Excellent delivery by Rehman.
Good bowling from Adil too getting a lot of movement reminds me of Asif in his early days.

Rehman on a roll....

Second session is going to be little easier i guess...and then ball swings in Karachi during evening session.Batsmen need to maximize in second session..SNGPL require a wicket less second session...

is the stream on geosuper.tv working for you guys?

These openers are supposed to open in SAF, not looking very promising. Saw Hafeez out and he gave net practice catch to slips on a simple delivery playing away from the body.

What can you say about Umar? He is in the downward spiral, positive is that he got out defending not hitting a six.

Hafeez and Taufeeq surely gonna Crumble under Steyn-Morne-Philander Attack....
Dont count hafeez's performance against India(worst Bowling Attack).....

Afternoon session normally belongs to batsmen ...Lets see if Misbah and Azhar can capitalize on it...

Yes. Lets use this match to figure who will do what in South Africa.
The fact that they are international players who have have been playing for a while should be discounted

Rehman does not seem happy as their is no turn available any more ....SNGPL must have used heavy roller to kill the moisture ....This should prove a batting session.....

But why Ehsan is delayed so much?

Commentators saying that Younis left the house at 7:30 morning but still has not reached the stadium because of traffic conditions

Umar Akmal was made to look like Joker By Rehman :)))
btw adnan akmal playing in place of rizwan .. msibah wants adnan to perform and he will b included in squad for SA

could some one be kind enuff to post when ehsan adil bowls wana watch him commentry really sucks

129/4.

Ali Waqas, one of my favourites, in with Misbah!

Any speed gun there?

How are the fast bowlers bowling?

Already some important lessons for Dav Whatmore and the on-tour selectors:

1. Taufeeq Umar is gone.
He is a disaster waiting to happen. He has been in decline for 15 months, and he is just going to condemn Pakistan to top-order collapses if they play him in South Africa.

2. Hafeez has to work hard before the First Test
He really looks loose outside off-stump, like a guy who hasn't played on a lively track for a long, long time.

3. Azhar Ali looks the part
Back to his usual hard-to-dismiss self.

4. Misbah is in good working order

5. Umar Gul and Ehsan Adil look on track
We don't want either to really slip up a gear and risk injury. This is a match for them to be steady and accurate.

I dont see ehsan adil troubling saf batsmen. Rahat ali could have been a far better choice.poor poor selection by selection commitee......

Fahad masood is so fat

They both are our futures but give the kid a chance. I think he can do very good in seaming conditions.

karachi is the flattest pitch in the world so don't expect much from the bowlers.

Rahat Ali should have been there for Irfan, not Ehsan Adil.

Selectors just wanted to please people because Irfan has performed against India, but that was Limited Overs. Irfan should not play the longer format because he is 30 years old and we want the maximum out of him, ie playing him in the shorter formats and not putting too much strain on his body.

Besides, Rahat Ali is a much better Test Bowler compared to Irfan.

The comments about Ehsan Adil probably show a lack of understanding about what his role is going to be.

In the first hour of any South African innings we will see Junaid bowl 6 overs and the two other quicks bowl 4 over spells.

From that point on, Ajmal and Hafeez will bowl throughout the innings from one end while Junaid, Gul and the third quick will bowl 5 over spells in rotation.

This role does not require Wasim or Waqar. It just requires miserly, accurate bowling to put a brake on the scoring rate with the old ball, to make the batsmen take risks against Ajmal at the other end. Then after around 50 overs we should see Gul and Junaid start to reverse the ball.

So the role of Adil or Irfan is going to be mainly to be defensive.

I would agree with this Irfan may get one hell of a bounce but i dont think he is fit for test. Although i hope i am wrong. Dont see these kids getting a game though. First test will not feature many changes.

Plan has flaws. The pitch is supporting fast bowling not spinning. Spinners wont be effective except maybe Ajmal. Its a fast bowling pitch so we should have more attacking with our quicks.

Ehsan adil has not much pace.he is a medium pacer and he is not fast at all.but he can be a good bowler if he swings the ball both ways.
Besides rahat ali has got pace and moves the ball.but also i do agree with you that
Rahat should have been there for irfan.
