Shoaib credits Sania for his comeback

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik has said that his wife Sania Mirza has helped him get through the difficult phase of his life when he was awaiting clearance by the Pakistan Cricket Board’s Integrity Committee.

Malik said his mental toughness coupled with Sania’s advice helped him during those ‘dark days’.

“Ups and downs are part of life. You have to be mentally strong enough to handle all the things and situations that come in your way. Sania has helped me a lot,” a website quoted Malik as saying.

“She’s been playing international tennis for the past 12 years and her advice was invaluable. She’s a great life partner and her support has been brilliant,” he added.

Whilst the past 12 months will be difficult to forget, Malik feels that the bad times are over as he has now been cleared by the PCB to play for his country.

“I feel that I can play for another six to eight years. I just want to play good cricket and have been training hard.

“I want to show the world that I am still a good cricketer and that I have what it takes to do well at the highest level,” he said.

People don't understand that this is not "WL63 support thread"
if they really love you, they could start a thread...

back to topic, Malik needs the confidence of selectors and captain that he would not be dropped during this tour and in next tour otherwise one can't perform if one remains under threat, all the time, to be dropped.

Pie-yawn... aap tu bilkul hiiiiiii jal bhun kay sua ho gai hain! :P

...and the next one ... and the next one... and next one ... and the next one.... and the next one... why stop at only two??

He got 28/29 chances last time so make those brilliant 20s and 30s that you can't stop talking about...so why only two tour this time?

What has the prince done to deserve that and nobody else? Why can't other players get as many chances as you are begging for Malik to get???

Best part of today's win vs Zimbabwe.....
Malik did not bowl.
Malik did not bat.
Malik did not catch.
Malik did not touch the ball in the field .. OK.. may be once.

On a side note... BZ was heard singing this song on the streets of Mishish-shaga;

Seriously, w63l35 you need to take it easy with your hatred for Malik.

You bump this thread when Malik does something bad, when he does something good and when he doesn't do anything at all.

This is getting pointless and not adding anything to cricket discussion

3000 posts in this thread dating back 2 years but from day one, Malik is still the mediocre player that all-non Malik fanboys have come to known.

Infact today was his best performance, doing naff all.

Seriously you need to not tell other poster what to post and what not to post because you ain't a mod.

Have I questioned any of your thread or post?

Heck.... I did not even question your "Malik comeback watch" thread..... as if that got to do with cricket any more than my post that your are whining about like a Sachin-fan......

and if you had given a little thought before you whined for nothing.... my post was very thing to do with "Malik Come Back Watch" as it listed what he did in his 2nd ODI after his grandiose come back!

Ok good job :19:

Malik missed a run-out today:P had the ball in the hands but didn't throw even though batsman was well short of the crease.

Mrs. Malik Mirza's Performance today: Shoonaay in batting and bowling both, one run out missed and touched the ball with his magic hands maybe twice...what a legend:afridi

Now watch malik score a century in the next game.

He is the dead rubber expert. The most dangerous player to have in a dead rubber

Can't wait for next year when BZ's own hero will be inducted in to Hall of Fame...and make us all proud! Right BZ Paw-Jee?

Quite obviously yes. The changed nick has unfortunately further addled his brains :malik

No...nothing has changed .... only difference I have seen is that the number of his fancy spreadsheets, histograms, graphs has drastically been reduced to almost nothing.... from his old days. I would like to take credit for that :P but I think, it is because on Malik's phenomenal form in his last 29-30 international innings.

im still waiting for his tally to surpass younis khan in tests!! and for him to be given 20 more tests to prove his worth!!

For Maliks to pass YK is test matches, Shoaib Malik, Adeel Malik (his borther), Shaib Malik's son, Shoaib Malik's grandson.... all have to play 150 more tests....and then may be they'll pass YK's runs tally.

as i conveyed already that i am glad to address all new issues...
i havenèt seen that you brought anything new on the table to be addressed...(your whinnings already responded in initial pages of this same thread).

hence no need to produce any data set.

What was YK's average after same number of innings?
and what was MoYo's average in winning cause after same number of innings?

YK's average is just bloated..and myth of his greatness already discussed in detail just few pages back.

