Early wickets.

Our bowlers looked a bit tired yesterday, with some more rest, I'm hoping we wrap things up today.

If Shaheen bowls well, there is definitely going to be a 10 wicket haul for him.

Yep, I think with the dare I say it explosive start from our openers they were expecting to be out much later in the day.

Tiredness certainly came into play yesterday, Pakistan bowled their socks off earlier on and rest will be the best remedy. Just wish Babar brings on spin when it comes to the tailenders, try something different and back your spinner.

I would have carried on for a few overs 350+ run lead and looked to get Nauman involved on the last day with more runs to play with. Even now he can bowl 20-25 overs and then let the seamers bowl from the other end. Pakistan need to make sure the seamers are well rested and not over bowled in this innings.

But they are still in a very good position as long as West Indies don't get off to a flyer in the morning, they have a good chance to win Keeping things tight and being patient is the key.

Ideally 2-3 wickets in the first session and not sure if it will happen but, would also like to see Nauman being deployed at some stage from one end. WI batsmen have struggled against spin more often than not in last decade and there are many right handed batsmen in WI lineup where Nauman’s arm ball can come into play. 5th day pitch and some balls staying low.

Also Nauman bowling more would give more chance to get the complete 98 scheduled overs which are yet to be bowled on any day since the rain. So Nauman can give Pak side those extra 8-10 overs which otherwise wont be bowled by the day end.

This needs to happen at most after the first 15 hours of the day. We need to have him operating from one end at least until the second new ball (if WI innings is still in progress then).

Need a big effort from Shaheen, Abbas, Hasan, Faheem and Nauman to square the series...

Exciting day of cricket ahead! all results are possible!!! hope the weather forecast is decent :mv

All 3 results possible on the last day. Exactly like the final day of the Lords test. What a day of exciting test cricket we're going to have in store today.

Test cricket has been ripping in the last few days. The two tests in the Pak-WI series and Ind-Eng series have been a great advert for test cricket, weather interruptions and poor ground management aside.

If we can't get a weak batting limeup out on a tough pitch defending a big target that will be embarassing. I'm kinda expecting us to lose for some reason.. Pakistan has been good at winning hearts lately.

WI may not last more than 2 sessions. Target is too stiff to be chased by a batting lineup like WI.

Pakistan should win it.

Need to get Brathwait early as he is the key for me. The longer he stays at the crease it would make it difficult for the bowlers. Shaheen has been bowling really well but a bit too much on the pads, get him out quickly. Holder is the danger man down the order. WI will obviously are playing for a draw so won't be taking too much risk. Need to make them play and this is where Numan can make the difference. Need 3 wkts in 1st session minnimum.

Excited for today's play.. Just don't want any surprises. We deserve to win for the kind of enterprising captaincy Babar displayed. Displayed urgency in batting, set up a sporting target after 2 days were washed out. Go Pakistan!

If we get Kraigg early then this game is in the bag. Blackwood and Chase will be the next big wickets but other than that it’s a brittle and fairly newbie batting line-up WI have.

InshAllah we will win.

Oh yes lads no issue with weather today, so we should be taking full advantage of this!!!!!!!!

To put in perspective.. just the required runs of 280 would be the highest innings total for west indies all series. Pakistan needs to boss this and finish by tea.

Braithwaite is the kind of batsman who can grind whole day so his wicket is most important.

This is a Pakistan’s match now. Only way WI can save or even win this match is to go for cautious attack. Force fielders back and put a fear of defeat in them. However, this is so unlikely.

85% Pak: 5% Draw: 10% WI

Was expecting the pitch to deteriorate on day 5 and make it difficult for batsmen but it seems relatively easy to bat on.

As i said yesterday and nobody took me seriously..i actually think West Indies can win this one.

This is not a day 5 pitch by any means. Day 2 was washed out without a single ball being bowled and with rain around and pitch under covers for long durations has meant the moisture has prevented it from crumbling

Another one for Shaheen. Needs 3 more to get 10 wickets in the match.

That was some horrible camerawork though.

Couple of more wickets now and Windies will go into defensive mode.

I think the only time they are going to try to chase this is if they have 6-7 wickets remaining by last session. Their batting lineup is pretty vulnerable to try and go after that from the word go.

WI don't need to win here by taking any risks , they are winning the series which is the bigger achievement . They will be happy to play for a draw here.

Hassan needs to stand up today, current condition of the pitch is right up his alley.

Braithwaite is the main man, the sort of Guy who can grind for 250 Balls. His wickets would do wonders for Pakistan here.

Windies cannot lose the series and even if they lose this match, 1-1 is a fair result in my opinion, although I feel Pakistan should have won the last match had they applied more pressure to Windies batsmen.

Yes they can’t lose but, their priority would be to win the series by drawing this match rather than trying to go for the chase (Until the last session if they have wickets in store).

That was plumb. Not sure why the umpire did not give out originally, perhaps he thought batsmen may have had inside edge.

Umpiring in this series have been club level. Countless reviews have been overturned. Option for neutral umpires allow for better quality as well in most series.

Our bowling attack has looked so much better since Hasan's return from injury. I would say his presence makes Abbas and Shaheen more threatening as well since batsmen aren't as willing to just see them off.

WI not likely to last more than 60 - 65 overs, they just do not have the batsman to stay there and bat through the session.

Its fine for Hassan to throw in some outswingers and then set up for an in dipper but, I think maybe he needs to rely more on his stock in dippers on this surface while throwing in outswinger as a change up rather than the other way around which he has done throughout the series.

Pakistan bowling attack would be tested against better batting sides , judging on basis against WI is a huge mistake.

Rizwan is a pretty decent reader of the game. In the last over of Shaheen he mentioned to the fielder “ab kyun neeche mar raha hai, ball ne chalna shru kar dia hai”. :smith

I feel Abbas / Hasan combo is a very good one for Pakistan. They compliment each other very well, whilst one is skiddy and nippy the other is tidy and has more bounce but both are same angles and same corridor bowlers.

They do have a long batting line up but Pak should have enough time to bowl them.out. Brathwaite wicket is crucial followed by Holder.

Absolutely. I know South Africa aren't particularly great in Asian conditions but they're decent against pace and Hasan bowled very well against them as well after his comeback. Just off the eye test too, he's a lot more consistent than Naseem Shah who he replaced

Hasan should be extracting some reverse today in the post-lunch session. He is very critical to our chances today.

Just a little patience needed, maybe get the "Chase breaker" in Faheem lol.

Pakistan should target a couple of big wicket players in this morning session and then look to finish this by afternoon session.

Abad is a street level cricketer. Pathetic fitness and pathetic awareness.

Cant get any easier in the slips. May be it came much slower than abid thought

The icing on the cake would be if the goat slip catcher also drops a couple of catches.

As i type this, he catches one?

That was a very poor drop. Abid I feed knows he is playing perhaps his last game here, there is no way he should be retained in test team going forward

As I type there is a class difference between Imran and rest in slip fielding.

This is amazing bowling from hasan.
Moving the ball both ways. All four pacers have done that throughout this game. Credit to Waqar

Imran Butt has couple of months to work on his batting technique. I'm impressed with his catching ability.

Imran presence in the team earns us wickets that would otherwise not be earned .Let us hope slowly slowly he gets better in batting.

Is Imran Butt the best catcher Pakistan has had.Great set up by Hassan Ali
