Has any one played Nier Automata?

I’ve been thinking of buying it for a very long time?

It looks like a fun game and apparently the story and the music are great too.

And I’ve heard that you need to play the game multiple times to get the full story?

Really good game. Definitely buy it and get all the endings

Ronda sounds ridiculous and you'd think they'd get her to re-take the lines or something, I'm not sure whether that was just the best she could do or they had a tight time-frame for her to voice Sonya.

Yeah a new boxing game seems like a rare idea because EA's current IPs are still printing money so they wouldn't care too much about bringing back FN imo.

The contract with UFC was to release 4 games I believe and generally the reception towards the series has been negative in recent times, EA have shown positive signs in terms of developing another FN game plus it would be a good time to release one given the high demand plus I don't think the sales of UFC 3 were all that as well but they have to make the 4th one.

With this in mind, once UFC 4 has been released maybe FN will go into production and latest be released around 2022-2023; licensing will cost them a fortune but they will be able to make their money back through all the micro transactions .

That is still a long wait good job I bought the older titles to play on my 360 :afridi

If you have a PS4 and like action/adventure games then I would recommend Horizon Zero Dawn, it's an amazing game with visceral combat, thouhgtful story and robot dinasours!

Having seen the gameplay footage and reviews, this looks good! Thanks brother.

Very nice, you've got good taste. Those two games should keep you going for a long time, to be honest, that's an understatement.

Thanks, it's frustrating being stuck with a drought of new material after completing RDR 2 and Assassins Creed: Odyssey.

I hope rockstar announce new GTA soon because it's been a hot while since the last one came out.

The story of TLOU is more about the characters then anything. Some of the typical zombie plot is there but they take a bit of a back seat compared to story between the characters.

I would highly recommend it though even if you hate zombie games. It’s a game about zombie type creatures but you don’t face them very often. Plus the zombie creatures look different enough that I didn’t really think of them as zombies whilst playing.

If you like single player story driven games then TLOU is definetly for you.

Hmm, I'll check it out sometime then. Thanks for the insight.

Damn, even if it does happen it won't be happening anytime soon by the looks of it. Hopefully EA get rid of this yearly release nonsense for FIFA, NBA Live, Madden etc and just get back to making good overall packages of games.

By the time you finish Skyrim and The Witcher 3, GTA VI will probably be out :))

So what’s everyone’s game of the generation so far? For me it’s definitely God of War

Just finished the main story of Prey and did most of the side stuff. What an underrated gem. It has its issues but still a great experience

Excited for Assassins Creed Valhallah, looks like a cross between The Viking TV series and The Last Kingdom and I like both / norse mythology. Will be downloading Streets of Rage 4 soon, loved the series on the Mega Drive.

What is everyones best driving game on the PS4 arcade or simulation, does Dirt Rally 2.0 make a case for that honour?

Been playing a ton of Pokemon on switch, I beat Pokemon sword and Pokemon mystery dungeon. Wanting to get a new switch game - Legend if Zelda breath of Wild seems really fun, or maybe Dragon quest for an rpg. Tough decision to make.

^ well I actually had Xenoblade but never played it yet, on Wii. Now I've been playing that and it's an amazing game, great characters, story and combat. Probably gonna grab Xenoblade 2 for switch once I'm done this game. Amazingly fun.

I just beat Xenoblade! Was an amazing game with great story and characters. One of my all time favourites! Highly recommend to anyone who likes RPGs or anime.

Sony unveils titles ahead of year-end PlayStation 5 release

Sony Corp on Friday unveiled a host of titles for its upcoming PlayStation 5 console, including a sequel to its hit Marvel’s Spider-Man title and the latest Gran Turismo racer, as it builds anticipation ahead of the planned year-end launch.

As rival Microsoft Corp prepares the launch of its next generation Xbox Series X console for this year’s holiday season, the presentation gave a first glimpse of how games will look when played on Sony’s device.

