India looked a force heading into 2007 on the back of a win v a Vaas-less/Murali-less SL.

However, I feel that even if this is bouncy and quick and unlike the conditions they will encounter, persistent drubbings would definitely lower their morale.

They will be one of the main favourites, but I feel that players like Yuvraj Singh and Dhoni are not going to have a good World Cup and the onus will be on Sachin, Sehwag and Gambhir to take them to glory because the bowlers most certainly won't.
