Why they are still bowling Duminy? He is only good to contain the batsmen for a couple of overs, but doesnt possess any wicket-taking ability. They should have gone for another wicket after Dhawans dismissal, by bringing on Tahir.

Can't believe De Villiers doesn't have a slip for Kohli. Faf should be captain.

Rohit = biggest HTB in the world

The new Mahela

Most ODI tracks are flat. He has a 130+ score vs. Australia in the MCG too.

Amla cannot take the game away from the opposition, and he is a liability in the last 10-15 overs because he has one gear only.

Duminy bowling filth. SA needs to get wickets here. What is ABDV doing?

C'mon Kohli, want to see a big one from you today. Cant see a player of his caliber struggling match after match - its time to get out of this bad patch!

Too easy for the Indians. That's the problem for any bowler against India on flat tracks. They're just too good when chasing especially when Kohli or Dhoni fire. Never allow them to bat 2nd on a flat track.

and end their careers in the process.

I think the Barmy Army's song that was made for :Murali: can now be modified .

Throw, throw, throw the ball
gently down the seam.
Bhajji, bhajji, bhajji, bhajji
chucks it like a dream

Brilliant man. Cracked me up. Making this as my signature if u don't mind!

Sharp catch from Duminy, gets the dangerman Rohit out. SA need a couple of quick wickets now and strangle the run-rate.

Batting first India would have got 320.

Without any doubt. But India's bowlers would have messed it up. South Africa isn't a bad batting unit either.

Batting 2nd allows the Indian batsmen to plan their innings. They don't have to worry about the score if it's good enough or not.

Unless it's a good wicket you really need 350+ to challenge an Indian side.

SA not good chasers against spin. Runs on board creates pressure , but SA dropped catches.

All these white teams have their weaknesses against subcontinental spinners. But SA got some good players in ABDV, Duminy, Du Plessis. These guys perform well almost everywhere. So yea the outcome could have been anything.

But batting 2nd on a flat track is usually a certain victory for India. It's like you got a guarantee of something. That's why I have always said that its stupid to bat first against India in Asia unless you got 5 very good bowlers. If you choose to chase against India at the least you stand a chance.

Somehow i have felt that South Africa lack a proper gameplan. They tend to go for irresponsible shots when not required or play cautiously when not needed. Something you would see Bangladesh doing in the past

The reason why South africal lost to us last time, was because they have been lacking a distinct plan of action. For example, they were trying to play too many sweeps against the spinners instead of rocking back to them and such. Also, they don't try to take on the aerial root when the bowler is off his mark. Australia are the best exponents of the modern game

Actually you are under estimating Indian bowling , the use lot of brains in bowling , CT and also recent WC Indian bowlers did good job.

Yes , since players like kallis , klusner , pollock went away , the have not had the balance they are used to .

Yes, MS Dhoni gets the most out of his bowlers. The guy is a genius.

I was talking about chances. It's really tough to beat India in these conditions when they're chasing. Credit to Kohli, Dhoni etc.

The bottamline is that India is too good In Subcontinent. They have batters who can get 6 runs an over without taking chances

They still have a world class side, barring a proper all-rounder.

But the issue is they don't have reliable batsman these days. I liked Rilee Rossow while David Miller has been completely off form these days.

When was the last time we hit a boundary?

Last 6-7 overs have been very good for SA. They have created a tiny bit of opening for themselves with their disciplined bowling.

But with 8 wickets in hand India shou win this easily

Will this come down to the same situation as the first ODI? 90 runs in last 10 overs?

Though 8 wickets still to go & both Dhoni & Kohli are well set this time.

No point in losing wickets now, might as well get close as possible and go boom boom. I understand Dhoni's plan and I believe in him.
