leatherface58 did you see my post where I suggested that just before Cena is about to win his 16th Championship have Ric Flair interfere and shoot him, then he blows the smoke from his pistol and proceeds to strut while WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!ing all over the ring. Am I in tune with your vision to boost the ratings sir :)))
Okay that's a bit too far. :)))

What are you an ecw fan? Dem die cena die chants lol.

But Naitch poking Paige in the eye to let Charlotte retain would be gold.

I like how Naitch is portrayed as a quasi-heel. He is not outwardly evil but he has definite heel traits.

And why hasn't Owens joined the league of nations yet? Maybe Charlotte can join too considering she is a heel, well almost.

:))) they could fake it leathers and have blood everywhere etc the audience would be in absolute shock; the next RAW everyone is out to remember Cena and pay tribute to him; we have good old H put over Cena as one of the greats all teared up etc and how the nature boy has been arrested. But then all of a sudden Flair interupts the tribute and has Vinny Mac with him at gun point, says to Hunter Vacate the World Title belt and had him the belt officially recognising him as the 17th time World Champion. HHH gives in to the request; but then Naitch also forces HHH to hand him the ownership of the company giving him complete control. During this period Flair forms a new faction of heels consisting of KO, Russev, Cesaro, Fin Balor and Bray Wyatt who run rampant burying every babyface and winning all the championships; at one point Flair is seen sexually assaulting stephanie whom he forces to work as his personal PA while Flair has also suspended HHH.

During this time Shane Mcmahon returns! he manages to get his hands on Flair but this new heel faction is able to destroy him, Bray Wyatt is seen setting Shane on fire and throwing him from the top of the WWE HQ buildings as the cameras cut. Ric Flair continues to sexually assault steph and is seen slapping her etc and forcing her to make him sandwiches it just gets worse every week as they bury everyone left, right and centre....it gets to a point where Flair takes Steph to the ring and forces her to strip but as she is about to *DUUUUH, DUUUH DUUUUHH IT's ALL ABOUT THE GAME AND HOW YOU PLAY IT* HHH returns! he manages to save stephanie and help her get away but is beaten by the new heel faction, while the beat down is happening *DONG* The Undertaker RETURNS! surely this man of great honour is finally going to end all the misery, as Taker enters the ring every one sought of backs away from beating up HHH...SWERVE! Undertaker gives HHH a tombstone PileDriver BAH GAWD as the audience is even more stunned then when the streak ended. Undertaker immediately declares his allegiance with the Heel Faction. Flair continues to be a dastardly heel and with Taker by his side there is no stopping him.....but slowly Taker gets everyone in Flair's heel faction to turn against each other, a bit of infighting begins to develop and while all of this is happening Taker is able to take ownership of the WWE from Flair! it was a trap! Taker then manages to get the entire locker room to beat down on Flair and his faction but Flair and the heel faction get the upper hand; while this brawl is happening *JOHN CENA THEME PLAYS* John Cena RETURNS! After DEFEATING DEATH ITSELF! John Cena doesn't appear in his fruity pebble colours but in plain black having developed an anti-hero like persona as he remains a face which mimicks heel behaviour, he beats on Flair and his heel faction managing to clear the ring while Flair escapes; it is announced that Flair and Cena will be main-eventing Wrestlemania for the World Title in a steel cage match (mainly to prevent the heel faction from interferring) After a 5 star Classic, Cena is able to make Flair tap to the Figure 4 Leg-Lock to win his 16th World Championship.

Bah GAWD WHAT A SLOBBER KNOCKER. I toned down the angle specially for you leathers, hope you like it.

I use to be an ECW fan; sure they were pioneers of the attitude era but lets no forget the creativity displayed in terms of the storylines and characters; Heyman was a visionary and we saw him truly flourish as the head of creative for smackdown during the early 2000's.

Thing is, on paper Owens is absolutely perfect for the League of Nations. But thing is Sheamus is the leader of the faction, so how do we justify Owens as a memeber? if we want KO to be just another guy in that faction then it wouldn't be a good idea to include him. Owens would be more suited to a leadership role but being another guy would just hinder him. The aim of the faction though is to make the champion sheamus look strong and give him credibility, the other guys can get over to individually but that's the premise of the League at the moment and personally I rather not have KO in it as just another guy. Am cool with him elevating the IC championship for now because it needs a great deal of attention.

