It would be stupid Keylor Navas is so much better than Lloris, Lloris is extremely error-prone.

One team I have mostly hated watching this season because of Mourinho.

There is so much flair, skill and attacking options, yet week after week Mourinho plays such a dull and negative brand of football.

I wonder what the likes of Kane think of it.

I started to hate Mourinho because of what he did to Iker & since then I've hated every team he has managed.

What exactly happened between Casillas and Mourinho? I know they had sour ending during their Real Madrid days.

FULL TIME: Dinamo Zagreb (3) 3-0 (2) Tottenham

Tottenham have been knocked out of the Europa League in remarkable fashion in Croatia!

Tottenham went into the tie with a 2-0 lead from the 1st leg. Zagreb striker Orsic scored 2 to take the game to extra time, then completed his hat-trick in the 106th minute to carry Zagreb through and knock Tottenham out!

Spurs just had to score one goal to level it at 3-3 and advance on away goals, but just could not get the ball over Zagreb's goal line. It really was a remarkable 30 minutes of extra time.

Joe Hart has issued an apology after a social media blunder.

The Tottenham goalkeeper’s official Instagram account shared a graphic from showing Tottenham had lost 3-0 to Dinamo Zagreb, but captioned it ‘job done’.

It left fans baffled as Spurs suffered a humiliating exit from the competition after losing in Croatia and going out 3-2 on aggregate.

Hart has now explained that his social media team mistakenly thought Tottenham had won – not lost – 3-0 and so posted the message.

He has said sorry to fans in a video shared on his Instagram page.

“Morning guys, I feel like I need to make an apology on behalf on my social media team. It’s just been brought to my attention,” Hart said.

“It’s unacceptable and I’m sure it sure it’s annoyed a lot of people and I’m sorry it’s come to that. It’s obviously not come from me, I’ve got nothing but love for the club and I support them, so apologies.

“Unfortunately stuff like this happens, but just know it didn’t come from any other place, apart from a typo.”

Hart’s teammate, Hugo Lloris, labelled Spurs a disgrace following the disastrous result, and shed light on the big problems at the club.

“I think we are all more than disappointed,” he said in an explosive interview.

“It is just a disgrace. I just hope everyone in the changing room feels responsible for this situation because it’s a disgrace.

“It’s just an accumulation. We are a club that’s full of ambition but the team at the moment I just think is a reflection of what’s going on in our club.

“We have a lack of basics, lack of fundamentals. Overall our performance is in relation to that. I think mentally we should be stronger, we should be more competitive.

“The way we play is just not enough. Not enough. One thing is to come in front of the camera and say I’m ambitious, the other is to show every day – in training sessions, it’s to show every time on the pitch – you cannot let it down if you play or don’t play.

“To behave as a team is the most difficult thing in football. Whatever is the decision of the manager you have to follow the way of the team.

“If you follow the team only when you’re in the starting XI that causes a big problem for the team because you’re going to pay, in the one moment and you’re going to pay in your season.

“Today I think is the consequence of that. We had a great moment in the past because we could trust the togetherness that was in the team. Today, I don’t know, I’m not sure about that.

“I think if you look at all the experience we have got as a player individually as a player in the dressing room, we have all got that,” he said.

“From one leg to another anything can turn if you believe and make the perfect game. What is more painful is the feeling that we came here without the desire to kill the game. When you are a competitor you cannot behave in that way.

“When we started to realise it was too late. The confidence was back in the Zagreb team and then the game became even harder.

“This is the story of the game and it is done and we cannot change unfortunately. It is a disgrace from us and we can only feel sorry for the fans because every year they are full of hope.

“To win this competition would mean a lot but now we have to be back on our basics in a routine and fight again in the league to get back in this competition next season.”

Ryan Mason will remain as interim head coach at Tottenham Hotspur for the remainder of the season after the sacking of Jose Mourinho.

The 29-year-old former midfielder, who retired from playing in 2018 after suffering a fractured skull, has been working with the club's academy.

He took first-team training on Monday after Mourinho's departure.

Mason will face the media on Tuesday before Wednesday's Premier League game against Southampton.

His second game in charge will be Sunday's Carabao Cup final against Manchester City at Wembley.

The club also confirmed that Chris Powell and Nigel Gibbs will be interim assistant head coaches, with Michel Vorm as interim goalkeeping coach while Ledley King will continue in his role as first-team assistant.

Chairman Daniel Levy said: "We have great belief in this squad of talented players. We have a cup final and six Premier League games ahead of us and we shall now focus all our energies on achieving a strong finish to the season."

Tottenham supporters hold protest against club owners ENIC and chairman Daniel Levy as Super League fallout continues

Tottenham supporters gathered in their numbers outside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday to protest against owners ENIC and chairman Daniel Levy.

Spurs fans remain angry at the club's involvement in the aborted European Super League breakaway and the team's slide from regular top four contenders under Mauricio Pochettino to a potential finish outside of the European positions this season.

Saturday's demonstration, which follows similar protests at Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal in recent weeks, began around midday and saw some fans carrying banners that read "ENIC out - Levy out; £nic puts profit before glory, enough is enough".

