Kill me please or get rameez off the comm

It’s like when Praying tarawih after a while you tune out coz you can’t follow (be honest) and start thinking of other stuff, chiefly cricket. Have played many a blistering knock while praying the long form in Ramadan. Cuts, pulls, reverse sweeps the works

When rameez starts talking I tune out similarly. and start thinking of other things, chiefly cricket. For a cricket commentator I would say that’s job done.

Not sure where I was going with this...

I heard Muhammad Wasim in domestics, he’s not so bad. The knock on bazid is about the tone of his voice, which is secondary to what perspective if at all you bring to the game.
The thing with Bazid is about his tone which sounds very boring and If that he's not interested in anything he's talking about either.

As for Mohammad Wasim, I've heard him too but he tries a bit too much to impersonate an accent of English that isn't his same goes for Waqar too.

When he does commentary I would prefer to do taraweeh.

Ramiz one of the worst commentators in world Mark Nicholas asks him about other spin options apart from Shadab he is clueless and he is representing pakistan in SA to tell about pakistan players

He just knows 1 thing to say thats brilliant , he is amazing etc and synonyms of these words nothing techniqual to say and cluess about upcoming players and who is performing in domestic. One type some he was telling a foreigner that he is a new talent lets see how he plays the foreigner was telling him his record and all shame

Again, the criticism is rameez is basically clueless.

I am a 100% sure you can get rameez to argue that Pakistan has no talent and Pakistan has a lot of talent in the same sentence.

This innings from Imam is putting pressure on Babar who is playing close to 100 SR at the moment. Its ridiculous how limited Imam is.

Man imagine Haris was next instead if Hafeez :(

Or was playing instead of Malik. Hafeez atleast looks dangerous now a days on occasions while Malik doesnt look threatening at all

Average 1st innings score since the start of 2009 at Centurion is 254 (excluding a reduced 29 over game).

Been several 300+ scores in the last few years so Pakistan should look to get a move on.

Imam needs to up the ante just a little. SR in the 50s simply won't do. Should look to manufacture a boundary or 2 and bridge bthe gap

Just isn’t finding his feet today, happens with a lot of batsmen but Imam definitely needs some dependable release shots.

This two just needs to keep batting. Specially Babar who is looking good so far.

It's because there's no interest in domestic cricket at all as these ex players just want to be involved internationally but won't bother to go and watch or keep themselves in tune to who the best domestic performers are or what's happening there.

If you saw his innings of 120 odd against Zimbabwe, you would know how limited Imam is in terms of scoring shots. He was scoring singles when reached 120 that day.

I can watch Babar bat all day long.
He is very pleasing to the eye when on song.

mashaAllah

Yaar Imam

Not only playing dots but also missing out on half volleys

The most fluent Babar knock in over a year. Needs to conver it into three figures.

Yeah I just meant Haris at #4.

One of Hafeez/Malik should play at 5, I prefer Malik, but if Hafeez can be consistent, then it doesn't really matter tbh.

This is XI in the 3rd ODI is close to Pak's best. Just need to slot in Haris at 4 and maybe Shan over Imam, but that would be the ideal XI for the WC.

I don't mind too much. If he sticks around he will up his s/r. Don't want him to throw it away and possibly set off a collapse.

He is still not a finished product, he is 23 and has shown a lot of positives.

Lack of shots is a problem which hopefully is eradicated soon. His technique is playing with a straight bat without much of risk which is good for an opener but in modern era you need some attacking shots in the armoury.

If and when he develops that, he will be a dangerous player. Even with all his deficiencies I still believe he is the player to watch out for Pak in WC along with Babar and Shaheen

Imam doing really well to save this test match! bravo and also at a sr of 50+

Exactly if he has a good series here and if Shan comes good with his new found shots in the armoury both will be one of the players to watch

Its lack of release shots which means fielders come in to stop the singles. He needs to develop some release shots.

This is a good pitch for batting. He'll get his SR up to 80 by the end but that is not good enough by any means. Babar also plays slowly for the most part but here he's able to go at a 90 SR. We will end up a good 30 runs short if Imam continues like this

Imam is painful to watch

Him hitting boundaries in different ways has to massively improve

Lol most people here seems to be college kids, no patience and little game awareness, Imam is clearly struggling with timing so doing the next best thing, grinding it out instead of throwing it away like Fakhar the hack.

imam just needs 3 boundaries and his SR will jump

Yes and our batsmen dont realize that and throw it away sometimes. You can always target a bowler which you find easier and your SR and team RR will be up again.

I have seen Rohit and Dhawan having much slower starts but they take risks at the right time. Here we just saw Fakhar throw it away after just 3 good overs.

Faf understands Imam only has one shot for singles. Plug that and you can kill the entire innings

Its a batting pitch. Playing at a strike rate of 50 odd doesn't help at all. Anything less than 300 on the pitch will be easy to chase. You cannot just stand there and do absolutely nothing.

For Pakistan to have good show in WC, a Babar needs to fire. Plus they need to bring Shaun in ODI, he is the only other guy who looks solid against pace. Picking techniqically solid players is crucial. Others can bat around them. But they have to be front and center. We need to win atleast 2 if not 3 of top 5 teams to have chance at SF, they all going to throw quality pacers at us. Hacks and pathetic seniors are not going to work, you need these two to fire to win.

Exactly Imam is grinding it out and total credit to him even when he knows he is struggling.

Welcome you are a good addition to PP.