The motivation for Charlotte's heel turn could have been executed so much better but it will be a role which she will thrive on. They could have her join the league would make a great fit providing they book her like Chyna

I wonder where they were going with the Vinny Mac death angle, they cancelled it because Benoit died for real a week later.

Lol the build up is too damn intriguing. I'm sure this will get even better ratings than the episode where Eugene was buried by the Sudanese girls :)))

"The Molana's Daughters" :))) :))) The heel faction formed by RD and Shazzy Bear, what could possibly top that? stay tuned :akhtar

As noted, this week’s edition of WWE Raw, which was the go-home show for WWE TLC this weekend, averaged 3.054 million viewers, which is down from last week’s 3.17 million viewership average.

The final rating for this week’s show was a 2.15 rating, also down from last week’s 2.21.

This week’s show set a new record-low rating for WWE Raw since the show moved permanently to three hours. The previous low was the 11/23/15 edition of Raw, which finished with a 2.16 rating. This week’s show is also the lowest rated episode of Raw since September of 1997.

Markhor How does Vinces mind work? will there be a shake up? I personally doubt it; the WWE stock value has not suffered is the excuse being used by NBC and WWE to defend the poor ratings

Apparently there'd already been a creative shakeup, guess it hasn't worked :))

Whilst obviously the live ratings are great, there are some mitigating factors:

1) People just watch less television now than they used to. There are so many more channels out there, and more outlets of entertainment. Kids nowadays would rather spend their Monday nights on Twitter or Instagram than watching TV. Hell, I rarely watch TV nowadays.

2) These live ratings don't represent 100% of the Raw audience as so many people now record the show on DVR - I don't know whether these ratings factor those in or not. I'd like to see numbers that also look at not just live ratings but DVR, YouTube views, people watching via on-demand streaming or sites like Hulu etc to get a more accurate assessment.

3) Raw ratings have got lower and lower since the Attitude Era yet WWE's domestic TV contracts have been sold for more and more money every time. So what do they care if ratings are falling or not - they're still making money, infact the last TV deal went for double than the previous one. There'll only be a big change in direction if their pockets are hit, which they're not right now as merchandise sales are up as are live event revenues.

4) They have the Network. Even if USA Network throws them off the air (which won't happen), they'd still have a home for their programming. They have exclusive control over almost the entire history of North American pro wrestling so they could do nothing but release nostalgia based DVDs and still stay afloat ! Also WWE recently reported that they’ve completely replaced the profits from PPV buys that were lost when they moved them to the Network, that's huge.

So I think we can't just look at ratings in isolation. They're bad compared to what it used to be in the 1990s but society and television viewing habits have changed since then so falling ratings is to be expected. You have to look at the whole picture. They're not going out of business any time soon.

http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2015/1209/604607/wrestling-legend-still-hospitalized/

Wrestling legend "The Dynamite Kid" Tom Billington is still hospitalized in the UK after suffering a stroke six weeks ago. Billington's condition is very serious and while his speech has improved since the stroke, he's in worse condition physically. Billington, who turned 57 this past weekend, reportedly thought he was in the ring calling spots for a match with Abdullah the Butcher at one point while hospitalized.

I'm amazed he's still alive.

These are all great points in terms of WWE staying afloat and their business in the grand scheme of things not being effected but the low ratings which don't factor in things like DVR, Youtube, On-Demand Streaming etc should still be a major concern; The Network does now show RAW replays it only shows PPV's. I say it should still be a major concern because in addition to all the platforms people have access to, the ratings have not been this low in a long time.

It's a reflection of a poor product and while WWE will continue to survive, losing viewers is still affecting their business but obviously not on a level where they'd go out of business but it's something to be concerned about. There have also been reports that at live events fans are starting to walk out before the show even ends and I've been to house shows myself where there are entire sections completely tapered off! Also, part-timers will not be around forever and the way the current roster is booked it is difficult to see a huge star emerge.

