South Africa seem really pumped up today

Pakistan will do well to make 200!

Babar looked very shaky. For SR obsessed posters, Babar batted with a SR of 84.6!

However, SR means nothing if your score is < 50
 
Rizzu gone too, now say who is better saim or babar/riz? Saim is better player of pace and spin than both rizbar. You saw it in australia, you saw it in sa in first one day when whole team collapsed, saim and agha rescued pakistan
 
Rizwan's ability against pace-bowling has fallen off a cliff in the recent past. He was never a dominant player of pace-bowling but had the ability to score runs. It feels like most good fast-bowlers these days manage to find his off-stump.
 
This team is in dire need of new faces. The likes of Babar, Rizwan and fakhar are finished and need to go.

Hussain talat has no business in playing international cricket. The one player who has potential we have moved him from opening to no 7 and now he's dropped.

Making Shaheen the skipper is also a bad decision as he himself has been poor for a long time.

The bottom line is he's not a no 4 and him batting there is going to cost us. He needs to go. You can't have someone as limited as him at 4.
 
Someone tell the fans who are coming to the stadium that Babar is already out so they go back to their daily life instead of watching the match.

Both are not the answers. Invest in someone from u19 with potential. Sahibzada can't rotate strike and his feet are stuck in cement. Irfan has bowled 5 overs I list a he can't bowl.

You dont invest in raw u-19 players in international. They will keep failing and learn nothing. Need to invest on them in domestics first with proper domestic set up.

Sahibzada and Irfan should be tried in the meantime.

I'd say let u19 guys play psl first like saim, then let them come through psl.

Where is your U19 talent shahzaib who scored 150 unbeaten against India and now disappeared

I disagree. Both farhan and irfan are limited batsmen. Even if not from u19 get under 23 players from domestic with performances and potential. I have followed farhan career in domestics and he has hardly improved over the last 10 years.
 
My conspiracy theory is that Mohsin Naqvi (most talented person in the entire freaking world) has a grudge against Babar & that's why there's no pure batting strip being prepared even in white ball cricket.
 
I know it's early days and might not be the most pertinent comment right now considering he's batting at a SR of 50.

But I think ODI may be Saim Ayub's best format. He has good potential as an ODI batsman and adds something with the ball too.

In general the standard is quite poor and agreed azan awais has potential, I also like the look of Mohammed Farooq, Saad Khan, but in general the standards are shocking.

People were backing his 50 the other day when he came in at well set 102/2 in 18th over and played like he came in at 15/2 and got out at a crucial time as expected with a 50 @ SR 75 and gone...

He is the best wk in pak no doubt about that but he should be batting at 6 or 7 , no.4 in ODIs is a kill and blocking the way for a proper middle order batsman... Even Farhan can be included to open with Saim and move Fakhar to 1 down and Babar at 4 will stabilize the batting unit.. or bring in Imam or Abdullah Shafiq to Open with Fakhar and make Saim to drop 1 down...
 
Pakistan will have to work real hard to even get 200 today, playing with one batsman less, though Hasan Nawaz was not contributing much recently.

Back then chasing 250 is like chasing 320 these days , every team has a good bowling unit who can swing the new ball both ways...

To chase against the bowling unit Pak had and under lights which was very new that time was a hugh task like chasing 350 today in Aus...

This is the only reason I like Agha as captain he always fights and has played some match saving innings .
