He needs to go back to FC cricket and learn the complete skillset required for the longer format. Give someone like Waqas Maqsood a debut, and don’t sacrifice Shaheen’s development by giving him this constant ragra in international cricket.
 
It’s cus of performances like this the likes of SA NZ Aus won’t be inviting pak & Wasim akram over anytime soon.. dreadful commentating & team.
 
Game is over chaps at least we can say we never lost the series...This wicket wont spin till 4th or maybe 5th day so we dont have much of a chance

Waqas Maqsood was bowling seam up deliveries and struggling to cross 125kph in a T10 game the other day. Much like Abbas after his injury, he just isn't quick enough for international cricket.
 
Apparently there's no problems with our seam attack, more experience is all that's needed. Musa, Naseem, Hasnain and Rauf will save the day according to some fans.

Oh, and the only reason no pacer since Waqar has taken 200 Test wickets is because we've had so many great options to choose from.

When will we let go of these fantasies ?!
 
Aussies, India, England, NZ and SA have all improved in the fast bowling department in the last 5 years.

What has happened to Pak? It has become worse
 
Poor stuff with new ball so far, has been case with our bowlers all series.

Waqar is the most shameless coach in our history.

Fails in every single stint but doesn't bother to learn from his mistakes or get more coaching experience >> runs back to the commentary box >> applies again when another vacancy appears which he gets only because he's a big name >> fails again.

This is his third tenure as bowling coach in addition to two head coach stints. Does he not have any shame ?
 
We need a proper bowling coach who knows how to correct and teach others.
 
Good bowling by Hassan Ali, thankfully that stupid slip placement didn't cost us too much.

Honestly I already said this South African side is so mentally broken and skill wise as to be fair it would be a miracle if they get a lead they are 200-220 team on a very good day as well on top of that they know the art of choking

I think Wasim Khan needs to be blamed to appoint him. A fraud will not accept his lack of knowledge/mistakes.
Unfortunately both Misbah and Waqar will get away with their incompetency due to poor S Africa team.
 
Hassan Ali badly need a good test performance to be back to his best. Pakistan need him to deliver for us and become part of pace attack.

I said before T20 WC will be the curtains for Misbah and Waqar PCB will not remove them until they will have enough.
 
2 much needed wickets. Babar needs to step messing with stupid field placings
 
As said in the last match, I thought Hassan bowled decently and could easily have gotten couple of more wickets in the 2nd innings of SA on another day.

Pakistan fans forget we are playing on dead tracks and we don’t have 2 Ws calibre bowlers who can extract wickets out of these dead wickets. Unless we make bold moves and have drop in supporting pitches like SA we will not develop our pace battery. Look at Indian fast bowlers struggling at home, because Australia pitches suits them.
 
Pak will be bowling in the 4th innings so if Pak bowls well and dont let SA to get any considerable lead than Pak will have an advantage unless they have a collapse in 3rd innings

Really need to control the run rate here. Cant let du plesis settle. Need shaheen to turn it on frm the other end.
 
Would really like Shaheen to have some impact as well, something which I think is due in test cricket.

To be honest Hasan was very good at conditions like these as he was good at reverse swing. But his pace has dropped a lot and now he does not look like as threatening as he was before. He was never good with the new ball.
 
90 mph by Shaheen. Just needs to be consistent with his radar

I did but then I think about the options we have like of Abbas and Tabash. It's not because he is good enough but because we are lacking good fast bowling options. Our standards are so down that the trundlers likes of Tabash are getting into the squad at the age of 35.

I think like Mammoon has said we will have to embrace mediocrity.
 
I think the SA plan is to keep scoring runs and not get bogged down at the wicket. They will face less overs and look to score more runs.

Would be interesting to see which scoring shots will they use against spinners as they didnt use the feet or sweep shots much in the last match.
