If england get away with 2 draws 9 wickets down they will be well jammy!

If Bell saw this through, he would have gone some way to answer his critics who says he can't handle high pressure moments. Great innings though. If onions and swann do make it through, it will be because of Bell and Collingwood's partnership .

OMFG..... Bell u choker

Harsh, but the pressure did ultimately get to him.

Still a fine knock from him, certainly will silence his detractors for now even if he didn't see it through to the very end.

If Saffies win this series, will there be any change in Rankings?

:))) Morkel to Onions, no run, massive, massive appeal from a fuller ball that crashes into Onions' pads, but it is high and sliding down leg, not even Harper got that wrong

:))) :))) :))) :)))

I'd love to see these two block out the remaining couple of overs.

6 balls left with the last man on strike. This next ball needs to be right on the mark!

The way Onions is playing the short ball outside off he could well guide one to the slips... or maybe Morkel will get him with a yorker

Two slow yorker played easily.. dont know why morkel isnt putting more behind it

3 balls to go...

who says test cricket is boring!

Last wicket.... Two balls to go - Onions, the number 11 trying to survive Morkel... and a REVIEW for caught behind..........!

Wonderful finish!! :14: :14: :14:

And what a splendid Save by England and Onions .... yet again!!!!!!!!!!

England should be the No 1 test team, they are just so expert at it.

choke choke choke

thats what RSA are experts in....

Well done RSA , u just got ur PHD in Epic Choking :)))

Another boring draw, seriously the public wants to see results, not waste 5 days watching a contest in which there's no clear winner!!!

Wake up ICC!!!

Thrilling, thrilling match. Three great tests out of three. Every England match is either a result or the draw goes down to the wire!

We are keeping test cricket alive all by ourselves!

That wasn't choking :))) thats equivalent to a boxer having the other on the ropes beating the crap out of him only to be stopped by the ref. SA were the better team in both matches but Eng "survived"

Well done England!

Credit goes to Bell and Collingwood .... batted for over 50 overs , did exactly what the team required.

Well played England. Why can't our batsmen do the same for us!!!!
Their tail is MUCH MUCH better than ours. Has been for 10 - 15 years, since Fletcher brought in the approach of selecting bowlers who could contribute with the bat, ie be multi-dimensional cricketers. That's the way to save and then win Tests. Not to select bunnies like our tail!

Our no. 8 Aamer is probably on par with England's no.11.
Our numbers 9 - 11 are worse than the tails of all other countries perhaps.

No surprise though, our top order's pretty poor too!! :))

Boring draw ? You following the same game?

I'd prefer a game like this over a one sided result game.

This is what Test cricket is all about.

Erm... I think he was being sarcastic bro :) Don't wish to speak for anyone else, but that seemed like a classicaly sardonic post....

Now the match is over , I am sure ball tampering will dominate the headlines.

@Muhammad apologies if it was a sarcastic comment bro, sarcasm doesn't always translate well over text

that tops cardiff IMO! We survived 141 overs which is amazing! An UNASSAILABLE series lead!

Interesting how Broad asked for a review when he KNEW he was out!

The guy obviously is a living embodiment of the 'spirit of cricket'!

Brilliant stuff! :14:

Congrats!

saffies unable to take 20 wkts AGAIN!

England's fixation with saving the game using last wkt stands continues!!!

yet another draw, which will feel like a win

As it should. All great teams are hard to defeat - England are not great, but they definitely don't lie down and accept defeat, do they!

They are 1-0 up after three Tests - basically, they cannot lose the series. SA, despite dominating two Tests, can only draw or even lose a home series. So yeah, of course England should celebrate this like a win!!

Another superb test match between England and South Africa.

I just felt that Bell should have won the MOM instead of Smith
