Too bad he butchered kuldeep in a finalIn india he was dropped from playing 11 just because he is pathetic player against spinners![]()
Not sure why Australia are hellbent on shoehorning their middle order batters as openers.
They tried Steve Smith as opener for a while too.
Practice what you bloody preachSo you think Sidhu was a Joginder Sharma level player?
This is not a Rizwan bashing thread, please use your brain here.
Even a joker like Rizwan averaged something like that against Cummins, Starc and Hazlewood in AustraliaIn the 1996 tour to WI, Sidhu averaged 46 against the trio of Ambrose, Walsh and Bishop and we have @Rana here comparing Sidhu with Joginder Sharma.
In tests, yes.Practice what you bloody preach
Do you honestly think Sidhu was a Head level player? What a clownish statement to begin with!
Ravi shastri use to unleash hell on warne and murli? In tests, yes.
Instead of running your mouth go watch some actual cricket from the past.
Shastri used to unleash hell on spinners of the calibre of Warne and Murali.

Let me have my lunch first and then I’ll have you for desert…In tests, yes.

beta stick to Rizwan bashing, this is something way above your calibre.Let me have my lunch first and then I’ll have you for desert…
Yeah, its a known thing. I am not shocked though, you hardly have any knowledge of cricket pre 2020.Ravi shastri use to unleash hell on warne and murli?
When did i say that.@jeeteshssaxena logic.
Because Wasim Akram has higher score than Sachin in Test Cricket. Therefore Wasim is better batter.![]()
Don't take these guys view serious because for them Asif Ali is best captain in Pakistan , Usman Khan is best limited over players and fixer Sharjeel is best Opener in Pakistan cricketbeta stick to Rizwan bashing, this is something way above your calibre.
Ravi shahstri faced Warne when warne was a debutant on the flattest wicket possibleYeah, its a known thing. I am not shocked though, you hardly have any knowledge of cricket pre 2020.
Even his cricinfo profile says the same.
It's pretty funny Akram has a higher HS then Sachin in test though@jeeteshssaxena logic.

And Muralitharan has a higher str rate then Head in test cricketIt's pretty funny Akram has a higher HS then Sachin in test though![]()
When did i say that.
I am comparing a 42 averaging test opener from the 90s to a middle order batsman averaging the same?
Is this getting too difficult to grasp?
Strike rates increase if you have scores of 5 of 3 or 10 of 4 lol.And Muralitharan has a higher str rate then Head in test cricket![]()
Warne debuted in 1997-1998?Ravi shahstri faced Warne when warne was a debutant on the flattest wicket possible.
Only an indian can hype a 35 avg test batter and act like he'd be relevant to warne and murli in prime.
Keep your 2020 covid knowledge to yourself please.
Yeah i Know, he can’t calculate averages so this is definitely too much for him.mominsaigol is not the sharpest tool in the shed. Please forgive him.
Moron, if you're going to make fun of me, atleast check the replies. @jeeteshssaxena made that reply to @RidiculousMan not memominsaigol is not the sharpest tool in the shed. Please forgive him.
No options. Konstas is too young and Campbell Kellaway needs at least one more season of Shield , but looks the most promising imo.Not sure why Australia are hellbent on shoehorning their middle order batters as openers.
They tried Steve Smith as opener for a while too.
Oh another one who cant tell the difference between me and @RidiculousManY
Yeah i Know, he can’t calculate averages so this is definitely too much for him.

Lol you literally owned yourself and proved to the whole world why your cognitive skills are zero![]()
Yeah show that wicket. Not the innings prior where he destroyed India by scoring a super century in BGT. Kitnei had tak rat bano gei
Imagine india gets favour of these close call . ICC = BCCIAustralia with all the luck . Umpires' calls all going their way.
See the difference when my blessing is involvedAustralia with all the luck . Umpires' calls all going their way.
Yeah I mean he didn’t just end India’s rigged wc campaign in ODI’s did he?Travis Head is a good Test batsman, nothing more.
Yeah I mean he didn’t just end India’s rigged wc campaign in ODI’s did he?
Its over 9000@mominsaigol what is Travis Head's score again? Sorry I am not following the game and have no access to cricinfo

Yeah I mean he didn’t just end India’s rigged wc campaign in ODI’s did he?
Fair assessment. he Needs more consistency. Average of 42 at 31 years old, 50ish matches and 1 overseas century is far far away from great in the format.Travis Head is a good Test batsman, nothing more.
So, you haven't even included AB in that? WowTravis Head is the 5th greatest all format batsmen of all time after kohli, KP, Gayle and Warner.
Siddu wasnt even relevant in his own era.
IMO its Kohli, KP and ABDV who would get into the great teams in all formats. They have solid records no matter the format.Travis Head is the 5th greatest all format batsmen of all time after kohli, KP, Gayle and Warner.
Siddu wasnt even relevant in his own era.
No cause ab was rubbish in t20. Not an international t20 batsmen. Better then head in test and odi 100%So, you haven't even included AB in that? Wow
By all formats, I mean players that are good in all formats. AB is an odi and test legend but he underachieved in international t20IMO its Kohli, KP and ABDV who would get into the great teams in all formats. They have solid records no matter the format.
Players like Head, Gayle and Warner are tier below. Not bad players across formats by any means but they have some weaknesses in test particularly.

You are right, he underachieved compared to his IPL exploits, yeah, but he was still a very, very good player in T20i.By all formats, I mean players that are good in all formats. AB is an odi and test legend but he underachieved in international t20

Beau seems like he is ready to give his wicket to Rabada any time.Smith is on 45*. He needs to score a big hundred.
Opportunity for rookie Webster to make a name for himself.

I disagree. You are right, he underachieved compared to his IPL exploits, yeah, but he was still a very, very good player in T20i.
And this is why I rate smith > Sachin. Sachin never throughout 24 years of test cricket got his team out of a collapse or a tricky jam.50 for the Test GOAT.
A real privilege to watch him bat.
After cheating he gets the fifty.
I agree 100%And this is why I rate smith > Sachin. Sachin never throughout 24 years of test cricket got his team out of a collapse or a tricky jam.
He scored big but only due to dravid + Sehwag + Ganguly performing prior.
Sachin has a few solid knocks in odi such as desert storm but in test he has zero match saves.
This isnt the first time smith has rescued either. He once reduced Aus against England won them the game single handidely.
Easily the greatest technician and impact player in test history.
Kohli is a known choker. With Kohli though I was just thinking that out of the so called greats, there has never been a player who has flopped in so many high profile ICC tournament KO games when it actually mattered. And lets be real, even that knock in the ICC T20 final recently was terrible, he can count his lucky stars that SA saved their usual botchmania for the end. You talk about Viv Richards, Travis Head & even KP all these guys played crucial impactful knocks to deliver trophies for their country. Kohli was amazing in bilaterals however, he just didn’t have the marbles when it mattered, it’s a genetic issue and not his fault. I wish him well and hope he can take care of Anushka’s kids in the UK very well.
Yeppp 100%And this is why I rate smith > Sachin. Sachin never throughout 24 years of test cricket got his team out of a collapse or a tricky jam.

Head is an impact player.
Even if he is not very consistent, a team needs someone like him.