Am shocked to. Sorry but I can't help but laugh at "thought he was in the ring calling spots for a match with Abdullah" :))) :))) :)))

A pioneer of pro-wrestling which doesn't get much sympathy given the stuff that comes out of his mouth :)) Honestly though I can't think of anyone associated with the Hart Family which doesn't have a chip on their shoulder

Look it wasn't perfect but that entire segment was hilarious :))) I found it really funny and I can see what they're trying to do, it's a PG product and Roman has to be the new Cena unfortunately. What would I have done differently? I wouldn't make the whole thing so goofy to start off with, there are Kids which make up a big percentage of their fans I get that but Roman can still be over with them without being a clown. Firstly, I would never overly script Sheamus, the guy can talk so just give him a few pointers and he'd go out there and deliver every time; Romans lines should be limited and he should never talk so much, they should also cut down on all the goofy stuff. Roman can still be popular by being someone who is always serious, says a few words and beats you up.

shaz619 this is what I think should happen at the Rumble since Brock's been confirm to participate in it

Brock and Reigns are the last two in the ring with no.30 yet to come

Bryan comes at no.30, and eliminates Brock. The crowd goes beserk, everyone is finally getting what they were demanding for the last 3 years then suddenly

out comes Wyatt and eliminate Bryan making Reigns the winner again

Honestly though in the confines of the current era, someone like Roman is a lot more marketable and someone like him will always be pushed as THE man in the company no one else got a chance but obviously there is potential for some great heels to come through but look at Bray he's been stuck in the shuffle for a long time; have you been to any house shows? there were so many family's with children they make up a big portion of the audience. That was only the second show I been to but Adil_94 will back me up; their main demograph are the families and kidies unfortunately so WWE will always try to create someone goofy to get over with them. I personally feel that we can achieve a middle ground but WWE don't feel that way

Reigns won't win again :)) and fans have not wanted Bryan to eliminate Lesnar in a Royal Rumble for the last three years where did you get that from Eugene :))) Adil_94 lol.

Lesnar is going to win the Rumble and it is still going to be pretty epic, him crushing everyone etc but I wish Bray wins. Bryan said that his pro-wrestling career in the WWE could be over, it's possible we may see him in NJPW I reckon or maybe Lucha. There's a good chance he will end up in TNA to but I hope he don't go there

I clearly meant mark wanting Bryan to win the rumble

anyho I don't think Bryan will leave WWE for the ring of jobbers. He will be appointed to do other stuff, its really sad that if his career is truly over. I guess Total Diva did something for once real

Lmao am just going by what you said.

lol if you know Bryan well enough you wouldn't be saying that, Bryan doesn't mind being a trainer and helping wrestlers behind the scenes but he is so passionate for wrestling that it would burn him watching people wrestle and not being able to get his hands dirty or get in the ring. Bryan has always wanted to wrestle since he was 5 years old and honestly he'd do it for free if it came to it! he wouldn't mind doing it infront of 10 people for low pay, that's the kind of wrestler Bryan is one of the greatest technicians ever. So if WWE doctors do not clear him then am certain he will go back to NJPW to ROH. Thing is though WWE are allowing Tommy Dreamer to wrestle despite his concussion history.......anyway we'll have to see what happens, maybe WWE and Bryan are keeping things low key because they have huge plans in the future...

Daniel Bryan made a big statement about his career standing in WWE while in Singapore for a WWE promotional event.

Asked about his ongoing concussion recovery, Bryan was quoted by a Singapore newspaper: “I think it could be the end of my career in WWE, but I don’t think it will be the end of my career.”

Bryan has reportedly not been cleared by WWE’s medical team to return to the ring. However, he has said in past interviews that his own independent doctor cleared him to return.

“I could find another passion, but it would just be sad because this is what I have been most passionate about since I was five,” Bryan said.

The article noted that Bryan has been training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu while waiting to get clearance from WWE doctors. UFC fighter Ben Henderson recently noted that Bryan is actually quite good.