The PlayStation 5 promises advanced graphics and shorter load times through the use of its solid-state hard drive, which along with the device’s games pipeline are key selling points as contenders like Google push into gaming.

“You’ve seen games that can only be enjoyed with the full range of PlayStation 5’s features and power,” Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan said during the presentation, which attracted more than three million viewers to its English feed alone on YouTube and Twitch.

Upcoming titles include Spider-Man: Miles Morales from in-house studio Insomniac Games, a sequel to the best-selling title on the aging PlayStation 4, and third-party titles like Project Athia from Final Fantasy developer Square Enix Holdings.

Sony just revealed its PS5 console: Here's what we know

At its Future of Gaming event Thursday, Sony gave viewers a look at the new PlayStation 5 console. The company showed off the upcoming PS5 at the end of the event next to the new DualSense controller that we debuted back in April. Sony also displayed a suite of gear like an HD camera, controller charging station media remote and Pulse 3D wireless headset. It's unclear at this time if the gear is bundled or optional to add.

The new PS5, which was also pictured laying on its side, is a futuristic white with black finish and blue highlights.

The next-gen console will have two versions: A standard model and a slimmer digital machine that's "discless." CNET's sister site Gamespot reported that the PS5 uses an SSD, and that game discs will support a capacity of up to 100 GB.

The company discussed new titles for the new console, teasing titles like a sequel to Spider-man, Resident Evil VIII and Horizon: Forbidden West.

Sony had delayed the event after global protests erupted in response to the killing of an unarmed black man, George Floyd, while in police custody. Sony had initially planned to hold its event on June 4 despite the coronavirus pandemic, which shut down the annual E3 video game show this year.

Buying a PS4 was a fantastic decision to take during lockdown ...I’ve played lots of quality games ...

The last of us is the best Video game experience I’ve ever had ...can’t wait for the sequel ...
Other games I’ve managed to complete and enjoyed ...GTA V, streets of rage 4 was a nice throwback, uncharted was intense ...sniper elite 3, loved a plague tale but hated the final boss...la noire, mafia 2, I got tropico recently and found it too difficult...and atm I’m playing persona 5 which has been lots of fun...seriously long though ...not completing this in a week ...

I've really been getting into JRPGs after playing xenoblade 1 and currently playing xenoblade 2. Persona 5 sounds fun, I might pick it up soon once i'm done with xenoblade 2.

Epic Games nears funding at $17 billion value: Bloomberg News

So after finishing The Last of Us 2 a while ago, I have to say it’s Naughty Dog’s weakest game. (Not because one of the female characters has muscles or because a main character died. People hating on it for reasons like those are idiots.)

If I had to rank Naughty Dog’s post PS2 games from best to worst I’d say :

The Last of Us
Uncharted 4
Uncharted 2
Uncharted : Lost Legacy
Uncharted 1
Uncharted 3
The Last of Us 2

Anyone playing Warzone?

Surely I'm not the only one here who can't get enough of it.

Currently playing TLOU2...it’s far from their weakest. That honour goes to Uncharted 3.

I love the direction they went with TLOU2...it adds to the shock value. Terrifically cinematic game. What they achieved in this game on 8yr old tech is remarkable.

I'm on Cod Multiplayer, not really fan of Warzone.

Nice. Have you tried the FAL? It's so OP after having been buffed following the update.

Shame you're not on Warzone. I've managed to play over 700 matches so far.

I personally rate both Uncharted 3 and Last of Us 2 as their weakest because I think both stories are a mess but I give the edge to Uncharted 3 because I still had a lot of fun with it and there are some moments I will never forget. That being said, Last of Us 2 is still a decent game

As soon as I played Uncharted 3, I knew it was rushed. The controls are awful. Story is average.

All other ND games are of a high standard, including TLOU2.

The thing about Warzone is that it's free and max team member is 4. I have a group of 8 friends, and multiplayer works out as we can have team of 8. Though does require purchase of CoD MW.

