Be it 80 or 50 the guy is still a great talker and is amazing to watch and he did give SD rating quite the boost.

No, you're missing the point. The old man is incredible.

However, the fact that they had to bring in the old man to boost the ratings is shameful, it was an act of desperation when Jinder had been stinking the joint.

The old man is crazy, he doesn't understand something called a limit; god forbid something bad happened to him in the ring. He's no longer a spring chicken and I find it shocking anyone would find it acceptable for him needing to get his hands dirty at this stage in his career when it shouldn't be required, but they got desperate when Jinder kept derailing the WWE title and product; the main-event scene is god awful to the point where the mid-card is the headline act for their next PPV.

He's not even that popular in India :)) he's not over with the fans over there like Khali was, enjoy it while it lasts my friend; once the India tour is over his reign is going to end :yk

It has to end eventually, he's lasted long enough, the modern day maharaja is now the member of the very very exclusive club of wwe champions, there are only 50 members in this club :broad

If I am not wrong, not a single pure black person has every won a WWE Championship (Rock was half black), Only a few other nationalities have had the honor of holding the WWE championship, just watch out, more of our guys and girls :yk2 are coming over to conquer WWE.
 
On a serious note though, I am not a fan of mahal, I don't really care about mahal but as a kid when I use to watch tiger ali jobbing like a loser(holding the Indian flag no less ), I desperately wanted an Indian to beat the bad american guys :afridi1 and become the WWE champion, 20 years later, it finally happened but it doesn't mean anything to me now :yk

:)) That is the same promo Jinder cuts every week, you just missed out the 2.2 billion Indians part :yk Technically though, Jinder is still Canadian aha there's another Canadian of Indian origin guy called Akam who wrestles in a tag team called authors of pain, he's a lot more talented.

No, Bobby Lashley would have been the first but he left WWE. He had been a former American Army Sergeant and a very friendly P.R guy. Outside him, Booker T became the World Heavyweight Champion in WCW and WWE but never held the WWE title.

Yeah a lot of Indians have said the same, it's up to Jinder to improve and make more fans; but they're more interested in the likes of Cena and Reigns.

Damn! what a main-event ! have no idea how Reigns managed to take that bump from the top of the cage it was insane, hypocritical / narrow minded hippie smarks still boo him unless he's in the shield but man he delivers in the ring and does your 9.99 justice on PPV rarely seen him in a bad match, character work is fine although his in-ring skills are better; as a package he's terrific. Great to see Kane back :))

Dude Triple H pre-2002 was great. His matches with Foley, The Rock, Austin, even people like Kaientai were great.

Meningitis, a lot of these guys have been infected hope they recover. Bo, Jo Jo and Bray as well. I think this is awesome regardless but instead of sticking Kurt in the TLC I'd have him work with AJ Styles and put Balor in the TLC match

What I've noticed with him is unless he's working with someone talented and lets them take the lead or a gimmick match he will struggle, he doesn't have the best in-ring IQ despite all his experience; just watch how he worked in such a pre meditated fashion against Reigns at WM 30, he didn't have the awareness to realise how dead the crowd was and continued to be slow/ponderous with the methodical pace, what shouod have been a shoot out ended up going a lot longer then it shouod because hunter was trying to force an epic match and achieved the opppsite.

He's a very protected in-ring performer that works best in an AE era format with loads off overbooking and gimmick matches. Foley went through hell to get him over, we forget the crazy bumps he took which made those matches. He had chemistry with the rock but he's no mug in the ring and they did well in gimmick matches especially, and pretty much everyone has great matches with Austin even an inexperienced Kurt Angle who had never wrestled before, Austin is one of the greatest in-ring performers ever that aspect is not appreciated enough because of his awesome character work, watch him in the 90s for WCW or his matches against HBK when they were tag champs, Vince called him the ring master due to how technically sound he was then when those injuries happened he adjusted, became a brawler and that in-ring awareness of knowing how to get the audience invested in his matches helped him.

Amongst the guys who got a big push during that time I'd rank HHH's in ring ability the lowest, I also believe Kane was better but he was too introverted to relish a top spot and lurked mostly around the upper mid card, we never got to see what he was truly capable of during his peak in the ring.

Kurt is probably going to play a small part in this TLC match but it's still a big deal for me because he'd have finally come full circle and this has been like 11 years in the making bah gawd, has always been an all time favourite. Yeah Balor/AJ should be a great match.

I had read reports he was planning on taking the wwe medical towards the end of the year which makes his current return sense because he has been cleared to perform at TLC, it obviously has come under some unfortunate circumstances with Reigns , Bray and a couple of others being ill so I hope they recover; otherwise Kurt may not have been wrestling right now but you're right that a big singles match surely would have been the plan, I think we were discussing the possibility at summerslam a while back. Now it could be at Survivor Series, Royal Rumble or Mania; the rumoured opponent is HHH :facepalm: Rather see Angle v Reigns or Rollins instead
 
AJ Styles had to just leave WWE's South American tour due to an illness so it makes me wonder how ready he will be for this high profile match, on top of that Balor failed to deliver in his dream match against Rollins at SummerSlam; at times there can be certain styles which don't mesh well, but when they don't it takes a special effort to put on a great match. So my expectations won't be as high as others.
 
I feel like they should have kept this all secret and surprised everyone on the night of TLC when Kurt and AJ's entrance hit but since WWE always thinks about PPV buys and subscribers now, they couldn't take the risk

Yes just seen that some superstars are ill so that's why Kurt has replaced Regins.

Yep I don't want to see Kurt vs Triple H as well. Don't see how it benefits anyone. Wouldn't mind seeing Kurt face Balor or Rollins.
 
Yes, not expected Styles/Balor to be much, plus Balor is an overrated, boring, tiny little performer.

