Not a fan of Malik but his performance here, particularly with the bat, has been quite impressive. Something we haven't seen from him in recent intl's...its like chalk and cheese to the series he just had in Zimbabwe..

Shoaib Malik blatantly telling LIES on TV. Now he says that: It was my first match against West Indies. Wasim Akram was captain and he asked me to bowl 15th over, last over of field restrictions, to Brian Lara. And I bowled a MAIDEN over to Brian Lara.

Now see the TRUTH: Brian Lara was OUT in 5th over in Shoaib Malik's debut match then how could he bowl to Lara in 15th over? And after that match, Shoaib Malik never played against West Indies under Wasim Akram's captaincy.

Another lie..... that he played first six tests as a bowler....!!!

Look at his batting positions in his first six test.... he batted at #4 & #6 (specialist batsman) five times where as he batted at #7 only four times!! :))

I don't feel he is a good test player. BUT considering that he has been selected (regardless of the reasons) I will support him, and hope he proves his critics wrong across all formats.

Incorrect (again not paying attention to details):

1st Test against BD...6 batsmen already in and SM still not given chance...so even if we consider him ahead of Latif..then it's #7.

and again..test 1657.....he was #7 (check first innings)

so first 6 tests...#7 first 4 tests...

(and why are you comparing innings when he said about tests?)

nh bhai shoaib malik is a natural captain not for naseem ashraf ijaz but or any other he become the captain of stallion who have few gond players but the stalliom won 6 tournament out of 8 or 9 or. And other captain like afridi yousaf misbah who have good team not become good in t20s he become the captain on domestic ciruct since 6 or 7 year not confirm.His skills had good to see his abilities nasem make him captain if afridi looking good there and win tournament again and again then naseem make afridi captain kuch souch samj kar posts kiya karo aur mere pervious post ka jawab do

I am satisfied in a sense that last time RR defeated SS in a close match ...and Malik admitted that it was due to his rash shot (which was not needed).

Now SM to perform against SL

personally I think he will fail more often with the odd good innings that will then be used by BZ to show he is still bradman. I hope for Pakistans sake he doesnt but leopards do not change their spots!

he bowled a maiden but not to Brian Lara, nice dodge but just like your posterboy Malik, you're not good enough. Either Malik was daydreaming at that time that he saw Brian Lara in a right handed Campbell or he is clearly lying. :P

You give 32 chances bat to a 90 year old players, eventually he will score. So... my prediction is ... that all three pitches will be tailor made for batting .... just like the ones they made against South Africa last year. So.... you give a flat wicket Malik... and he will score.

Yeh... you are right... BZ has been jumping up and down about Malik's one 50 in last 32 innings ...and even his 20s and 30s... so unless Malik scores less than 60 runs in 6 innings, I think... BZ will be happy. We know BZ'z standards by now.... you know! :P

But seriously... I don't care who plays for the team.... as long as the selections are fair, on merit base .... and the players KEEPS performing when given a chance..... and not score worse than most tailenders like Malik has done in his last 32 innings.

ppl wil be insanely happy if Malik scores a 50 regardless of a the fact that it will take him 32 Innings of Failure to achieve it

I'd give him benefit of doubt considering it was his first match and he did get out two main set batsmen...

He did play at #7 in first few test matches...(in 10+ years he played only 54 innings) ... and correct me...wasn't he included as a bowler?

and that was his main point to convey.

Cricket players are like stocks ... you buy based on previous performance.... with Zero guarantee of future performance.... Would anybody (besides you) invest in Malik .......if he was a stock? No! No ... I don't want him to stop posting.... he is our only entertainment on PakPassion besides whining Indians.

I offered BZ a simpler bet before Zimbabwe tour. He said .... he was sure of beating me in Fantasy competition with Malik being the captain of his team. My reply was.... that if he beats me, I'll donate $100 to PakPassion.... if I beat him, he has to donate only $50 to PakPassion. He ran away and did not take the bet!

That bet still stand.... and if he is afraid of losing money then I lower the bet to $50/$20 bet! He wins... I donate $50 ... if I win, he donates $20.

But... as you know, he has never put his money where his mouth is! :) He just says he Malik is best ... but does not prove it with his actions! ;-)
