South Africa vs India | 3rd test Day 3| Kanpur|

I know Kallis is looking like another Ponting against Sharma, maybe he has something for right handed batsman, whereas Smith is having no problems
There was one spell in Australian tour when he kept troubling Hayden with the old ball, reverse swinging it. Eventually, he did claim him lbw.

many not given out when s.a bowled.....keep things in perspective .

Yes, Doctrove has been very consistent.

Why is it that such a crappy umpire has the ability to controll the fate of players from two of the best cricketing nations?

Kallis goes . Huge wicket . S.A in deep trouble now . 5 for 3 effectively .

Boucher is one batsmen am worried about ......cant see smith staying in for too long here !

sehwag bowling india to victory ... quite embarrassing if ur a saffie.

2 for 3 ATM ... nice figures ... lol.

SA's can play spin , no matter wat saffer says !

I assume you mean "Can't" . Well I think anyone would struggle on this wicket. India would have struggled too if S.a were playing someone who oculd spin the ball consistantly .Anyway....pretty much game over . I don't see the tail putting together any reasonable score .

Even Shane Warne was unsuccessful against Indian batsmen

well i dont think it is over.....anything over 100 chasing on this wicket would not be easy!!

SA have never had anyone who could spin the ball!

Plenty . You could take any domestic spinner from south africa and they'd spin the ball on these type of pitches . Johan botha should be here , as he spins it a lot and bowls the doosra and he can bat ....not picked for political reason .

Anyway...22 for 4 ....if they can somehow get 150 ahead there's a slight chance .....but that's not looking likely at all .

Guess what, I felt asleep watching kallis bat. Great that he is gone for good for this series.

So India's last wicket partnership proved real crucial huh!!!!

Isnt Botha banned from bowling his doosra after his action was questioned by a few officials ? (i am not sure about this, just questioning here - dont get all excited and shout back at me saffer :D)

Dont worry, as long as Prince stays there and ABV bats freely...we can get a 100 lead and then bowl them out for 76 again. :D Have faith saffer!

He was banned , but changed his action . He still bowls it and I think he still kind of throws it...just like bhaji .

ha ha ha . Even a hundred leads seem far , not that it would be enough anyway .

Nothing is ever too far for our team.

People are undersetimating Sehwag. He's better than a Michael Clarke or a Paul Harris. Much better actually.

Come on south africa...have a slog . You all going out playing the block shot . Pointless .

South Africa are in deep, deep trouble now with a lead of only 41 with already 6 wickets down.

Boucher gone . He's the only guy I thought could have saved it . The tail won't last long on this pitch...they may as well hit out and try their luck .

It's Mumbai 2004 all over again.

Sehwag pulling off a Michael Clarke.
Good job, curator! :19:

this is how sub continenetal picth shud be .....before mouthing off just check the score card ....both teams have scored 250+ in the first innings & the number of wickets pace bowlers have taken !

Hopeless batting from SA. They threw away a possible series win against India I reckon.

This is definitely another "Dark Side of the Moon" pitch. Obviously the curator felt huge pressure from the BCCI to prepare a wicket that would crumble from lunch on Day 1. Despite that SA had the better of the batting conditions and couldn't take advantage of it, so if they lose (which they look like they will) they only have themselves to blame. Some absolutely Z-grade batting from the Boers.

Exactly. Its just like Perth where Sehwag picked up 2 wickets.

Can the Boers get 100 lead? 100 might be enough if Steyn and Morkel can be disciplined and if they can get Sehwag early.

100 runs lead looks far away. Two more wickets to go. Even if SA gets 100 runs lead, one partnership from India will close the match.

A wicket where a daisy like Bhajji takes wickets cant be a serious cricket pitch, dude. :26:

Still counts as a 'win', nevertheless. Ganguly deserves the man of the match.

those extra 40 runs really hurt S.A . They could have had a lead of a 100 or so . Not a lot , but certainly would have helped . Anyway ...once again congrats India .

Come on, be serious. There were 3 matches and one wicket turned. And it wasnt as if it was a dead one for fast bowlers either to put SA out of the equation. SA won the toss and had the initial advantage so the wicket wasnt "doctored" to suit a particular team.

...ah, and I thought 2001 Eden Gardens wicket was a great wicket.
Nevermind!

This last wicket partnership could be a gamewinner for the Indians. SA need at least 150 runs to defend and I think they will do it tough to get to 210.

Sreesanth and Sharma's partnership looks like a matchwinner right here. If not for them SA would be defending 120 which may have been enough if they'd bowled well. But 62 is nothing to defend, I reckon India will knock these over for the loss of 1 or 2 wickets max.

I dont really get the approach adopted by SA batsmen and chances are thats what lost the match for them. They werent looking to seriously build a lead and would be seriously deluding themselves if they thought that this match can go anywhere close to a draw.

well....i cant think bout what kumble would have done to saffies on this pitch!! those faster ons with low bounce!

India will win this for the loss of no wickets. I'm off to bed as this is a done deal. G'nite all. Gratz to India for drawing the series! Bad luck Saffer.

India nearly a 3rd of the way to the target in the 3rd over with no loss of wickets.
