but he forced Siddle to bowl short against Prior which resulted in a wicket,don't you think that was good captaincy,good move at least.

Yaar, I celebrated when India got bowled out last night. I celebrated when England won the Ashes last series. I like to root for the underdog but its great to see you get put in your place. Clearly, I struck a nerve as you seem very defensive. :sami
 
Great spell from MJ. Not only he got wickets but more importantly, he bowled like a bowler who deserves wickets. And everyone chipped too, which is fantastic,

Moral of the story, make sporting pitch. Aussies no longer have Warne and McGrath to knock oppositions out on flat tracks.. These bowlers need some assistance from the pitch and nothing wrong in that.

No it wasn't. It was a lucky wicket! The wicket was taken in spite of the tactics. I'm pretty sure Dubya and Siddle weren't expecting a bottom edge onto the wicket as a result of chin music.

nah mate, you just continue focusing on your struggles to tie test series with New Zealand and stay above West Indies in the rankings, and the best four teams will continue to contest their quality test series over the next few days :D

The Siddle wicket was ludicrous I reckon. He has looked pretty woeful since the first day in Brisbane. Not sure I would keep him for Boxing Day.
 
oh yes, the game has resumed. good start from Anderson and Tremlett. Needs quick wickets early on to create any real pressure though.

Don't worry. I do focus on our weakness. I focus on our strengths. And likewise for other teams, don't see anywhere where it says I cannot watch/enjoy other series.

No one expects that but it is the build up that leads to such a dismissal. The build up is key.
 
I don't know if it was a case of English being too confident of their own ability or underestimating the Aussies or Johnson really bowling that well but I was delighted to see the scoreline when I woke up.

Things are much more interesting this way.

But this wicket was needed. Otherwise this series would have been boring.

Watson is under Pressure. He is Off form since Series Against Pakistan @ England. As He is a Make-shift Opener, I don't think He is a Long term solution for Aussie Cricket.
 
Anderson is kind of exposing Watson as an opener here. Beating the bat and turning him square.

he is not the easiest bloke to like for sure. miserable-looking, stodgy player. but a very effective one who could just be the next captain for Australia.

I think the chin music shook Prior up. Normally he would have pulled that ball for four, not got a bottom edge.
 
I like Hughes, but he cannot handle Tremlett. at all.
 
I hope we see good Finn and not useless Finn. last thing we need is giving these guys a start after tying them down to 2 an over.
 
I agree with Robert, chin music set up the dismissal. Mat prior looked really uncomfortable out there, he had no clue.. Would be definitely harsh not to credit bowler and captain for the dismissal. And, mind you, Peter was sending thunderbolts. Clocking around 90mp/h.

He has had a good year. check out the day 1 review thread for my analysis. but no doubt he has really struggled on this pitch at times.
 
Tremlett is a Strong Guy, But His Bowling Action does not look so strong.. But He is able to extract extra Bounce off the Pitch which works effectively for him.
 
Ian Healy is taking an interview of Johnson.. ' It was a Wake up call for me ' - Johnson..
