I see a few possible scenarios:

*Malik has presented Black Zero with a healthy paycheck, with the sole aim of rectifying the negativity surrounding his name on PakPassion. Oh how he yearns for a bit of praise!

*Malik has perfected mind control and now holds Black Zero between his fingers, so to speak.

*Malik managed to outmuscle Black Zero and now holds him hostage, forcibly overseeing his posting direction!

*Sania Mirza managed to outmuscle Black Zero and now holds him hostage, forcibly overseeing his posting direction! :O


(Delusion and trolling come to mind as well, but I thought I'd list the more likely possibilities first) :P

I have said NO, Malik should not have been selected

But now he's there, and I always used to like him before he lost all form and became a tail ender. So I guess it's time to support him now... the squad is selected, and Hafeez has shown his willingness to accommodate him in the line-up. Alright Malik, can you revive your LOI career? THIS IS THE TIME TO STAND UP!

According to you, Malik was going to score 40 in last T20.
Hafeez changed his batting position....and he got out with a 3-ball duck?

Two questions:
1) Your Bradman could not handle a minor change in batting order?
You are the one who complained and whined about Misbah sending him too late in Zimbabwe (at #5 and #6). But now you are whining about him coming at #4?

Then you whined him being sent too-low!

Can we get BZ to list his excuses before the world cup starts?

Saves me opening the thread during the tournament.

The scenarios are most likely going to be:

1. Malik scratches around, wastes deliveries and the gets out cheaply, probably costing us the match.

- BZ you can use Sohail's argument that it was the management's fault for not letting him get enough batting practice.

2. Malik bowls an over and gets smashed

- My suggestion, use the accident from ten years ago

3. Malik has a shocker in the field

- Blame Sana for sapping his energy the night before

Personally speaking, I believe we have more chance of winning the WC under Malik than Hafeez. I hope someday Malik becomes captain again :malik

Malik is one of our best T20 players.... He is not being used in the right position.

He is excellent in the MIDDLE overs... rotating the strike against spinners.


Line-up should be...

Umar Akmal
Malik
Shafiq
Razzaq
Afridi
Hafeez
Gul
Tanvir/Riaz/?
Ajmal


The first 4 in the line-up should be fixed. (no matter what)

The rest change depending on what the situation is when we are 3 down.

Don't you think, I know he is just trolling! :) In fact a few months ago, a lot of people accused him of being Malik-hater of the highest class because he supports Malik on purpose in this "stupid" way..... so that he can "enjoy" PPers bashing Malik. I mean, if you are a true fan, would you want people to say anything bad about your favorite player?? Why can't he keep quite ..... so that people don't bash Malik???

I reply to him for two reasons:

a) So that he keeps reaching the next levels of highlighted words above..... and see how low he can go!

b) All of us come here for entrainment. My answers to his posts;
....provide entrainment to other posters....
....provide entrainment to him.... because he "thinks" he has succeeded in trolling me....
....provide entrainment to me...when poople like you call him what you just called him... :P

I assume that you joined PP in 2012 so you might not know that WL actually had malik in his fantasy team when he needed some extra points...


so in reality he believes in malik.

You did not notice the stats I mentioned were "as captain" and maybe you do not know, Malik hasn't captained Pakistan for years now.

So your complaint is not justified.

Hafeez got W/L of 1, while malik got 3 (some would argue even more, as couple of matches that he lost..when he was a substitute captain...after our captain caught biting a ball.

but what do u think a settled role is?

I mean he should bat at 4 and take us through the middle overs.

He should be given a consistent run of innings in that role.

(ps. I only want him in T20 side.

He has done nothing of note with his batting for the past three years. He does not deserve a settled role in the team just like the other passengers of Team Pakistan.

I am GLAD Malik performed... if he keeps playing like this, he can stay in the team.

But remember this innings came after 3 years.... and in warm up match which means nothing. It won't be included in his records.

Is BZ out partying or what? I thought this thread would be over-run by his comments praising Malik like God.

Played a superb innings today and proved me wrong. However, he did not score an international 40 and this innings will not be counted in his records.
 
This thread just got a three year life-extension today.

Don't worry if BZ or Riff haven't posted yet. They will refer to this day over the next few years.

Glad he came through and supported Kamran Akmal. Wish the Jr. Akmal would have supported his brother, but he seems to be leaning towards the "Sami" end of the talent spectrum.
 
Good innings but this has come after a couple of years of failure, so nothing to get too excited about. He needs to replicate this performance in other matches to justify his place in the team.

Moon was out in full force today... what a performace !
His one inning alone bumped his 2012 T20 batting average up by 10+ runs too bad it was just a warm up game so his battign avg still remains in single digit.

Makes you wonder really, when you look at the original poll @ whether malik should have been selected for the 2011 world cup.

Had he played in that tournament, things could have turned out differently for pakistan v India in the semi's. Big mistake on his non selection.

But WL showed the stats of balls of bowlers "faced" by malik...and wides show in that table.