They're genuine concerns IMO. When you have a woman who's more buff than any other character in the game it breaks immersion. It's not believable that a woman(or man) in the middle of a zombie apocalypse where food is scarce will be able to put on that much muscle.

SPOILER AHEAD. Killing Joel in the first 2 hours of the game is a big reason to hate on the game, especially since the game was advertised as the continuation of Joel and Ellie's adventures. Especially when he is killed by a character we don't care about at all. In the first game, it was established that TLOU is about Joel and Ellie. You're supposedly playing a sequel to that game, but you only get to play as Joel, one of the two main characters from the first game, for a grand total of 5 minutes at the start? That's beyond pathetic.

Reaction has been OTT imo. I am fine with it. Throughly enjoying it.

Stop thinking like a typical basement dwelling gamer. This is a game where fungus grows on humans. Where there are different types of zombies. Where putting a bandage for 5 seconds permanently heals bullet wounds. It’s not a genuine concern. It’s a joke. And gaming is one of the only communities where so many people cry about stuff like this. It’s quite telling. Even if you wanna delve into the ** “realism” aspect, whose to say that Abby didn’t have access to PED’s and nutrition from WLF since she was one of their elite soldiers. Jim sterling who himself had his complaints with the game put it perfectly. If you hate the game because Abby has muscles or because there are LGBTQ characters then you have serious issues.

In regards to the second part, I agree that they could’ve structured things better but Joel dying was obvious and I guessed it from the very first trailer. I have no problems with it.

Just because one thing in the game is unrealistic (zombies) doesn't mean everything else needs to be unrealistic. Just because there are zombies in the game, and a med kit heals you, should the game forget about gravity and everything else in the game which is still realistic?

In a game, you obviously need somethings that are unrealistic, like respawns, health regeneration, etc. Those things are essential to the game, would you wanna play a game where you die once and the game is over? No. Abby having arms bigger than us is not essential to the game. Her muscles, and the transgender kids are clearly there to make ND look "woke"

I never played the first part, will not play the second part of TLOU. Story /setting is just too depressing for my liking; another Uncharted would get my vote.

Looking forward to AC Valhallah, though seems the AC fan base are not impressed with then 30min gameplay footage that was leaked. Looks like another 'skin' on the same gaming engine.

Though I prefer an RDR2 online update now. Nearing 1000 hrs and I am totally maxed out! 😆

Ignore the white knights. Nothing wrong with promoting diversity, but some people unnecessarily go out of their own way to defend a cause that they have no connection with.

You’re still young so I don’t blame you for being influenced by this type of crowd. Abby having big muscles should not be equated to a lack of gravity. She’s clearly very strong and beats zombies and people easily with her bare fists. The thing is, by the end I actually liked and sympathized with Abby as a character.

This whole last of us 2 thing has been really strange for me. Because I personally have a lot of issues with the game and like I said earlier think it’s ND’s weakest along with Uncharted 3 but most of the criticism of the game has been so stupid and has come from people with 2 brain cells. It takes away from actual issues that these people aren’t smart enough to understand because they’re fan boys with a surface level understanding.

A real issue would be the fact that the game wants to convey that revenge and cyclical violence is bad, but it makes violence in gameplay so rewarding, fun and cool. It makes Ellie so devestated after killing random “side characters” when she’s been murdering entire crowds of people for fun. Issues like these are real. Abby having muscles is not. But gamers at this point don’t even disappoint me with their stupidity because my expectations from them are already so low.

Classic. Disregard my opinion because I'm 'too young'. FYI I'm 18 now.

I agree with the bolded part. The game does have bigger issues beyond Abby's muscular arms. That being said, Abby having huge muscles still makes people mad because they're clearly trying to pander to a certain demographic, even in a fictional video game.

Unrelated to this game specifically but this is one of the stupidest things I’ve heard. In general, should people only fight and advocate for causes that they are directly connected to?

Got a console recently and played a few games. Kinda playing Bordlerlands 3 these days, an okay game, nothing special.

Don't think will stick to gaming though.