I guess these two innings don't make very nice graph;

1st ODI:
2(5) Caught Taibu b Chigumbura

2nd ODI:
14 (14) c&b Chigumbura

:)))
So scoring run in "later part" of the career does not matter?

and what was MoYo's average in winning cause after same number of innings?
Can you be a little more specific... as to runs scored only on Fridays, when the date was only Odd numbers, when spectators were more that 10,000 and Ramiz Raja was wearing pink shirt in the commentary box?

YK's average is just bloated..
Bad... bad... bad .... bad... bad... bad Cricinfo. I knew, their statisticians were up to something.

It is a world wide conspiracy against Malik.... poor baby!!

Do you need a hanky to wipe off your tears?

and myth of his greatness already discussed in detail just few pages back.

TGK, i hope you know that YK was imran's parchi?
and also YK is in team based on "maafi tarla" and not based on merit!

we all know your standards of "greatness" & "merit"!

Do you realise that you have actually highlighted exactly why YK is such a great player??????

One on ehand you ask what YK's average was after same number of games.. If it was the same as Maliks, i.e. in low-mid 30's, then he must have been somewhat of an awsome player to have managed to get his average upto just over 50 after 30 odd games more!!!!

Wonder how many other international batsmen have achieved this??

but but but but but but YK's average is bloated.

Whatever the heck that means!

You really think, he will understand point this complex? If could, he wouldn't be saying what he says.

You have to come waaaay down to his age group to talk to him in his language! :P

You know I've come to the conclusion that he must be some relative or a close friend of Maliks...

otherwise I really cant think of a single reason why someone would be so supportive of such an average player...

In this instance I think there is absolutely no arguing with him...

I am very surprised at malik not scoring a 100 here. He is a dead rubber expert. Never misses an opportunity like this

I had figured that out long time ago. Why do you think I enjoy going after him??? :)) A normal/average fan will not say the things he says.

In this instance I think there is absolutely no arguing with him...
Who argues with him? :P It is just a great sight to see his foot in his mouth every time he opens it! ;-)

'Checks Cricinfo score'

BAHAHAHAHA ! :))) The Don never fails to delight !

but then why people asking for Malik's exclusion?

as Sallu said now it all depends on his performance in T20.

if he fails in T20, then it would come to Faisal Bank T20...

^ Right, so he can rectify sucking in the ODIs by a better performance in a T20.

I fully agree, malik for captain

was he struggling?

Ramprakash is perhaps one of the most technically efficient and god gifted batsmen to have played county cricket. He looked good too in international cricket but was he successful?? He'll no he wasn't.

Malik looks awful against certain bowling and especially on certain wickets, more importantly he's been playing now for a decade and his overall stats are rubbish let alone his last 20/25 innings..

So there you have it!

you started talking about YK, how is related to Malik?

ME????????????????? Here we go growing our nose again???

yes YK got MOS against mighty zim, but how it's related to SM?

I discussed YK in context when YK fans "declare" SM a test failure and then i just show them a mirror...

yes YK got MOS against mighty zim,
What did Malik do against MIGHTY Zimbabwe even after scoring 8000 runs at average of 500.00 in QAE Trophy last (or this) year that you have been jumping up and down about?

Oh..... I remember.... Malik lead Pakistan vs Mighty Zimbabwe and mighty BD 10-0 to become better ODI captain than Imran Khan!

but how it's related to SM?

You tell me......??? Haven't you done pages over pages of expert analysis comparing YK and SM???

Yes I did, but there was a reason behind it (to demonstrate the similarity in their career paths).

If you are challenging that analysis then we can move forward...
but randomly mentioned YK MOS makes no sense at all...

as I don't hate YK! (otherwise why would i compare Malik with YK).

W63L35 bhai,
Would you ever ask a mother why she loves her children? Or why a moth (parwana) goes to the flame (shama)?

There is something called unconditional love, and it can't be explained or denied through logic, stats, or common sense.

We should just accept and applaud that unconditional love is still alive in this world full of hate.

Black-Zero - I wish I could write a "Real men of genius" type of tribute for your love for Shoaib Malik, but unfortunately I'm afraid to be chastised by (hateful) people on this forum for copying a beer company's song idea. I salute you, nonetheless.
