Has Worrall got injured? He looked to be the best one out of the new pacers Aus carried for this ODI series. 140+ hits it hard in the pitch can be one for Australia to keep close.

Aussies bowling attack looks pretty mediocre. I am sure with our Bowling attack we would have given SA a better fight than aussies did. Aussies slowly but surely look like a weak side day by day, and not many star players are coming through their system either. SA looks a class act team at home.

Aussies are chasing at New Lands under light, with Tahir, Rabada & Styen back. It's more like 5-0 to me.

Mate, steyn is a test bowler and a legend of SA in test cricket. He should retire and play test cricket only. Otherwise he might be gone soon because of cricket series schedules.

Aus Whitewash in ODI is amazing! I don't think they got down to such level! Will we see a huge dip in Australian Cricket (in 2020s) like West Indies (in 1990s)? Moreover South African pitches are like 2nd home to Australia (closest to what they find at their home). Australia vs. South Africa (bilaterals) were always a good competitive even contests because when they play between each other the home advantage is almost negated (except the crowd support) and eventually the stronger team would win (you will also see that neck to neck especially in ODIs is close!)

I wonder if Tahir would be considered an ODI great by the time he retires. He's really, really good(great) in this format.

What do SAfricans players and fan think of Tahir celebration ? Is he accepted ? Is he taken as show off and trying to prove his loyalty ?

I find it quite funny and acceptable. Can't speak for anybody else, but I don't think they find it negative.

2nd best ODI series this year. Yeah results are kind of one sided but good to see the competition between the 2 batting orders.

Excellent batting by Australia. Taking minimal risks yet scoring at a fairly brisk pace in order to facilitate a strong finish.

wow what an innings this must have been by Warner!

ill switch on just to watch its conclusion eventhough match is gone now

reminds me of Smith's CT 2009 innings against england where everyone else failed

will this be the first time Aus will be whiteashed in a bilateral ODI series?

What a gem Warner is playing. Appears to have finally turned a corner in this format, but sadly isn't receiving any support. If he can somehow pull off a win here (very farfetched), this would surely go down as one of the GOAT ODI knocks.

what do you mean appears to have turned a corner lol?

he's been doing well for a while

40@90 for a sustained period of time is no joke

in WC he was 50+ at like 125 SR too

He was averaging 35 after playing 65 games at the start of 2016.

Has had a great year in ODI cricket.

He's sending good deliveries to the ropes too. Still looks like an impossible task, though.

Best innings I have ever seen because warner have to score 12 runs per over and he is still taking no risks and scoring at required rate

One of the best ODI innings ive seen in a long long time. Better than many of the 200+ scores

and not even a single six in that 173 off 136 by Warner, of all the people

Interesting to see who gets mom award.

if CSA was BCCI they'd give it to Faf for being a good leader.

Freakin Zampa made Warner take that super risky double after his shenanigans the previous over

How the heck do you manage to not get bat on ball for three deliveries straight in the modern age of cricket? Esp as an Aussie frontline player

I think in modern one day 35@90 is pretty good. We would love it if we get a player with that stats

These days a 35@90 is much more valuable than a 40@75 which you used to get from top players of 90s

Yes but Australia's standards are different to ours.

I think some of his past inconsistency was probably because Australia often played around with the lineup and he didn't get a long run in the team except during tournaments.

He has played a lot of games this year.

5-0, second string or not

Not many teams will do that, we can in return go to Australia and collect a drubing of our own with some sort of consolation.

True

I don't, we will get humiliated in Australia this November
And they won't feel sorry for us. It's this sort of mentality that makes them a champion side, they are ruthless.

True. The losses I can take, in a way. It's the damn Aussie sledging that gets to me. It's going to be brutal.

Rilley played a clutch innings today, i think JP will have to make way for AB IMHO. Phehlukwayo deserves an extended run. He looks a better bowler economically to Morris. Must work on his batting during the of season, hopefully he gets a gig in England
SA are shaping up nicely, in terms of their lower middle order.

Not a surprise at all, another ICC tournament is less than an year away :P

Will that work out in terms on the quota...?

Abdullah has summarised what I was referring to. At one point he had a mid 30s average and a strike-rate not much greater than what he manages in Tests, despite being tailor-made for the shorter formats.

A batsman of his calibre should not be averaging below 45 in ODIs and with players like him, the strike-rate always takes care of itself.

Before he used to get quick starts and throw his wicket away. Only recently has he started making it count more regularly.
