The 2nd Test between Pakistan (408 & 304/9) & NZ (449 & 277/5d) ends in a draw - Series drawn 0-0

Pakistan looks to Babar Azam to hit the big hundred tomorrow and take them to a draw - but this could well be over by lunch as well!

So what will it be?

If Pakistan wants to win this match they have to come out all guns blazing. Last test was saved by Sarfraz due to his positive approach. He started attacking and forced NZ to bowl negatively and in the process they lost a lot of overs.

Babar's captaincy future will be decided tomorrow. It really is all on the line.

I believe NZ took the last 5 Pakistan wickets for 23 runs in the 2nd innings and now 2 more for 0 runs

Effectively they have taken 7 Pakistani wickets for 23 runs on this wicket

They have found a way to not make this track not look as flat as Pakistan have made it look with their bowling

Kiwi wicket taking form is red hot right now. Once they get to Agha, the last 3 will tumble like a pack of cards against Sodhi

0/2!

It is a football score, totally ridiculous!

Soul shattering to enter the dressing room at 0-2 overnight.

Babar might as well go for the win and play it like an ODI instead of hoping to build an innings

Kiwi’s game to lose this IMO

Considering how defensive Babar is, he will send down nightwatchman and not bat himself.

There is not a ounce of captaincy left in this team.

Got a weird feeling that we will see a Southee 5fer tomorrow

The Kiwis have made this game interesting by setting a chaseable target. Amazing spirit shown by the visitors

319 in 85 overs , wont say that its chaseable @3.75 runs per over. Bowl wicket to wicket , odd ball wont bounce or bounce too much. Pakistans innings will be over before tea.

93 over to get 319@3.43 ,this is chaseable total .

Lost 2 wickets in 3 overs pushed Pakistan back.
Otherwise would have been a day to look forward to with Babar Sarfraz Imam Shan trying to go for their shots and pressing for chase. Abdullah and Saud would have played safety roles in case of things not going well.

Pakistan should go for it, what's their to lose ? Pakistan can't qualify for WTC, this is the last series of the current Test Cycle which will have no relevance in the next cycle. Could be a good confidence booster to finally win a home series.

100 runs each session gets Pakistan 300 runs, then have additional 20 runs to be scored.

The Kiwis would look at Pakistans other 4th innings this season and presume there would
a) be no real intent to chase and
b) easily scared off by a wicket or two even if they did.

This night watchman tactic almost never works for us. If the confidence is so low in Shan, why even select him?

Expecting babar big ton to seal a victory or a close draw.
Babar has to step in.

There are no real demons. Ball comes at a comfortable height at very slow pace. Easy to draw the match.

Pakistan need to reach 100 before Lunch.

200 before Tea and assess the situation in the last session, depending upon the wickets lost. Certainly is possible.

Not that straight-forward.

Ball is keeping low, see Shafique's dismissal and there's decent turn for Sodhi.

Hope there is a result in this match and not end up being draw. Babar likes to have a result.

If you play the ball on merit you can survive and even score runs. Only factor that may influence is pressure.

Shockingly irresponsible shot by Imam. He should be dropped for the next game for playing such an irresponsible shot knowing full well Sodhi was spinning the ball out of the rough.

This is litmus test for babar. If he can save Pakistan here he will slowly begin to change his image of just scoring soft runs.

Sodhi has struggled against right handers but google against Babar can always work

That looked like an ego shot. After the 4 byes that beat Imam comprehensively he has been over aggressive against Ish sodhi.

So much for Imam being a good pressure player. He just **** himself under the pressure. Abrar can only dream of spinning the ball that much

The Karachi crowd has already predicted the outcome. So they didn't bother even showing up on the final day.

Opportunity for Babar to prove he's a world class batsmen.

Nothing about ego, he didn't back his defense to survive.

Ish got one to massively turn and beat him previous over.

Sodhi has been quality and Abrar has been rubbish after the first innings of Multan

Imam's version of bazball is worse than China copy of Gucci.

In test cricket, you have to respect a bowler on top, you can't always hit your way out of trouble everytime.

Lack of faith in his defence

Yes. That is a tell tale sign. He realized Sodhi was a threat. Wanted to hit him out of the attack. It is hard against leggies as they get bounce, turn. You need to be extremely skillful to take on leggies on 5th day pitch where there is a bit of turn.

He was finding it hard to deal with the turn that Sodhi was getting, so decided to charge and disturb his length.

But failed to execute it correctly.

Southee leading by example

Nah, it was the right thing to do. Hit ish off his lines and lengths, he would have eventually been knocked over. He doesn't have the defense to survive against a ball turning that much.

Amount of dross Sodhi bowls can only make him world-class of full-tosses/half-trackers. He lands a few balls on the right lengths and our batsmen wet themselves. Made to look world-class by some terrible batting.
Against better teams, he would be going at at least 5rpo!

I am sorry but you can't have such shockingly low bounce on a Day 5 pitch, that is not fair to the batting side at all. Rubbish pitch

Southee racing in compared to his usual standards.

Ball is doing tricks. Cant see pakistan winning or drawing this one.
Will turnoff updates if babar falls

Hoping for a Babar miracle today but stats don't support it