“He was out with some injuries in WWE,” Henderson told Sporting News. “He came to our gym and moved up to blue belt in jiu-jitsu under my coach John Crouch. Every time I go in there, he’s working his butt off. I heard he was pretty strong and actually surprised me with how technical he is. A lot of guys have a hard time learning all those techniques. I heard he was really great at being able to use his technique and not relying on his strength. He’s smooth and does jiu-jitsu really well.”

At the end of the day, there’s also schoolteaching, as evidenced by Bryan’s passion for the environment and helping students built a terrarium while in Singapore.

Greetings,
My name is Frank Mustari. I’ve been a PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING fan since I was six years old. I am now 25. For as long as I can remember, I would watch wrestling on Monday nights with the upmost anticipation. It was a religion of sorts to me. School and wrestling were what my adolescent life revolved around.

As I grew up, wrestling remained a vital facet of my life, but I began to explore other forms of entertainment that appealed to me. With the current day and age, you can find new content that you never knew existed, and become easily captivated by it. Despite all of my new ventures in entertainment, PRO WRESTLING always held the #1 spot in my heart despite its common shortcomings. I always blindly stayed loyal because it’s been ingrained within me.

I’ve devoted much of my life to this form of art known simply as pro wrestling. I regularly attend your live events & have been for many, many years. On average, I attend about 30-40 live events per year across the country. I’ve attended 10 consecutive Wrestlemania’s, numerous Royal Rumbles, Summerslams, RAWs, Smackdown’s, NXT’s, and other specials you have ran. When I attend these events, I always try to sit ringside. I currently have 50+ ringside collectible chairs from PPV’s that I have attended. I love the feeling of being within the action. I’m on the pulse of your product. It’s a feeling you can’t get at any other sporting event. I’ve paid premium prices for said tickets, as well. Prices that have inflated drastically over the years. To put it in perspective, my Wrestlemania 27 ringside ticket was $900 face value. The face value price on my Wrestlemania 31 ringside seat was $2400 including all the fees & taxes. That’s nearly a 300% mark-up in four years. I understand inflation, but in an economy that’s been getting better, but still struggling nonetheless, a mark-up of such drastic proportions screams greed. Your live events, better known as house shows used to be a HUGE draw for me. I loved the interactions & the lack of time constraints on the matches and performers. They have free will to test the waters & try new things. The best part of those house shows back in the day were the affordable prices. A ringside seat for a show of that nature was on average, roughly $65 for a ringside seat. Present day? About $120 for a ringside seat. Again, nearly double the price. So if a family of 4 wants to sit ringside and see their heroes, they are shelling out nearly $500 for three hours of entertainment, not including any other expenses at the show like parking, food/drinks & merchandise. It’s sad. But hey, you have sheep like me who’ll pay it, so why not make the money to spite yourselves?

I have seen it all with my own two eyes in person. And despite all of that, I’ve had some of the best experiences & memories of my life from your product. I am forever grateful for it. I’ve not ashamed I’ve been brought to tears while watching your product because I was EMOTIONALLY INVESTED in it. Your product has been an escape for me, where during your live shows, nothing outside of those arena walls matter. If I’m going through a rough patch in my life, I know that WWE can help me to forget that, even if it is just for three hours. I don’t regret a any of the money I have spent on your product (and I have spent MANY dollars), because I have always supported your product. When you enjoy or love something, you support it. I have even gone as far to have done NUMEROUS unpaid media opportunities in support of YOUR company. I can safely say I have spent five figure sums of money on your product. I have defended your company and the stigma attached to it my entire life. I’m just one singular person, meaningless in the grand eyes of your company, but I’m surely not the only one who can vouch for all these things. That’s how much I want to believe in your company.

That’s how much WE want to believe in your company.

As I said earlier, as I was growing up, I couldn’t be any more excited to watch wrestling on Monday nights.Recently, however, I’m struggling to find the same child-like desire that I felt for many years.