I don't play much as others but man I want to get AC Valhallah being a big fan of all the Viking TV series out there, it seems to have caused a bit of stir among AC fans though but if it is a good game what else matters

Anyone played Need for Speed - Heat? Any good?

It has been on my watch list waiting for the price to drop, it is the best NFS game in a while and arguably the best among recent titles in the arcade genre. For hardcore simulation I can suggest Dirt Rally 2.0 I have that and it is awesome

Ubisoft announces staff departures after misconduct allegations

French video games group Ubisoft (UBIP.PA) announced several staff departures on Saturday after conducting a review in response to allegations of misconduct at the company, which earlier reports said centered around sexual misconduct charges.

The changes were initiated to improve “workplace culture”, the company said.

The group’s chief creative officer, managing director of its Canadian studios and global head of human resources have resigned from their positions, effective immediately, the company said.

“Departures come following the initiation of a rigorous review that the Company initiated in response to recent allegations and accusations of misconduct and inappropriate behavior,” the company said in a statement.

Unisoft said last month it was investigating allegations of misconduct at the company with the support of specialized external consultants.

According to media reports, Ubisoft earlier this week confirmed the departure of its vice president, Maxime Béland, following assault allegations.

According to a Bloomberg report, two high-ranking Ubisoft executives were put on leave last month following allegations of misconduct.

The video game industry was caught up in the #MeToo movement in June after women spoke about abuse on Twitter. A Medium post with compiled allegations was also circulated.

Ubisoft vows action on allegations as it posts bookings beat

French video game maker Ubisoft said it was bringing in “profound changes” following allegations of inappropriate behaviour at the group, as it reported higher-than-forecast net bookings for its fiscal first quarter.

Earlier in July Ubisoft announced the departure of three senior managers, including its chief creative officer, following an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour.

“I have never compromised on my core values and ethics and I never will,” Yves Guillemot, co-founder and chief executive told analysts, adding that he was committed to building a sustainable and inclusive business.

The management reshuffle comes at a sensitive time for Ubisoft. While coronavirus lockdowns have boosted online gaming, the group is coming off an operating loss in 2019 after a key recent title, “Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon”, failed to impress and other planned releases were delayed.

“Reactions to misconduct are encouraging. We await details on editorial team revamp to determine the impact on future productions,” Jefferies said in a note.

The company has yet to announce the chief creative officer’s replacement, but Guillemot, temporarily acting in this role, offered assurances that Ubisoft was well on track to launch five new major games in the 2021 fiscal year.

Ubisoft also said it has revamped its human resources department and was pursuing an investigation alongside external consultants into the harassment allegations.

The maker of blockbuster gaming franchises Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs made net bookings of 410 million euros ($474.9 million) for the three months to end June, as more people stuck indoors turned to video games.

Ubisoft confirmed its financial guidance for 2020-2021 and said that net bookings for the next quarter would be 16% lower, given the previous year’s strong performance and the gradual lifting of confinement measures.

Love AC and have completed every single one (except for the spin-offs) but Cyberpunk will be game of the year in my opinion.

At the moment, I can't get enough of Warzone, so Cyberpunk will have to be more than just impressive to take my attention away from my adventures on COD.

They take an awful amount of time to complete :)) Cyberpunk seems to have so much depth in the same way as GTA I daresay potentially, I will defo be getting Valhallah though, big fan of the Viking TV series and the Last Kingdom; going by the trailer it looked quiet similar

Bleh, new PS and Xbox look like crap. Focus in specs with overrated garbage like Call of duty on it. Nintendo all the way.

Personally I'm playing final fantasy. Just beat FF9 and it was great. Might give FF12 a try next.

Really becoming a big fan of the Tales of series.

Cyberpunk 2077: Sony pulls game from PlayStation store

Sony has pulled Cyberpunk 2077, one of the year's most-anticipated games, from the PlayStation store and offered refunds to all players.

The unprecedented move follows complaints that the game has been riddled with bugs and glitches, and is prone to crashes.