It is expected to be the first of two days of protests, with more expected at the ground when the team play at home to Wolves on Sunday, which is live on Sky Sports Premier League.

They have been organised amid a bitter dispute between the club and the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust (THST), which recently voted in favour of a motion calling for the entire THFC executive board to resign.

Earlier this week, the club confirmed they will appoint a supporter to their board as a non-executive member via a new fan advisory group, created without the consultation of the Supporters Trust and criticised as a move to side-line THST.

THST is one of a number of fan groups from the so-called 'big-six' Premier League clubs that attempted to be part of the ESL currently in talks with the UK government as part of its fan-led review into football governance. They have also been talking to UEFA about the Super League debacle.

Tottenham are keen to resume talks with THST but only if they drop their calls for the board to resign.

Current interim head coach Ryan Mason has called for fan unity, as the team struggles to qualify for European competition next season. A Champions League spot is all-but out of their grasp while they are competing with a string of other clubs to finish in the top seven.

The recruitment process for the next Tottenham manager continues following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho was dismissed after 17 months in charge, with Spurs seventh in the Premier League with five games remaining.

Indeed, that is where they finished under former midfielder Ryan Mason, who was named interim head coach for the remainder of the season.

The next manager will have to navigate the Uefa Conference League, with chairman Daniel Levy still considering his options when deciding who takes the reins.

Levy missed out on a prime contender in Julian Nagelsmann, who will take over from Hansi Flick at Bayern Munich this summer.

Ajax also confirmed on 30 April that Erik ten Hag has committed his future to the club until 2023, initially pouring cold water on any hopes Spurs had of making him their new boss. He is still not out of the running entirely, at least when it comes to the bookmakers’ reckonings.

Most notable of all, though, is the fact that Mauricio Pochettino’s odds have been slashed following Paris Saint-Germain conceding the Ligue 1 title to Lille.

Next Tottenham manager contenders

Antonio Conte

Conte’s shock departure from Inter, just days after securing their first Serie A title in a decade, saw the Italian immediately linked with a move to Spurs.

The former Chelsea manager is reported to have been unhappy with Inter’s plans to reduce investment and cut costs due to the financial impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

While he has Premier League-winning pedigree on the other side of London, would Levy really want to hire such a combustible manager so soon after Mourinho?

Mauricio Pochettino

A report emerged in The Sun suggesting that the Argentine could make a sensational return, with Levy admitting that his sacking in November 2019 was the worst mistake of his career. It’s also claimed Spurs view Pochettino as key to convincing Harry Kane to stay.

Nuno Espirito Santo

Nuno’s shock departure from Wolves was announced last week and while he might not play the brand of football for which Spurs are on the lookout, he won widespread praise in his four years at Molineux Stadium, securing promotion and European football but finishing 12th this season.

Rafa Benitez

Rafa Benitez really has done the rounds in English football. From winning the Champions League with Liverpool, the Europa League with Chelsea and the, er… Championship with Newcastle, the Spaniard is well versed in England’s football pyramid.

Benitez is out of work after leaving Chinese side Dalian in January and is said to be open to the position in London. He wouldn’t come cheap – he earned £12m a season in China – but Benitez would be ready made to come into Spurs and pick up the pieces left by Mourinho.

Scott Parker

Having guided Fulham into the Premier League, Scott Parker is heading straight back down with the Cottagers. But could the former Spurs midfielder take the job in north London and perhaps keep Mason on board too?

Parker has plenty of admirers and his odds have him as one of the favourites to succeed Mourinho full-time. He made over 50 appearances for Spurs during a two-year period, but he may not bring the sparkle Tottenham fans would expect from a new manager.

Ralf Rangnick

At 62 years of age and having never worked in England, Ralf Rangnick would certainly bring some European experience to the corridors of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. But would the former RB Leipzig boss be interested in Spurs if they fail to qualify for Europe next term?

Rangnick is known for being a smart dealer in the transfer market and that almost certainly appeals to Levy. But Spurs are looking for a manager who can deliver a championship promise – and Rangnick wouldn’t likely be their first choice.

Maurizio Sarri

A Premier League return for Maurizio Sarri? The Italian left Chelsea by mutual consent in 2019, winning the Europa League during his only season in charge at Stamford Bridge, and then went on to coach Juventus for just shy of one campaign.

Despite winning Serie A, a premature last-16 exit in the Champions League saw Sarri sacked a day after their defeat to Lyon last August, and the 62-year-old has been out of work ever since.

Sarri has emerged as one of the favourites for the Spurs job and while he was previously linked with Roma, that vacancy has now been filled by a certain familiar face…

Brendan Rodgers

The Leicester manager was deemed a contender for the Chelsea role when Frank Lampard was sacked in January, and while the Blues went with Thomas Tuchel, Brendan Rodgers has once more emerged as a leading contender for a job with one of the Premier League’s Big Six.

The fact Leicester have just won the FA Cup and have qualified for the Europa League means Rodgers could arguably view this as a sideways step. He did appear to rule himself out, but his ability to get the most out of a squad could make him an attractive option for Levy.

