well there is no doubt he is pro in placing innings by taking single n two and on required ocassions fetching 4 and 6. One can look his stats in chasing it is impressive indeed.
 
Always a better option than Yk and many others in ODI's and especially T20. His domestic T20 performances are testament to that.
 
Lets not jump to conclusions right now shall we? Yes he played a Decent knock but we only say he is in good touch if he performs like this consistantly. Afterall their are players scoring more runs than him- e.g. kami

is actually the Best in buisiness available for Pak team in chasing a Target. I dont think currently in our team there is better player who calculates beautifully in chasing a target

Both Malik and Abdul Razzaq are good chasers. But don't let AR bowl, we only need him in the team as a batsman down the order.

Could they not have given Hammad a chance instead of replacing an also-ran with
another also-ran?

Yeah. Malik fans should show their gratitude to captain Misbah and pray that he stays at the helm for a long time. No way Malik can be in the team without the captain being a close friend.

After inzi he was a better captain for a long time. Unfortunatily he became a victum of some good senior players.
At a moment he is the best allrounder along with Hafeez.
His stats tells us, he is one of the most dangerous player against India, heloves to play under pressure.
A very little lack of techniek but he is a way better player than the likes of Younis khan etc.

do me a favour, learn to read. Go back through this thread instead of sitting on your behind and spouting of unsubstantiated nonsense. Inzi took us to second int he world. Malik to 7th. He was a walking disaster of a captain who forgot to communicate with hsi core players. A pithu yes man who proceeded to destroy our team , from which we have only just recovered.

1- I know younis khan is a better player in test cricket but thr is no any question about odi. Malik is a way better player then younis khan in odi.
2- I am not talking on a single inning against India.

The senior players that you speak of is mainly Moyo, who although a good batsman was an absolute **** and Im glad he was ridiculed during the end of his career which led to his retirement.

Very handy T20 cricketer nothing more than that..
And the best player mentally in the side..does not has many good batting ingredients but maximizes his ability because he has a good head on his shoulders...

Malik started captaining Pakistan on May18th 2007

and at that point Pakistan ranked number 5 already!...

Malik improved Pakistan's ranking immediately to number 4

and another lie, Pakistan never ranked number 7 under Malik.

and also correct yourself about the captain, who took us to number 7 ranking...

bachao bachao the ultimate shagird has returned..yes yes Malik took us to number one in the world not 7 ..happy now? its semantics..the fact is our team got worse when Malikani was captaining it..his man mangement skills were pathetic. we lost all the test series he captained. Useless Test captain!!

then this loser proceeds to destroy the team that he was sacked from like a baby on a tantrum!!

limited player who cant play any sort of bowling outside of the subcontinent..e.g. in england where he was made to look like a third rate club player..lol..and this is what people aspire to??haha..what a joke!!

I don't see there being that much to praise from today...he got the runs in a simple chase and bowled a good over...i just find it odd that there are people here to criticise him...what exactly did he do badly today?...

Bhai jaan it's hurt of years talking. Malik will need to do a lot more to convince me. On merit this guy should not be within 100 miles of Pakistan team. Failure after failure and he still sneaks in ahead of more deserving youngsters.
