Yes it is very much possible. If you can recall my post on Malik before the World Cup last year, him getting captaincy will make my prediction regarding Malik post World Cup 100% true.

Malik scored a fluke double century and then does nothing for the rest of the series. He couldn't score on UAE pitches and you think he would score runs on English pitches. And that dancer is our highest run scorer in tests so show a bit of respect. Not many teams draw a four match test series in England so drawing this series was a big achievement.