Earlier this week, the game’s developers CD Projekt Red offered refunds for the game.

The company has also committed to releasing patches to improve the game.

It’s unclear when Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) plans to return the game to the PlayStation Store.

It can still be bought on Xbox and PCs - and gamers who do not want be reimbursed for their PlayStation copies can still play the game and receive updates.

CDP sold mutton dressed as lamb. They lied when showcasing the game (on PC, not just consoles), and they knew the game was unfinished and not fit for release.

Rockstar spent 8 years on RDR2 (when the PS4 didn't exist), and managed to pull off a masterpiece.

Yes bugs are found, but when the bugs are so bad that the game is unplayable and looks like N64 graphics in some places, you know its a rush job.

CP2077 is an embarrassment for CDP, but the SJWs and ability to customise private parts makes up for the debacle I guess.

This was supposed to be a next gen title, it's not even a current gen title.

The only AAA I'm waiting for is Horizon Zero Dawn sequel - other than that I'm sticking with Arcade titles and RDR2 for now.

anyone know when ps5 might be up for sale in uk again, and whats happening with the new gran turismo

The mistake made by CDP was to release this on consoles. This game is too demanding for PS5 and Xbox Series x let alone the previous gen. consoles.

I've upgraded my PC and haven't experienced any of the bugs. Apart from the one crash I've experienced it has been perfect.

The bugs are very minor on PC. On high end systems it runs fine.

Humiliating stuff, greed cost them. They wanted to cash in on Xmas / lockdown period and ended up releasing a faulty product. Rockstar take their time for most part and deliver on the hype / time they tend to invest

I agree but to an extent. If the game was developed and meant to be released on PC, then CDP should've said so. On the other hand, I question the development and engineering aspect of this game given this game cannot even run smoothly on PS5/X, and these next gen consoles have hefty GPU power - PC/PS/Xbox all run on the same machine code. Are players forced to invest in high end PCs?

I think CP2077 is a victim of it's own hype. Witcher 3 was an amazing game - was always gonna be hard to top that. Plus all this SJW ** is riddiculous.

Awful stuff from CDPR. Hopefully the stupid sheep who worship these guys now finally realize their greed. Shouldn’t have released it on platforms that couldn’t handle it. This games entire development has been a mess

2020 has felt like a general down year for games and I can barely remember any of the new stuff that I played. Everything I was interested in seemed to be a remaster/remake or flopped. From a fighting game standpoint it was poor too, when GBVS is your only actual AND new 2020 fighting game and it loses to a re-release of MK11 it really says a lot.

Cyberpunk 2077 makers CD Projekt hit by ransomware hack

The maker of popular video game Cyberpunk 2077 has been hacked in a ransomware attack.

CD Projekt Red said hackers had accessed its internal network, digitally scrambled some of its data servers and tried to blackmail it.

The perpetrators claim to have stolen source code for several of the firm's games which they said they would leak unless a payment was made.

But the Polish games company said it would not negotiate.

In a statement on Twitter, CD Projekt Red posted a copy of the ransom note which said the hackers had copied code from Cyberpunk 2077, Gwent, and Witcher 3, including an unreleased version of the latter.

“We have also dumped all of your documents relating to accounting, administration legal, HR, investor relations and more!” the note added.

"Dumping" means copying the information to an external source.

“If we will not come to an agreement, then your source codes will be sold or leaked online and your documents will be sent to our contacts in gaming journalism,” read the note, giving a deadline of 48 hours.

Source code is the human-readable version of a computer program before it is transformed for use. Releasing it could make it easier for people to write hacks for the titles or even publish their own altered versions, as well as reveal some of their development secrets.

In a statement, posted by the game developers on Twitter, it said it has secured its “IT infrastructure and begun restoring the data” from back-ups.

“We will not give in to the demands or negotiate with the actor,” it said, adding that no personal data had been compromised in the breach.

The company has informed law enforcement and data protection authorities, while it investigates the issue.