The ignorance of who your fan-base is, is alarming. The blatant mishandling of popular talent is frightening. The ineptitude to put together three hours of exciting programming is disappointing. I get it. It’s an extremely tough gig to produce as much content as you do on a weekly basis, but as your FLAGSHIP show, you should be putting more of an emphasis on what your viewer wants, rather than what YOU want. I’m sure you’ve written off the TV ratings dip with some sort of excuse. “It’s football season.” Well, for your information, it’s just that, it’s an excuse. I was one of those people who decided not to watch the show. It was the first time I willingly did not watch your show in my life as a fan of your product. The following week, I DVRed your flagship show. I began to watch, and turned it off halfway through because it was more a chore to watch than anything. There was nothing for me to emotionally invest in. Nothing that captivated me. Nothing that made me want to see what happens next. I had an opportunity to go see your next pay-per-view, TLC, and I respectfully turned it down because honestly, I just don’t care about it currently and and it saddens me to say that because I know how unbelievably amped I used to get for your live events. Didn’t matter what city, what show, or who was performing, I knew I was getting the best bang for my buck.

Now? I don’t feel that way anymore.

I must stress that I do not blame this on your talent, I blame it on the people behind the scenes who are too ignorant to see that they are alienating their fan-base one week at a time. I understand this is a business, and the main goal of a business is to make money. However, making money shouldn’t be your ONLY goal. You have your major sponsors like Mattel, Toys R Us, Coca-Cola, Burger King, etc. The money is there & will always be there, however, at this rate, the fans may not be.

I’m speaking not only for myself, but for a frustrated fan-base in pleading, PLEASE, please give us something to sink our teeth into. Something interesting, something we haven’t seen before, something for us to get behind & to invest ourselves and suspend our disbeliefs again. Stop force-feeding content we don’t want. We like when things develop organically. Don’t continue to try to fit a square into a circle because you’re afraid to admit you’re wrong. We’ll forgive you eventually, as long as you provide with the entertainment that we yearn for.

But for now, you’re driving your fans away in droves. Not just any fans, the fans, like myself, who have spent many hard earned dollars on your product. The fans who have spent countless number of hours watching your product. The fans who genuinely care about the state of your company, despite is not truly having a stake in it. Your fan base is devoted, but we’ve had it. Enough is enough. Don’t expect us to watch because we are ingrained to watch. The signs are there, the viewership is down. Live events sales are dropping. Interest in the product is at an ALL-TIME low & mainstream interest is virtually non-existent. Soon, the stockholders will take note, and that’s the last thing you want to have happen.

I attended your most recent PPV event, Survivor Series. I’ve never seen such indifference leaving a building for one of your shows. It wasn’t that it was a bad show, it was just the realization was setting in to your loyal fans that change isn’t anywhere near. We aren’t happy. I can assure you your talent is unhappy. I can also assume your other employees are unhappy. Make it a fun environment for everyone involved again. Recapture that magic.

Hire people who are passionate for the product. I’ve heard too many instances of people in powerful positions within your company, that don’t love the business the way they should. Inject your company with new blood. Get people working for your company that want to be there. People that won’t consider it a job. People that won’t just clock in and clock out. Hire people who care, and probably care TOO much for their own good. You’re making enough money to bring some new people on board. I’m not speaking for myself, I’m speaking for TALENTED people that I know would bust their ass & give everything they have to better your company. Everyone can learn from each other. The new and the old. Your current staff & potential new employees. Maybe some fresh brains, eyes & ears are what your company needs to breathe new life into the company. The little people have ideas, too, you know. Some good, some bad, but at the end of the day, we just want to make this a better place & product as we grow older and for our kids, and our kid’s kids, and so on and so forth.

I understand I can’t speak for everyone, but I have a decent understanding of where the general consensus opinion of your current product stands. I also understand you’ve had some unforeseen injuries, departures, & other misfortunes occur along the way. However, the product was long stale before those events occurred. Perhaps I’m emotionally rambling. Perhaps, I’m not. No matter what, I’ve never seen so many people speak out against the current state of your product whether it’s die-hard fans, people within the business, journalists, or the casual viewer.

I also understand this may fall onto empty eyes & ears, but I sincerely hope I am heard.

Pro wrestling is meant to be fun. Lately, it’s been everything but that.

