[VIDEO] Boxing Day : Mohammad Yousuf and Rameez Raja in a heated argument

Wrong. Video starts with moyo doing third person gossip, he gets slapped by ramiz, and then he repeats the critique first person

Saying third person stuff wasn't as offensive as what Rameez had to say. Whether you like it or not, Rameez is a parha likha jhahil, in this video, if Rameez got embarrassed then it was because of his own stupidity.

Did you read the whole sentence, or fall asleep in the middle of it. As soon as he was called out he went first person repeating verbatim.
But ofcourse we are the ppl of the beard. How dare ramiz scorn it.

Very hard to argue with a person with such a mentality. In any case my faith is different, very very different from that of Yousuf, but at the same time i'm not a blind hater.

That Cricinfo report by that journalist was absolutely terrible. Shocked how he is working for Cricinfo.

I was more shocked that there were about 65 comments, 90% were admiration of an "excellent" article.

I agree it's far worse to hate despite the gift of all faculties available

Sometimes calling an illiterate bearded bigot an insult to the religion he represents is justified.
Moyo is a footnote in terms of relevance to Pakistan cricket. Rameez is not. The only thing that Rameez can be critiqued for is bothering with this waste of space. Understandably moyo talks a big game now. Pity he had no courage when it mattered on the field. A cowardly player and now a television hack. The shoe fits very precisely.

This is not true, Mohammad Yusuf thrived many a time where most of his team failed. How is he supposed to be even more brave when he has an average of 50+ in Tests and 40+ in ODIs????

What I see is quite a few folks jumping to condemn ramiz's critique, whereas the footage clearly shows who started this tiff. Everything happens for a reason no doubt.

I take it that your answer is yes. This is very disappointing for the following reasons:

Firstly, Rameez is a muslim himself. Secondly, I am pretty sure that majority of the patrons on this forum (if not all) don't really pursue MoYo for religious reasons. Including those who are criticizing Rameez. Lastly, I am not religious at all. Hence for me it really doesn't make a difference what religion MoYo follows. I would have criticized Rameez even if MoYo had not converted or Rameez had brought in Danesh Kaneria's religion when discussing his scandal.

There are certain lines which should not be crossed. People on this very forum appreciate cricketers regardless of their religion, race and nationalities. No body is going to claim that Umar Akmal is a better batsman than Kohli because he is a muslim.

Your observation regarding this matter is extremely contradictory to the spirit of a passionate cricket fan.

Dude don't even waste your time on comparing cricketing capabilities RR and MoYo. I mean seriously, are we now going to compare MoYo's batting with RR?

No man I am asking this dude called Pete Rose why he thinks Moyo was such a coward of a player? As far as I'm Concerned he scored 100s left right and center like a boss even outside the SC. Beautiful, God gifted batsman and even in a tough run chase he used to bring the goods. I'm still baffled as to how someone can call him a coward of a player?!?! If he was a coward then what exactly was a lion???

Yousaf absolutely demolished ramiz like an over protected girl

I thoroughly enjoyed the interaction between Moyo and Raja, very entertaining beyond all the stuff which has already been said.

We argue two very different points because focus on two different points of this conversation. Yousuf has shown time and again that he does not have the manners for civil conversation. What he gets called as a result of it does not matter to me. What matters to me is what lead to this unpleasant exchange. There is history there between these two because moyo has done this in the past. he does not get a free pass because someone allegedly disrespected his religious identity AFTER he instigated the whole thing.

Anyone defending Ramiz is one of those cool cats who has a bias towards people with beards. When does facial hair and religious beliefs an acceptable topic to attack. Yousuf has been a champion player for Pakistan and these wwe bacha party don't know how many times he has saved our behind in ODIs and tests at home and overseas.

Comparing Ramiz to Yousuf is cricketing blasphemy. Ramiz directly started the personal attacks and even then Yousuf only talked about Ramiz's cricketing feats (or lack thereof) instead of talking about his fake English accents or his desire to suck up to the opposition commies.

to bw honet yes he just travelling

:akhtar
Yousuf used to mock Rameez saying he's just travelling around with Pak team and doing commentary because he speaks English and is otherwise an ordinary cricketer with no standing in world cricket.

and he destroyed the career of Muhammad zahid and imran nazir in srilanka tour remember guys he just phonetic player

DAMN...I want to see this kind of fight between Indian cricketers as well but unfortunately they are too professional :sanga

Imagine Sehwag and Dhoni fighting like this in national television. Will be classy stuff :yk

There is no point rubbing it in whatever the disguise is here.

