Big match for bangladesh.

Can we draw or eve win the most important game of the year for us? The pitch looks green so will be a really good experience for our players because we really dont play much on green tops.

If we played the same XI as we did in the last match, we probably would end up in the losing side. But luckily, tamim is fit to play and we all know his ability to score runs even on green decks. On the other hand, veteran Abdur razzak will be available for selection and will replace the miserable Elias Sunny who cant bat, bowl or field. Hopefully rubel hossain will play instead of shahadat a.k.a sharapova da grunter.
 
If this is another flat pitch then SL curators should be hanged and Icc should appoint their own curators
 
SSC may be another runfest....Sanga to have another couple of tons :p
 
How many tons does Sangakkara have against BD and Zimbabwe? Is he the new :sachin ?
 
seems another run fest ....anyways hope sir ashrafull gets his double ton this time......last time my prediction failed by 10 runs :(

If Sri Lanka can't even beat Bangladesh in a test series at home then they will have hit a new all time low.

All the pressure is on them.
 
Bangladesh after drawing in a Test match away from home without the help of rain against a top 7 side was praise worthy, they should follow it up with another good outing in this match. all the best to them :)
 
Disgraceful outfield. Haven't seen anything like this for last decades or so...
 
These two need to carry On ....... My opinion is that If BD can score 400 here , Draw is likely.
 
BD should look not loose more than 3 - 4 wickets by stumps here and get to 260 at least.
 
Pathetic decision by the umpire. mominul haq was looking really good and umpire gave him caught behind although there was no deviation or any sound :facepalm:

Some guy who works in a garage. He goes to every bangladesh match and recently became very popular.

The guy worked very hard to get so far, must salute him!! His story is more touching than that of the Indian guy.
 
4th wicket down for Srilanka for 69 runs :p

This is Bangladesh's best chance to beat lanka
 
Bangla playing some good cricket. Game is nicely poised atm. Gazi looks a very good prospect. A few of the young bats look quite decent too.
 
Solid 100 by Sanga under some pressure.
 
Top 100 by Chandi as well. Matthews take note.

I bet Sanga would end up as the third highest run getter and century maker by the time he retires from international cricket. One of the finest and most elegant batsman we had the chance to follow in the modern times.

I think he'll run out of time.

After this test match SL don't play tests for a long time. They were meant to play WIs in the summer but the tests have been scrapped from that tour.

So Sangakarra will be 36 years old before he plays another test. And he'll need circa 3000 runs and 9/10 centuries to achieve the aforementioned.
 
Someone needs to tell SL bats that this is a Test match. Giving their wickets away playing stupid shots far too often these days. What has happened to getting in and then cashing in. :iqasim
 
Can't wait till the ODIs and T20 of this tour, I feel B'desh can give SL some serious competition there.

Yeah. His 192 at Hobart was a brilliant knock ended by horrible umpiring. A noticable(though not massive) blot on his career is a sub 40 average in India. Though that may have to do with a red-hot Zaheer Khan.

He can of course change that by touring India again. Won't even need to convince SLCB much :yk
 
Game is evenly poised atm. Should be a good game of Test cricket.

Highest opening partnership by any visiting team in this ground...:) that's quiet low. Hope Ban Carries on as they are doing...
 
Impressive batting from Tamim and Jahrul so far. If they go on to convert this start into a big total and subsequently saving this test then that will give tremendous boost to the development of Bangladesh as a Test cricket nation.
 
SL have such a toothless attack these days.. No more Vaas's and Murlis :(
 
SL attack has to be the worst out of the top 8 teams. It's all Herath. Eranga looks good but got a long way to go. Wela is always injured. Kula is not Test material when there's not much assistance. Rest are not even worth mentioning.

It's more about good batting than bad bowling. Even these SL bowlers were pretty effective against Ausies recently...

Good bowlers find a way to get wickets regardless of the quality of batting.

Different wickets in Aus obviously with more in it for the quicks. Good batting by Bangla standards but the only decent bowlers here are Herath and Eranga. Even then Eranga wasn't given the new ball LOL. Not sure wth Lakmal and Kula is doing in the team.

Even if we lose this match we will lose it after offering a lot of assistance. We lead by 6 runs with 2 wickets down. So our score is like 6-2. But what comes in our favour is the fact that Srilanka will have to bat on the 5th day and we know how dangerous that is.

Dilshan has bowled better than everyone else than herath. 2nd best bowler of this match so far :asif

Infact, it seems that Bangladeshi pace bowlers have bowled better than Lankan quicks.
 
absolutely needless shot from jahurul islam. Dont understand why we always persists with him. He has played so many matches across different format and has only 1 50 in his interntional career

I would dearly like to see anamul play in the ODI series. Much better than this hack Jahurul Islam
 
Srilankan fielding has been rubbish so far. How could he drop that? :))
 
Gazi will be a handful as well when SL come into bat. Been very impressed with him. Looks a great find. Decent with the bat too.
 
Oooo looks like Monimul got away with that one. Fair enough though got a harsh one in the 1st innings.
 
Dont understand the reason to have nasir batting an no.7 His average is better than that of ashraful's and riad's combined.

someone kick our VC captain out of the team, pathetic player. Should not even be in our A-team, he cannot perform while batting up-the order.
 
Yeah Nasir looks a good prospect. Should bat up the order.