It’s not hard to do wrestling right. You’ve done it before and you can do it again. Just don’t wait to pull the trigger. Don’t expect our blind loyalty to always shine through. And DON’T insult our intelligence.

Do NOT take US for granted. Without us, there’s no YOU.

A concerned fan,

Frank Mustari

WWE has realised it can survive without it's hardcore fans; the casuals drive the business in this era. They throw the hardcore fans a bone in what is the NXT and the WWE Network to keep them quiet a bit but no way can they ever influence change; the reason why Bryan main-evented mania was because the hardcore fans and casuals joined hands to influence change. Bryan was over with the casuals, marks and smarks; WWE were left no choice.

The only thing i remember of Brian Kendrick is when he showed up in front of Stephanie wearing his birthday suit.

shaz619 oh yea - the PPV is tonight :afaq

Yea the shows have just been so rubbish since all the injuries hot that I've hardly kept track. I think shazzy bear is probably busy with exams.

Koi nahi - inshallah will pick up the prediction competition again at RR
#GreenRoars - please change the thread title and remove the bit about the prediction comp.

Thanks bro :)

Unfortunately been busy last couple of weeks with it coming to the end of the year at work so havent been able to put one together.

InshAllah will resume the prediction comp from Rumble.

Or I can do one now - but that will give people like 6 hours to get their predictions in. What do you guys say?

went to sleep after the Tag Team ladder match, didn't want to ruin the night for me :afridi

have been hearing a lot of good stuff about this PPV, will watch it now...ufff straight out a no where WWE brings a 5 Star PPV

Reigns unleashed was so good to watch. Crowd went nuts when he went towards the table. Dude got the biggest pop of his life. There are still some whiners from IWC but anti hero Reigns is perfect. He doesn't need a heel turn. He needs to be a one man shield now. Correcting the injustices by attacking anyone and everyone.

I fell asleep at the start of the Wyatt vs Team Extreme match missed that and the Ambrose vs Owens match. Ended up waking up for the main event the Reigns Sheamus was a slow burner there were some very good spots during the match. But the match was wrestled at a very slow sluggish pace so it waa hard for the crowd and fans to get invested in it all the way through. Reigns post match assault on Hunter was epic though showcased him as a vicious badass who had snapped after all his near misses. a big departure from the cheesy Cena 2.0 character he had been portraying. Fans went crazy for that assault too. Thats Reigns at his best beating the crap out of people rather than doing god awful promos calling people suckotashes and tater tots.

I love a Wrestlemania 16 or 17 style match at Wrestlemania 32 involving the dudleys.

Then they need to add some more tag teams from NXT, Lucha Dragons stole the show last night. I hope Ascensions are in too. There's also a chance of Team Extreme returning soon, let's hope its in the Rumble. Would love another 7 STAR TLC Match

Ironic that Reigns was cheered in Philly at the end of the year when that crowd booed him at RR in January.

I think that menacing attack on HHH is probably the turning point of Reign's career.

I wonder what RAW ratings be now :13:

When they want to WWE can pull episodes like this out of the hat. So as a fan u don't lose all hope in the company but then they proceed with a few more months of mediocrity and then pull out a great episode creating a cycle disappointment disillusion and optimism. Hopefully now RR is coming around soon and Mania season. WWE will build on this week going forward. Vince might be losing touch with the fans behind the scenes but he is still one of the best heels on screen. The authority don't have VKMs aura. That beatdown of Hunter might be the making of Reigns. The fans want that aggressive remorseless Roman not the lame cookie cutter babyface doing promos on tater tots. Great achievement for Reigns to be cheered in Philly a notorious smarky city. For once in these last few months I'm excited to tune into the next weeks episode of RAW.

yes it is, I said it before when Rollins got injured that Hunter should step up and win the WWE Title to save the WWE. He's going to be in the title picture soon and the positive is already coming from it

I don't know about you but I feel for Sheamus. He is a victim of poor booking yet again. Troll Sheamus had a lot of potential but he was booked so much as a chickensh!t heel that the crowd stopped caring.

This match was superb and Sheamus even showed some cool stuff like the Texas cloverleaf (Malenko tribute?) .
