Actually SL was thinking that they might have edge over Pakistan because they had beaten Pakistan in super 8 stage. So that could be a reason why they were unprepared. As far Saffers are concerned I think they take all the teams lightly except Australia ( todays match is somewhat also proving that. But I don't think being unprepared is an valid excuses for any team. Especially for SA in this match

WOW so happy to see Srilanka win...just when the toss was going on i told to my brothers that srilanka will win today and see they won as SA were the favourites and a strong team but my money was on my 2nd fav team srilanka and they played brilliantly i also said sa have never played mendis so thts the key and what a innings dilshan played, exceptional.
looking forward for tomorow match. hope pak wins with big margin sad to see no younus tomorow.

They were the better team and Mendis really got the better of the South Africans. It really shows that Mendis is still a handful if you've never played him before.
