Don't think he can shield them forever though. One of the tail enders will need to play an innings similar to what Steyn played in the first innings.

Add to all that with a team thats ranked 2 in tests with that bowling im not convinced at all

Of course shielding means only this. He can't get 100% strike - he should try to take on 80% of the strike and hope some one in the tail can play out 100 balls.

Saj bro Rankings are not by BCCI!! but you have point, we will not be there for long time.
Top 3 teams are SA Aus & Eng due to balanced attack remaining teams are only good in one dept.

Because the pace attack is so much better that a spinner isn't needed as much as other countries need one.

Also, the potato spinner Peterson picked up 4 so far against a lineup that was meant to destroy him, or is it a case of them gifting their wickets? :p
 
Who needs a spinner when you have 7 batsmen and 3 fast bowlers who can blow anyone away :p

Maybe the South Africans are testing themselves with the old ball.. This is just a 2 ball game with the new ball

Magnificent shot by Rahane, this guy is class and India's third best bat along with Pujara and Kohli.
 
Why is Dale Steyn going crazy celebrating bowling one of the worst tail enders in world cricket?
 
The pitch is still good to bat! Only if one more batsman stuck there with Rahane..

How can a Test team be so good and not playing in front of sold out stadiums?

People queue up to get in to test grounds in England even when we are rubbish!


Is Test cricket dying in SA? The stadium should be packed to the rafters right now I don't get it.

Strange that Kallis got an empty farewell. There was so much difference during Sachin farewell in India, even people who do not turn up to watch tests did on that occasion.