Massimiliano Allegri

When a Big Six team has a managerial vacancy, Massimiliano Allegri’s name resurfaces. The former AC Milan and Juventus boss has been away from management since 2019, when he left the Old Lady after five years and five straight Serie A titles.

Allegri confirmed in December he was looking for a Premier League role in an interview with The Times.

“I would like to experience the Premier League,” Allegri said. “In Italy, I was in Milan four years. Five years in Juventus. Now I expect [to work again] in Italy, but it is difficult, or in England.

“English football is improving now because there are a lot of foreign trainers. England now is more sophisticated, and more tactical, but is also respecting the tradition of English football. It’s a good balance of the spirit of English football and the new quality and new tactical approach of the new coaches.”

Ledley King

A Tottenham legend, Ledley King joined Spurs as a first-team assistant coach in August last year.

Crucially he has not left the coaching staff upon Mourinho’s dismissal, with the Portuguese joined by Joao Sacramento, Nuno Santos, Carlos Lalin and Giovanni Cerra in leaving the club.

King’s role at the club will therefore increase during the search, and Levy could see this as a popular choice among fans, though the former defender’s lack of managerial experience is likely to count against him.

Steven Gerrard

After steering Rangers to the Scottish Premiership title, Steven Gerrard is among the early frontrunners with bookies for the Tottenham role, which would be the former Liverpool captain’s route back into English football.

Whether Gerrard wants to leave his role with Rangers is another matter given the 40-year-old finally wrestled the title from Celtic in what was his third season at Ibrox.

Tottenham defender Serge Aurier says he will not sign a new Spurs contract and claims he has reached an agreement to leave the club.

Conte likes to spend big don't think he would be able to do that with spurs. This will end in chaos for spurs

Former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte has emerged as the clear front runner for the vacant Tottenham manager's role.

It is understood talks with the Italian have advanced quickly.

There is now a growing expectation is he will replace Jose Mourinho as Tottenham manager.

Spurs made contact with former boss Mauricio Pochettino last week but PSG have remained steadfast in their refusal to allow him to leave.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is unlikely to allow that situation to drag on too long.

The club has been without a permanent manager since the departure of Mourinho on 19 April.

Levy said the club had "lost sight of some key priorities" during construction of its new stadium and the Covid-19 pandemic.

Spurs finished last season seventh in the table, qualifying for the new Europa Conference League.

Talisman Harry Kane, who won the Premier League Golden Boot, said he hopes to have "a good, honest conversation" with Levy about his future, amid reports he had formally asked to leave.

Conte won the 2016-17 Premier League in his first season as Chelsea manager but was sacked at the end of the following season when he won the FA Cup but finished fifth in the league.

The 51-year-old led Inter to the Europa League final in 2019-20 and within one point of Italian champions Juventus - who had finished 21 points ahead the season before.

Inter claimed their 19th Scudetto with four games remaining last season, with their points tally of 91 ranking as the second highest in the club's history.

Antonio Conte has major doubts about becoming Tottenham's next head coach and is inclined to turn them down, according to Sky Italy.

Tottenham have called off talks with Antonio Conte about becoming their next manager.

The former Chelsea boss, 51, looked set to replace Jose Mourinho after Spurs' hopes of luring Mauricio Pochettino back from Paris St-Germain were dashed.

However, negotiations have ground to a halt and BBC Sport understands there is no likelihood of them resuming.

Suggestions from Italy are that Conte was starting to have doubts due to the transfer budget he was set to be given.

However, Tottenham also had concerns as well.

The Italian manager has a reputation for buying ready-made stars whereas, under chairman Daniel Levy, Tottenham's reputation has come through development and building teams, as they did under Pochettino.

It leaves Tottenham still looking for a new boss, nearly seven weeks after sacking Mourinho.

Julian Nagelsmann and Brendan Rodgers have also been linked with the role. Nagelsmann subsequently joined Bayern Munich, while Rodgers has stated his commitment to Leicester City.

Tottenham are in advanced talks to appoint former Roma boss Paulo Fonseca as their new head coach.

Tottenham are close to confirming Paulo Fonseca as their new manager.

The club have been seeking a manager since Jose Mourinho's sacking in April, but talks with former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte broke down in early June.

Former Roma boss Fonseca was identified as a candidate by Spurs' new football managing director Fabio Paratici.

Talks began last week and BBC Sport understands they are edging towards a successful conclusion - which would end a tumultuous spell for Tottenham.

In addition to the departure of Mourinho, who has since taken over at Roma, the club has had to deal with uncertainty around England captain Harry Kane, who thinks he has an agreement with chairman Daniel Levy to be allowed to leave the club this summer.

This came on top of the fallout from Tottenham's involvement in the doomed European Super League proposals, for which Levy apologised.

Finding a replacement for Mourinho has proved to be more troublesome than it was envisaged.

Ajax's Erik ten Hag and Leicester's Brendan Rodgers committed their futures to their clubs, while hopes of bringing back their former manager Mauricio Pochettino were ended when Paris St-Germain refused to discuss letting the Argentine leave.

Then it appeared former Inter Milan and Chelsea boss Conte was on the brink of joining, but discussions ended as differences emerged in the way he and Tottenham saw the short-term future.
