He was in the T20 side. Cant get into the ODI side at the moment. Your acting like his international career is over. lol

Since your here SS, can you answer the question in my sig.

If YK is such a great guy who is the pride of Pakistan, how come he doesnt retire from ODIs and give youngsters a chance.

This question is like a plague to you Younis Khan fanboys. All of you go back into your holes after this.

He should be there in place of Younis Khan.

Atleast Malik can chip in with his bowling and fielding...And would probably bat better then YK.

shoaib malik is a decant player and should be captain when misbah retires from odi.
 
Since oct 2009 YK averages 27 in odi cricket which is very poor and he deserves to be dropped but some idiots want to replace him with a guy who averages shameful 13 in the same period of time. YK has 10 fifties in that time and shameless Malik had 0.
 
LOL please, no YK and DEFINITELY no Malik.

YK sucks in ODIs but Malik sucks even more and both should have never played as many LOIs as they have.

Its not a problem with either YK, Afridi, Misbah, Azhar and Hafeez...
Problem is with the combination and using the resources intelligently :malik

If he has been such a poor performer over the years in ODIs why doesnt he step around and give youngsters a chance?

And how can you YK fanboys regard him as the pride of Pakistan when he is no different from the rest of the players who think about their own spot?

The guy is a champion . We will surely see him proudly lifting the world T20 trophy with his man of the series trophy as well.
 
India series coming up, 3 matches with us will take his average to 40s again. :23:

INSHALLAH he will come back strongly and takes his captaincy back from hafeez in next 6 months. I see him leading PAK in 2015 WC :malik
 
He is as strong as steal. . On his day he can make world class bowlers look like village cricketers. He is a champion and the Pakistani real sher. His batting ability make him stand apart from other cricketers, his mesmerizing batting with the most graceful style can wow the crowd and would pay anything to watch him. He is our future captain that is for sure not the minow basher aka Hafeez.

I have replied to this before and will say it again. This thread is about Malik open a thread on YK and will give you a reply and believe me for me team comes first and I won't be beating around the bush and defend poor odi form of YK regardless of him being one of the best test batsman in the world.

Its a pretty simple question that can be replied in one post.

Im sure you wont defend YK's poor ODI form but what I want to know is that if YK wants to hog a spot in the ODI team despite being mediocre for so long and keep youngsters out in the process, then doesnt that mean he is no better than the rest?

Lets just accept that he is as ego-centric like the rest of Pakistani players and keep it moving

YK in current Odi form is still better than Malik in a purple patch!! Go sulk some where else mate!

He's done decent in the last couple of T20s

Hopefully he hits form again and can merit a spot for captain

Also hope he's learned his lesson from playing politics and is a good boy now, used to be one of my favorite palyers

Cant beleive why people argue about Maliks selection in T20 by comparing his ODI records :facepalm:

He has been only second to Misbah in t20s for us

In ODI think the drop from WC squad has shattered him badly...honestly was the best WC for a player with his stats

The thing I like about the guy is he never ditched the team unlike Yusuf for ICL and even played a full year of domestic to claim his spot (which some here call sifarish :facepalm:)

Its sad he cant prove himself in ODIs anymore and so is rightfully left out but there is no question regarding his T20 future

Cant agree on Razzaks selection though - no fitness checks done or domestic matches played
 
Malik playing in the SLPL has played a superbly paced innings so far. Rotated strike amazingly well. Batting so so well and shows how valuable he is in T20 cricket. Currently 21 off 18.

That six was probably the shot of the tournament. Amazing stroke & he calculates chases so well doesn't he.
