Sabih Azhar is a coach of the Rawalpindi region. There have been a lot of cricketers who have emerged from the region and few others who attribute their success to Azhar.
Umar Amin, Aamir, Nawaz, Shadab, Arafat, Tanveer, Awais Zia, Hammad Azam and Zeeshan, Umair Masood in the U19 to name a few; all attribute their rise from obscurity to Azhar.
He definitely deserves a pat on his back

Absolutely - been an excellent servant of Pakistan cricket.

not tried at the int'l level..

Brilliant post.
Sabih is a legend.
He is the mentor of Pindi cricketers and the one who backed them.
From our last u-19 world cup he is the mentor of Shadab and Zeeshan

He hasn't been rewarded properly.

Currently he doesn't have fitness but 4-5 years ago he should have been permanent assistant coach of Pakistan A.

Would give him the job as pak assistant coach with the plan to take over Arthur ahead of events management azhar

He also has played role in guiding Imad Wasim in case anyone doesn't know.

Sabih azhar hasnt done that much work for pakistan cricket.

You guys talk about his contributions? Based upon what?

Because so and so player mentioned his name in an interview to give him credit?

All the above mentioned youngsters were raw talents, who train hard by themselves, no coaches help them, and then get selected on trials and then perform in u16 and u19 and then get selected from their.

Sabih didnt train these youngsters, these youngsters trained them selves.

I have seen shadab khan do his own practise instead of joining some club.

Sabih azhar even bas his own club in rawal pindi, and not once i have ever seen him step foot there.

And dont get me started at the grounds where matches take place in pindi. This guy has enough power to fix all that but he doesnt bother with.

Plus, rawalpindi didnt even have a club competation tournament.

So tell me, what contributions does this guy have?

He has enough power to fix rawalpindi club crixket but he doesnt bother.

The above mentioned players are there because of their own hard work.

Also, bajwa cricket club deserves more credit then sabih azhar. Bajwa has a proper club system installed.

Glad the PCB is getting rid of some dinosaurs in Pakistan Cricket. Apparently some of these PCB employees had secretly lobbied with Nauman Dar on the PCB BOG to embarrass Ehsan Mani and Wasim Khan. Right decision.
