quicker and have more bounce, it barely goes higher then the waist...

Sami will be given license to bowl fast from Waqar. He just needs to control spraying the ball on leg side, otherwise, I think Sami is the right choice.

No bro, thats bit harsh. ball has been doing a lot its our technique which is pathetic. Seems like we have no idea how to play on such tacks. again if we play on such tacks once in blue moon how would we able to perform
 
The pitch has nothing to do with most of the wickets that have fallen, this just goes to show that even a team like HBL has no professionalism. No one is willing to take their time, no wonder even an average player like Khurram Manzoor is amongst the leading scorer just cuz he is willing to spend time on the wicket.

Karachi wicket never has any bounce and its such a shame that one of leading test centers has a wicket which is not suitable for quality circket. As far as I'm concerned the entire square has to be relaid in Karachi, if we can get decent bounce in Lahore why not in Karachi.

This is the Sami we all miss. Pace, fire and aggression.

Although some of the shots the batsmen have played ... shocking. How these guys made the team is beyond me. Any decent batsmen worth his salt would muster better shots then these guys... especially in the FINALS. :)))

Other than Asad Shafiq, Taufeeq Umer and Sarmad this game has featured nothing but below average talent who shouldn't be anywhere near International cricket.

Keep in mind this pitch seems to have a lot more for the bowlers than what is expected at MCG so expecting similar result even if Sami can bowl well will be foolish.

Saleem Elahi got out to a crap ball on the leg stump which any decent batsman should have put away for four or six through mid wicket...

Taufiq Umar despite his first innings century has a pretty pathetic technique and played around the ball that came in....if he had brought his bat and pad together and played forward instead of half cock, the most the ball would have done would have been to hit his pad outside the line of off stump...

Younis Khan chased a wide one outside off....

Kamran Hussain left a half volley on the leg stump...

Hasan Raza slogged like the worst tailender and found the only fielder on the leg side....

I mentioned his name cuz atleast he has some temprament but I agree he nothing more than average. I wonder what the coaches are doing, maybe there is a good reason why we have to take players straight from under 19 to international cricket.

This pitch clearly has 1000 times more support for bowlers than 600/5 wickets we produce for international matches.

most of the balls are going above waist. while usually our pitches produce ankle height bounce from first session of day1.

Btw i agree most of teh wicket were lost due to bad shots. But thats a different story.

When you have players like Manzoor, Faisal and farhat playing for your national team, it explains the dearth of batting talent.

Our pitches are to be blamed.If all of our domestic pitches resembled this one, we might produce a couple good batsmen 5 years maybe.

Even yk score some runs doesn't gona make much difference. He is a class batsman who doesn't need to prove anything in the domestic level. He will be back in the team soon.

But one thing is for sure sami won't be bowling to such weak bating lineup in AUS. He was flying for AUS anyways. Btw don't forget Yk also got 4 wickets in the match :)