ANgle returning is my draw back to watching a WWE ppv.
 
Balor/AJ was excellent as expected, incredible performance from Styles even more-so when he had jet-lag and had travelled last minute all the way from south america plus was ill as well. For those not familiar with Balor's work from Japan and NXT they'd now see that he's capable of putting on some world class matches at the top level so it was a much needed boost for him on the main-roster, credit for both guys and I believe they can have an even better match, this was their first effort and if they work some house shows down the road and build towards another PPV encounter it would be even better.

Angle was fantastic and delivered in a very tricky situation involving the TLC match and it's reckless layout but you'd expect that with 5 guys taking on 3 people with nothing hanging at the top but tornado match rules. Everyone involved in the match performed well and got through some dangerous spots at times, thankfully no one is injured as it stands from the encounter.

A bit late but my WORD TLC! The AJ Styles vs Finn Balor match had me going crazy and seeing Kurt back in action what a night it was! I was overjoyed!

He could have been so much more I remember up until the early 2000's he was so hot on his way become one of the GOAT he still probably is but terrible booking has meant he didn't reach his full potential. I always felt he should've stayed masked as soon as he unmasked it was a downward spiral for him and he was one of my favorites when he use to wear the mask back in 1998-2003. Miss those days of wrestling.

I switched the channel to watch some WWE and boom I see a huge phenomenal forearm then 1-2-3! I am so pumped and happy that Jinder’s reign as champion is over!

Can not wait to see The Beast vs The Phenomenal One!

I have zero interest in Angle/HHH it's not 2001 :facepalm:. Much rather see Angle face Roman Reigns, Cesaro, Russev or AJ Styles.

It's an amazing card, strong from the bottom right to the top. We do every now and then although recently we haven't in a while, it's not a regular occurrence like in the past, everyone busy now lol

I agree with you, am most excited for AJ/Brock as well it has been one of my ultimate dream matches; I never got HBK/Rock but I will get Styls/Brock. I just hope that WWE don't book it as a squash match because then it will be more entertaining like Punk/Brock.

Other then that match am excited for the classic 5 on 5 match, there's going to be a fair amount of drama in that match.

The undercard we can expect solid in-ring performances from all the folk involved in the tag matches

Yes that is right, Also there are more heels in team RAW then SD so more screw jobs in team RAW, but on paper that team looks formidable.

I guess HHH and Angle will be the last 2 members remaining while Shane on the other end.
HHH will screw Angle and will join Shane who will turn heel and will join authority with HHH. Although it doesn't make much sense but it is possible.

Its not about Jinder being an Indian but he started as a jobber and then WWE tried to force us to accept a jobber as a world champion which was never acceptable. Assume Heath Slater or Curt Hawkins becoming a WWE champion after being a jobber for such a long time.
They could have used a character like The Great Khali who was dominant when he started so he being champion was kind of relevant.
Also mic skills are important which Jinder lacks so WWE universe won't accept him as the main eventer.

Indeed, I prayed Jummah today to do that :yk Most people just troll, Jinder is not taken seriously even in India which is why they had to cut the India tour dates from 2 shows to 1 because the ticket sales were poor when Jinder as WWE champ was advertised to face KO. Now with HHH whom Indians love more is headlining the event there's more excitement. He has just been a poor draw as a whole and his reign has been one of the worst I've ever seen for someone who has held the title for more then 100 days, awful promos and can't wrestle much either. It's no hate thing the guy is just terrible am more of a fan of Akam, he's of Idnian origin as well; Akam and Mustafa Ali are the best south asian origin talents in wrestling by miles.

With Styles as champ business has already picked up, half a million viewers who had tuned out of SD came back over the past 2 weeks in a row and there's more interest in the PPV because Brock/Styles is a genuine dream match and once in a life time, may never see it again. Styles make fights and this could be a cracking battle

Just finished watching it now, checked out all the matches apart from the under-card involving Black etc been a big fan of Almas, best latino talent I've seen under the WWE banner since Eddie/Rey glad to see him go over, was a great match. Ember had to go over or it wouldn't have made sense, well deserved and expect her to do a great job as champion. The main-event was different to the original War Games but man what a match, so brutal and violent; there was also bound to be blood even with no one blading and it's the sort of match which needs blood but everyone delivered, and people talk rubbish at times about the big guys but they stole the show in the main-event, AOP and Sanity for their size are so agile and technically gifted. 5* quality; arguably the best match of the year. Good luck to the Survivor Series lot topping that lol
 
Will be watching survivor series well after the results are known, do not ruin it for me!

Why so much hate? Even when Brock would have lost against the maharaja his credibility wouldn't have been affected one bit since he is Brock Lesnar.. You guys don't have an eye for spotting a talented gem like jinder mahal no wonder WWE is trash these days..

On a serious note AJ vs Brock gonna be one of the best matches if they are given enough time and Brock actually wrestles a bit as well instead of just doing his usual suplexes.. The suplex stuff works well against bigger opponents like Goldberg or Strowman as giving suplxes to those guys seems like effort is required, AJ is too small for the whole Suplex gimmick and deserve some a proper wrestling match..

It was a great PPV but the main event was not that good.
Also it looks like Kurt Angle is not performing very good as a wrestler any more. His match against Triple H at Mania should be the last match of his career.
Brock Lesnar vs AJ Styles was awesome. It shows that if Brock Lesnar is in the ring with someone he likes then he will give his best to make that match look great.
 
I think soon Jinder will become WWE Champion again before WWE's India tour.

Also Paige is back on RAW and Roman Reigns has become the new Intercontinental Champion.

AJ/Brock was incredible, easily 5* and my WWE MOTY.

Far better than the greatly overrated Omega/Okada II and III.