From the video being shared on social network it clearly looks like Ramiz took first strike with the beard remark not sure if he feels inferior or something , may be there is more to this than meets the eye.

No Disguise brother...it would be good to see some catfights between our players on national television too.
Infact I had a dream last night that MSD and Kohli is fighting on Times Now Debate.

Virat: "Dhoni Bhai please retire now and handover the captaincy to me. Enough is enough"

MSD: "Shut up. Don't forget I got you in the team. Learn to respect seniors"

Arnab: "What you mean by Shut up, Mr Dhoni. Please answer, nation wants to know"

Just when Kohli was about to start the abuses in Punjabi, I woke up from my dream and realized they play for India. No Catfights :sanga

http://sports.ndtv.com/cricket/news...-exchange-coarse-words-on-mohammad-amir-issue

Karachi: The debate over whether tainted left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir should be allowed to play for Pakistan again has created a big divide in Pakistan cricket with former cricketers Mohammad Yousuf and Ramiz Raja engaging in a war of words on the issue during a TV show.(Amir Accepted by Players After Apology)

The two waded into each other and used some very personal, coarse and unrefined language against each on national television during a show on Geo Super channel.

The offensive exchange of words took place over the issue of Amir with Yousuf claiming Ramiz didn't know cricket, was a "Sifarashi" player and good only to be a teacher.(Amir Set for Comeback)

Yousuf went one step further when he made some personal remarks against the former Test captain turned commentator who lost his cool on air.

It drew a sharp response from Ramiz who termed Yousuf, who sports a beard, as a fake Mullah who tells lies and who caused havoc in Pakistan cricket.

The clips of the exchange soon became the talk of the social media with many former players, fans and critics expressing disappointment over the language used by both former stalwarts.

Pakistan's former Test captain Rashid Latif said what happened should never have happened and was most unfortunate.

"I have played with both these players. They are looked upon with respect by the fans. It does not pass on the right message to anyone," Latif said.

Ramiz has been clear about his views on allowing Amir back into the national team.
"My views are clear to everyone but this is a decision that the Pakistan cricket board has to take and only time will tell whether they took the right decision or not," Ramiz said.

"I thought the PCB could have handled the Amir matter in a better manner," he said.

Two of Pakistan's senior players Mohammad Hafeez and national one-day captain Azhar Ali both refused to train with Amir in the national training camp in Lahore but later agreed to return on the intervention of the PCB chief Shaharyar Khan.

Ramiz said he was happy that the matter was resolved and Hafeez and Azhar returned to the camp. "But the Amir issue has reached a very delicate stage now."

Responding to remarks from Yousuf that Amir was the world's best bowler and that someone had instigated Azhar Ali, Ramiz said neither was Amir the world's best bowler nor did anyone instigate Azhar.

"I thought they took a brave stand," he added.

Seems like a personal issue, rather than any valid argument or view point. Waste of time...shame on both of these guys.

Before you lose your lota, go look at the clip again. Moyo instigated.

No he didn't

This goes beyond what's on the clip with Rameez making silly comments.
MoYo made a statement - but it was on a professional statement (i.e. What a Pundit does).

Rameez brought it down to a gutter level by making a personal statement. Stop defending him - it's cringeworthy

Yeah you can practice this in front of the mirror so that the both of you are convinced of it. And when you want to let some doubt in your life so that you learn something, you can read the article two posts above this that covers what happened.

On a unrelated note..
It may sound odd. But I am just sharing my feelings.

Sometimes I go through a very hard time mentally. When I feel sad I sometimes search 'Mohammad Yousuf about Shahid Afridi' in YouTube. I don't know why I have a lot of fun watching Mohammad Yousuf's way of analysis of match and how he generally criticize Shahid Afridi in TV shows.
And sometimes Afridi too replies him in another shows and also the way he replies is also very enjoyable.
Whole drama is like a comedy show (for me).

However I again LMAO hearing/watching a tv show consisting Mohammad Yousuf this time relating Ramij Raja.

Thank you Mohammad Yousuf.

Ramiz turns down Yousuf's bid to reconcile.
Saeed Anwar called up Ramiz to relay Yousuf's message, but the former opener said NO!

This did happen in the past.

Hopefully this is water under the bridge and both will work for betterment of Pakistan cricket.

So how will this relationship go?

The argument was pretty heated but things can change when you get into power:)
