agreed about playing a fast bowler in place of a specialist spinner. What do you think of ADBV keeping? Now since he would be made test captain as well, I think he should give up the keeping and bat at number 4. Too much weight on his shoulders might pull him down.

I'm not sure if he can take on the triple burden of batting+keeping+captain. Would probably mean bring QdK in to keep, but I'm not sure if he's a test level keeper or batsman yet.

There is also a political aspect as there is with most things in this country. If AB gives up the gloves, then people will start crying about why Tsolokile couldn't take over since he has been part of the squad. Problem is he's probably about as good as Steyn with the bat.

Yeah Punt deserved a better farewell too. What a playa he was. So was Biff. got a good farewell. Both Ponting and Smith should have retired against a home series against the Indians. Our bowling "attack" gives opponents happy memories
