The rain isn't much to worry about i.e. it won't washout a game, just stop it for a bit i.e. a thundershower.

maybe they're waiting for morkel to get out for taking the powerplay... lol :)

this morkel guy reminds me of gilchrist...

These guys just need to smack and smack and smack .

That way these guys are gonna at least get as close as they can to the total to avoid a Dreadful RR .

botha's playing well .. that one was cheeky........ morkel can hit them big mind you... if he gets int his groove and if botha supports him then we have a close game here :D

Tht wicket seals a potentil come back.

anyway....sri lnks deserved to win.
Don't be negative ... the game is far from over ... still 80 balls. Morkel is there. Van der Merwe can bat. Steyn can bat. Purnell can bat.

Have faith.

Well I'm out of here ... rather watch in bed. More comfortable. :)

I just hope this doesn't go down to DL. THat doesn't bring cater for the Albie Morkel or Afridi factors of life. Lol!

The players go off the field for rain. The covers are on. Sri Lanka are way ahead at this stage so if there's no further play, they will be declared winners. But for now, we have to wait and watch

SL will take this one. Looks like the rain and the chokers tag are back to haunt SA. But who knows, this may be their off game and they'll peak at the right time for once.

Problem is Murali, Malinga, Mendis and co can bowl!

SA are 'slow starters' :yk :D
would it be fair to say that lanka turned up underprepared to meet pak in t20.. and saffers turned up under prepared to meet lanka ?? both suffered upsets...

also saffers perhaps were underprepared for t20 semis too... not enough homework.. unlike pak

Actually SL was thinking that they might have edge over Pakistan because they had beaten Pakistan in super 8 stage. So that could be a reason why they were unprepared. As far Saffers are concerned I think they take all the teams lightly except Australia (:( todays match is somewhat also proving that. But I don't think being unprepared is an valid excuses for any team. Especially for SA in this match

Perhaps SA had chokers tag in semi-final :D

^^ yeah, and we were underprepared for Sri Lanka in the first 3 ODIs as well, cuz after that we've won the consecutive 3 50-over matches (one being warm-up) against them :D

Let's face it, Mendis did the damage for Lanka and took key wickets. Though I was hoping for Amla to score...but oh well..

WOW so happy to see Srilanka win...just when the toss was going on i told to my brothers that srilanka will win today and see they won as SA were the favourites and a strong team but my money was on my 2nd fav team srilanka and they played brilliantly i also said sa have never played mendis so thts the key and what a innings dilshan played, exceptional.
looking forward for tomorow match. hope pak wins with big margin sad to see no younus tomorow.

true, he was about to cry ever since his first over! looks tired and exhausted! :13:
Well I just realized he didn't cry. He needs a slap from his IPL teammate Bhajji

lol that or he needs Sachin to tell him to get his act together else he'll smack his butt :133:

Proof once again, the results in the practise matches.......dont mean jack!

Well done Sri Lanka!

They were the better team and Mendis really got the better of the South Africans. It really shows that Mendis is still a handful if you've never played him before.

Quite a comprehensive win as well, certainly not many of us expected.

Well played Sri Lanka, deserved winners :14:

SA bowled and fielded like a bunch of amateurs.

bad day for Saffies.....but can't afford another one aginst NZ!!

On a good note, we are back to No.1 and this time it would be more than A day!!
