In his debut series as full-time Test captain, Tom Latham led New Zealand to a stunning 3-0 whitewash against India on their home soil. This monumental victory marks a remarkable turnaround in fortunes for the Kiwis. They became the 1st team in 12 years to beat India in a Test series at their own home soil.

Tom Latham, after whitewashing India in the 3-Test match series, addressed the post-series press conference:

"It's been a massive achievement, after the first (Test) it was obviously pretty special; the second one to win a series was even more special. We spoke about coming here and trying to adapt as much as we can and to be in this position (of winning) 3-0, it's certainly a series that I'll never forget. We'll obviously celebrate as a group together over tonight and the next couple of days before we head home. It's certainly been an amazing series to be a part of... It will sink in a little bit more when we get home and once the dust settles a little bit."

His impressive start has set the tone for a promising tenure. Is Tom Latham on track to become a legendary Test captain for New Zealand?

Nobody can beat the class of Williamson but yes Latham is also a very intelligent captain who reads the game quite well. So I would rate him as the second best captain for New Zealand after Williamson.

Latham already has one of NZs greatest achievements under his reign so he's already considered legendary.
